carpecanum, thank you so much for your feedback!

I'm completely new to commander (besides playing 2 games), and after a hiatus from MTG I thought I'd make a commander deck to join into the hype ^^

I got rid of some cards that didn't have anything special (Blood Artist), didn't fit the commander's color (Nahiri's Machinations), or were being replaced by others abilities (Engineered Might and Lunarch Mantle); to add Dolmen Gate, Contagion Clasp (for good measure), Contagion Engine, and Pollenbright Wings.

Thank you again for the comment!

Well Epicurus, you took the time to comment and at least think about what the deck is doing, so its fine if this is out of your element. I'm really looking for outside perspectives and weird ideas more than help with combos anyways.

I have a bunch of weird little interactions in the deck that probably aren't clear to a lot of players, and fundamentally, the goal of the deck is to get extra combat steps to trigger Ardenn and untap Alena.

You mention boros lacking tutors, but I am using Citanul Flute (creatures), Burnished Hart (land), Boonweaver Giant (auras), Stonehewer Giant (equipment), Sunforger (instants), and Enlightened Tutor (artifacts/enchantments).

As for ways to spend the mana, Captivating Crew is a really fun one especially with Lunarch Mantle. There is also Cavalier of Flame. I might find a few more, but activated abilities on creatures trump burn spells for this deck.

I did consider those creatures that have more power than their cost, but that just wasn't the direction I ended up taking. I also considered using Assault Suit and keeping those creatures around. I might try that idea out eventually, because Ardenn + Suit is funny. I think Kaldheim is going to have a bunch of stuff that will change this deck a lot, so I'll have a bunch of new things to try.

Given the number of low cost enchantments, Sun Titan is good here are bringing back graveyard'd stuff. you can then also include Gift of Immortality and a sac outlet like Lunarch Mantle or Ashnod's Altar which would be good here given your commander's token produciton ability. You then have another loop with Titan, gift and the sac outlet.

Hey, I'm an experienced Tiana pilot and would love to help! ( my deck link here ).

The first thing I would change is Wrath of God and Blasphemous Act because creature-only board wipes destroy the creatures, then the auras, so Tiana won't trigger for any of your auras. But board wipes like Hour of Revelation , Day of Reckoning, End Hostilities , Nevinyrral's Disk , Cataclysmic Gearhulk , Tragic Arrogance etc would make Tiana trigger on your auras. You could put in Auratog or Faith Healer so you respond to creature-only board wipes, or put in indestructible stuff like Hammer of Nazahn , Shielded by Faith , Kytheon, Hero of Akros  Flip etc.

Bludgeon Brawl has cool synergy with Tiana, because if Vandalblast , Scrap Mastery , Hour of Revelation etc are cast, then Tiana will trigger on your artifacts too. And if you include this, consider adding artifacts that sacrifice themselves like Unstable Obelisk , Commander's Sphere , Boros Locket , Boros Cluestone , Orazca Relic .

Along with self-sacrificing artifacts, I loved the idea of self-sacrificing auras and recycling them over and over with Tiana, especially with Sigil of the Empty Throne or Ajani's Chosen on the battlefield. Auras like Capashen Standard , Mortal Obstinacy , Flamespeaker's Will , Brand of Ill Omen , Sun Clasp , Weight of Conscience , Bound by Moonsilver , Lunarch Mantle , Uncontrolled Infestation , Inferno Fist , Guilty Conscience etc.

Other than the aforementioned cards, I'll also mention Mistmeadow Skulk which dodges board wipes, the new Swiftblade Vindicator and Smothering Tithe , Fabled Hero and other heroic cards that benefit from the aura recycling, Forgeborn Oreads and Scroll of the Masters and Mesa Enchantress for the aura recycling, Ethereal Armor , Helm of the Gods , Heavenly Blademaster , Laccolith Rig is stupid but fun, Heirloom Blade because RW sucks at draw (except this deck if you add auras that draw).

If I wanted to cut some cards from your deck, I would start with Order since it's 4 mana for a really narrow removal spell, and 3 mana to do something that odric or angelic skirmisher do (which is creatures so can be brought back into the game easier). Kwende, Pride of Femeref is essentially a 4/4 for 4 mana and is only useful for Tiana. Kitsune Mystic isn't needed with all the sacrificing and such. Authority of the Consuls and Godsend and Basilisk Collar isn't that impactful for an aggro strategy. Whispersilk Cloak gives shroud which isn't the best for a deck all about auras and equipment. Chariot of Victory isn't that good and doesn't add any power. And I would take out as many tapped lands as you don't mind, they slow down decks way too much, add Battlefield Forge .

Hope this helps makes your deck stronger!

Hey, you look familiar! =P

I've been obsessed with Brian for a couple months now, lol. The most important thing I learned in all my testing though, was this: don't mix cards that sac themselves (like Mogg Fanatic) with cards that need you to sac something else (like Collateral Damage). Maybe that's obvious to you, but it took me a couple go-rounds before I picked up on that.

If you dig deep enough, you can find synergies in all colors. Red's got stuff like Goblin Arsonist + Reckless Abandon. Or you could find self-sacrificers, like Wild Cantor.

As stated above, black is extra good at sacrificing things, so Golgari is a safe bet.

Mono-green could be strong. In addition to the Eldrazi-token deck of mine you saw, there's also stuff like Seal of Strength, Child of Thorns (which you already mentioned to me) and Llanowar Augur.

Even white and blue can join the party with stuff like Angelic Purge/Lunarch Mantle and Perilous Research respectively.

My friend eyes2sky and I have been discussing this guy a LOT lately, so if you need any more help, don't be afraid to hit either one of us up! And welcome to Team Brian!

Deltis half of those cards I don't own and the ones I do own I either took out or left out because:

Liliana's Elite: if I retrieved creature cards all the time this guy would not be strong all the time and it was not worth it.

Noosegraf Mob: it is way too expensive at 6 mana. the ability is kinda cool but at 6 mana it turns me off when everything else is half that or less.

Strange Augmentation: there is no way in God-Pharaoh I can trigger Delirium so the +2/+2 wont happen.

Lunarch Mantle: I have no use for flying and I have better ways of sacking creatures for the same effects.

Bontu's Monument: it is being used in another deck right now and is better used there.

Most of those cards are easy to get or are give or take 25 cent. But other cards I would suggest from Shadows and Eldrich are.. Give No Ground, Lunarch Mantle, Strange Augmentation, Rise from the Grave, Noosegraf Mob, Liliana's Elite, Gavony Unhallowed, Campaign of Vengeance, Ghoulcaller's Accomplice, Gisa's Bidding, From Under the Floorboards, Shamble Back, Gryff's Boon, Ethereal Guidance, Angelic Purge, and Corrupted Grafstone. Those should be enough to finish the deck. If you want other cards that could be of help for maybe a life drain rout, try Bontu's Monument. It will help all your black zombies cost less and whenever a creature enters in under your control opponents lose a life and you gain one. Again, all the cards I listed are either easy to get or cheap to buy in case you want them and don't have them. Cards from Kaladesh and Aether Revolt could help a little, but not as much as the ones I already listed. If you want more removal, Zendikar/Gatewatch has a decent bit in both white and black. If there is a specific way you wan the deck to play, I could help tweak it in that direction. As for the cards on the fence, see if you like anything listed more than those before deciding.
