Llanowar Augur Discussion

Couple of suggestions from a first glance:
Maybe try Become Immense over Titanic Growth? The hard cast is costly but you could possibly still delve out cards to even make it less expensive than Titanic. Sideboard for sure, in a deck like this you won't wanna be able to delve too many cards because that will mean you're VERY behind, but it could prove useful vs. high amounts of removal.

24 lands and 16 creatures is way too many for infect. Ideally you would have 12 infecters, 20 lands, and the rest pump. The Llanowar Augur could be replaced with Giant Growth and take out 4 Forest for Rancor.

Looks pretty fun, I like Llanowar Augur. I would run Grisly Salvage over Scout the Borders though, it's the same thing for less mana. Also Commune with the Gods might be worth looking into as well, since it can grap your Mortal Combats. Also, I really like Vengeful Pharaoh in these style of decks, possible five mana slot over The Gitrog Monster? It's something to consider.

Yea, I've been playing Golgari and Mono Black my entire MTG career.
Blue and black don't typically pair very well because they don't compliment each other's weaknesses. However a few decks do exist, Faeries, Mill, Horror Tribal (Thing in the Ice Flip,) and Zombies. Of those Faeries is typically regarded as the best.
Green and black however go perfectly hand in hand. Green offers everything mono black lacks, better creatures, artifact, and enchantment removal that compliment black's control aspects.
Have you considered playing Mono Green Infect? It can be built for very cheap and is capable of turn 2 wins.

Exteez yes i see what you mean by using Slaughterhorn the reson i dident do it to start with is because of the trample effect Llanowar Augur have but i will properly do as you say because it is a huge deal to have a pump spell that cant be countered. Thanks for your comment and suggestion.

Please consider using Slaughterhorn instead of Llanowar Augur. Your opponent could kill Augur during their own turn, making him useless, or counter him. Slaughterhorn's bloodrush ability makes him an uncounterable Giant Growth. (Also Invigorate is not banned from modern. It just hasn't been reprinted for it.)

Might do more hexproof, hitting lots of burn for some reason.

@Burl: Now I'm seeing it... Haha I really like your suggestions, so it will be -8 Forest, +4 Lotus Petal, +2 Tranquil Thicket, -2 Predator's Strike, and +4 Gitaxian Probe. In my playtesting I have noticed that although Llanowar Augur is great bang for buck, it is too predictable, and Rot Wolf is an excellent value play but is too slow unfortunately. Gut Shot is underwhelming in Infect, but I do agree with Sandstorm, so I'll put two in. For Tormod's Crypt, you make a good point so I'll put in Relic of Progenitus as well. Thank you so much for all the great suggestions!
@lonker: Thank you for clarifying, yes I totally agree with this and will update accordingly. Thank you for the great suggestions!
