Kythos, God of the Walls

Legendary Artifact Creature - Gargoyle God

Indestructible

As long as you control five or fewer artifacts, Kythos isn't a creature.

As long as your devotion to colorless is more than seven, Kythos has flying.

Artifacts you control untap whenever an artifact you control becomes the target of a spell of ability an opponent controls.

5/9

I'd like a Common draft chaff artifact or sorcery which is interesting. (It bugs me to no end that they print boring bad cards. I understand the goal in bad cards, but want interesting ones.)

See: Marauder's Axe and Torch Gauntlet as strictly worse versions of Bonesplitter , Darksteel Axe , and Vulshok Morningstar

That's unoriginal poor quality.

Original, poor quality would be Skyblinder Staff , Razor Boomerang , Tormentor's Trident , Thirsting Axe .

Thank you razelfark, and thanks for the rule precision around Thirsting Axe and Needle Spires. I'll try this deck (at least what I manage to gather) against some friends at the next Game Day. I will tell you how it was, wish me luck

I like your use of the Thirsting Axe. Just remember if your creature does go unblocked, you can always shift it to something you would rather sacrifice, or to a creature that survived combat that was blocked, or lastly Aethergeode Miner and use his ability so you don't loose any creature. One correction to your deck description is that Needle Spires would be sacrificed by the effect of the Axe because it says "At the begging of the end step" meaning the spires would still be a creature.

Other then that I like the synergy of your card choices and think its an interesting take on R/W aggro. Best of luck with the deck.

Slayer's Plate looks good even if I don't have that much humans, but I liked how I could abuse Thirsting Axe cost efficiency with double strike. I mean would you rather block and loose your creature or leave 12hp behind ?

Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions, it means a lot. I built it from my collection. Maybe replace the curio vendor with four copies of Falkenwrath Reaver instead. Freezingfist, those would be a better fit, I do love investing in magic. So those would be good to add as well as pick up before they rotate out as well. Firebones675, thank you! I thought the deck was a little big. I will try to cut those and trim down the deck and see what happens. Maybe replace that Terrarion with a Thirsting Axe instead for a little power boost!

Yes you can get Voltaic Brawler and other cards up for one good swing. The advantage with this deck is that I'm not swinging with just one card. I'm swinging with 5 to 6 cards each one with 5 to 7 power. Most decks can't block it all and even if they do, they've wiped out their battlefield and I can still swing like that again the next turn (if using Thirsting Axe.)
