Courier's Capsule Discussion

A bit more low end ramp in general will help make the deck faster. Cards like Sakura-Tribe Elder, Rampant Growth and Fellwar Stone are all good choices.

Having only a few counterspells seems not worth it, I would drop them for more card advantage and just value your opponents out. Stuff like Courier's Capsule is really godo as you can spread out the cost of the drawing over two turns.

I like the idea of the deck! I would say that Inventors' Fair is probably a better card in this deck than Phyrexia's Core because it'll most likely gain you life every turn, and even better, it can fetch an artifact card like Salvage Titan from you deck by sacrificing it. You probably want 4 Executioner's Capsules in the deck and maybe some number of Courier's Capsules, because they fit the artifacts in the graveyard theme, and they help you get ahead on board or with cards in hand! Another couple of cards you might consider that are fairly popular in standard right now are Glint-Nest Crane and Metalwork Colossus. Both of those are cards I could see fitting in here nicely. I get the idea behind the Ironclad Revolutionary, Secret Salvage and Defiant Salvager, but I think they could be easy cards to cut. Most of your artifacts already give you benefits to sacrifice them with their own abilities, so you probably don't need to sacrifice them to other abilities. Secret Salvage is a very high priced cmc and it requires you to have 4 of any card you would want to target with it (or else it isn't even worth it) and it requires one of them to be in the graveyard. Ovalchase Daredevil could be a good recurring creature in a deck like this as well, plus you dont have any cards currently filling the 4 mana cost card slot in your deck. Ultimately it's your deck, and you should put whatever 60 cards you want in there! who cares how good or bad it is if you have fun playing.

Courier's Capsule and Font of Fortunes are bad.

Why wouldn't you run something like Think Twice, which let you trigger all your creatures twice.

Also, justify your sideboard.

Change Log 01/05/17

Added colored artifacts for the Dimir artifact archetype. Thought it would be a good idea to include some Dimir/X artifacts as well for some added variance.

OVERALL THOUGHTS: I'm a bit worried that this archetype as it is now builds itself too easily. I would prefer to have more cross-pollination among archetypes and less "this card is only good in the artifact deck". There is a risk that having both goblins (which are basically junk cards if no one is in the archetype) and artifacts (many of which are only good in the Dimir archetype) dilute the cube too much, making the less archetype-driven decks worse off due to fewer playables. What do you think?

Changes made today are added Muddle the Mixture and Perplex. Both are budget ways to transmute/tutor for combo pieces. Muddle can get Sword of the Meek, Thopter Foundry, Nim Deathmantle and Pili-Pala. Perplex can get Ashnod's Altar as well as the nonartifact combo pieces Eldrazi Displacer and Grand Architect.

I also added Chromatic Lantern. The price of Lantern is falling, thank goodness, it's currently at $4, used to be $8 because it's been reprinted in Commander 2016. I'm happy about this because Lantern should be a staple card in any deck using any of these new four color Commanders and now budget decks with them can use it.

Nevinyrral's Disk was also added for some mass removal. I like that Disk is an artifact, I can get back from the graveyard as well as tutor for it if I need it.

Cards cut today were: Silas Renn, Seeker Adept, Dispel, Cultivator's Caravan, Fortuitous Find and Courier's Capsule.

Dredge4life, that's a really good point about being able to sac an artifact in response to being exiled. This is another reason Grand Architect is so good with Breya. If I'm tapped out I can still tap her or Architect or any other blue creature to save an artifact.

I will give Etherium Astrolabe a playtest in place of Courier's Capsule because your right Astrolabe can be used more than once. However I do really like Capsule with Silas Renn, Seeker Adept. I can loop it for four mana to draw two cards each turn.
