Woah, holy knights.

Okay. So. first thing is first. Obviously, we are going knights tribal. The second thing to think about is what is it's theme. You said you want to go King Arthur. Honestly, King Kenrith makes for a better King Arthur deck. But, we're working with Syr Gwynn, so, we are more focusing on the Knights of King Arthur.

Are you wanting more of a knight heavy creature based deck, or equipment based deck. in my deck Valiant Knights of Eldraine, I focused more on a split of equipment and knights giving me 13 equipment and a total of 11 knights including Syr Gywn and 6 non knight creatures. Now, I've built my deck to try to be as powerful as I possibly can make it. What I'm going to suggest below is more flavor and theme based.

I think a cool direction to take this would be focusing on the Legendary theme, after all King Arthur is the most legendary legend of all time. And there is a perfect card that is knightly and legendary centered and it is, The Circle of Loyalty. For each knight already on the field, it costs one less. And when it is on the the field, for each legendary spell you cast, it creates a knight, and lets you sink some unused mana into making another knight.

Okay, we have our legendary theme. Let's round this out with some legendary weapons (think Excalibur) and legendary knights. Most renderings of King Arthur has anywhere from 12-15 knights at his table. I say we go somewhere in between and pick 13 legendary knights. Looking at the gatherer, I see a total of 31 legendary knights, but only 24 possible in our colors. I'd wittle it down to these 13 knights and 1 dragon. Adriana, Captain of the Guard, Arvad the Cursed, Aryel, Knight of Windgrace, Balan, Wandering Knight, Danitha Capashen, Paragon, Josu Vess, Lich Knight, Kwende, Pride of Femeref, Lena, Selfless Champion, Sylvia Brightspear and her dragon buddy Khorvath Brightflame, Syr Gywn, Hero of Ashvale, Syr Konrad, the Grim, Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor, and Vona, Butcher of Magan.

Next, I would put in an equipment for each of the knights. So, 13 equipments. Keeping with the legendary theme, there are 18 legendary equipments. My choices for the 13 to use are Blackblade Reforged, Elbrus, the Binding Blade  Flip, Embercleave, Godsend, Helm of Kaldra, Sword of Kaldra, Shield of Kaldra, Helm of the Host, Konda's Banner, Shadowspear, Sword of the Animist, Tenza, Godo's Maul, and Tatsumasa, the Dragon's Fang.

So far that is a total of 28 legendary cards. You're going to want between 35 and 38 lands in this deck, I'd personally go with 36 bringing the total up to 64 leaving 46 spaces. Out of those 46 spaces, I'd want atleast another 10 ramp spells so, I'd look into Tithe, Weathered Wayfarer, Knight of the White Orchid, Arcane Signet, Boros Signet, Orzhov Signet, Rakdos Signet, Talisman of Conviction, Talisman of Hierarchy, and Talisman of Indulgence.

With the 36 spaces left, we probably want some card draw and tutors to get our knights equipment. Knights of the Black Rose, Puresteel Paladin, Stoneforge Mystic, Stonehewer Giant, Enlightened Tutor, Open the Armory, Steelshaper's Gift, Scheming Symmetry, Herald's Horn, Icon of Ancestry, and Vanquisher's Banner are all really good here giving us 11 options to dig, leaving us with 25 spots left.

Can't forget removal. I'd personally go with 7 single target and 4 board wipes. Those being Path to Exile, Swords to Plowshares, Crackling Doom, Utter End, Righteous Confluence, Return to Dust, Rakdos Charm, Wrath of God, Single Combat, and Tragic Arrogance.

With the remainder of the 15 spots, I would fill it with some utility and cards to push through for the win. Here I would look into Knights' Charge, Master Warcraft, War Flare, Boros Charm, Unbreakable Formation, Heavenly Blademaster, Knight Exemplar, Leonin Shikari, Silverwing Squadron, Nahiri, Storm of Stone, Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord, Bloodforged Battle-Axe, Sunforger, and Sigiled Sword of Valeron.

This should be a pretty well rounded and focused deck, or at least a path for you to take if you so choose.

a couple of Kwende, Pride of Femeref should be a good inclusion, since most of your creatures has first strike.

Noire_Samhain, You know, its funny. i have a bunch of Lapse of Certainty a card i feel if its not reprinted, will go up in price in a few years because its one of the few white Counterspells (youre right nobody expects a counter in white.) The funny part is how i obtained them: friggen dollar tree. yes, the dollar tree packs. I was curious and stupid, but maybe not..i actually pulled a Carpet of Flowers in one. so, its not all garbage. Thanks for the suggestions im definitely considering them! especially Benalish Marshal in place of Kwende, Pride of Femeref .

Hey Kehrmann15, here are some thoughts about the deck, especially how to improve it with cards we already have in our playgroup.

Creatures

Arvad the Cursed : In the current deck he probably has too few other Legendaries he can reliably pump. I would tend to replace him with a lord who pushes all the Knights. For example I could give you Benalish Marshal .

Kwende, Pride of Femeref : Similar to Arvad, there are very few targets at the moment. (Three Knights with Firststrike.) As a good replacement I could give you e.g. Aryel, Knight of Windgrace . Besides her respectable 4/4 vigilance (especially useful in multiplayer) she is a "mana sink", so she can use open mana even if you can't play hand cards. Specifically, she creates Knights tokens or destroys other creatures on each turn.

Belle of the Brawl and Skynight Vanguard would be shaky candidates for me, which could ideally be replaced by stronger Knights. Perfect would be for example Puresteel Paladin and Knight Exemplar . But both are not quite cheap and unfortunately I don't have them either.

Otherwise I'd rather go in the direction of 25 creatures, so maybe add two more value creatures. For example, I could give you the two: Kambal, Consul of Allocation fits well to your drain theme. Which you did to Neotopian and me last time. Sram, Senior Edificer lets you draw a card for each piece of equipment.

This brings us directly to the next topic.

Card Draw

Card Draw still seems to me to be the weakest point in the deck. Cards I can give you from my collection would be Read the Bones (e.g. as a replacement for Call the Cavalry , because you don't really play Go-Wide with the deck and hardly profit from it), Skullclamp and Sunforger (both equipment with which you have more synergies and absolute "must haves" in the deck). Especially Sunforger is crazy with your Commander, if you can fetch a CMC4 Instant for 2 mana and cast for free.

For the Sunforger to work properly, we need a few more instants with impact for <=CMC4.

Removal

Removal should be as versatile as possible ("target permanent" is better than "target creature") and as reliable as possible ("destroy" or even "exile" better than "x damage"). Therefore I would replace Integrity / Intervention by Utter End and Justice Strike by Swords to Plowshares (if any of us have it). Adamant Will is only good in special situations, so I would replace it with a good removal. I could give you Bedevil for example.

Tutors

In order to have Sunforger or other cards on hand at the right time, a few tutors would be helpful. For example, I could give you Diabolic Tutor from my collection. Open the Armory would also be a cheap tutor who fits well to your topic.

I'm not finished on the other topics yet, but here are my first notes on equipment, mana rocks and lands:

Equipment

Find a few stronger pieces of equipment to replace the following:

Mana Rocks

One or two more Mana Rocks. If possible <=CMC2, otherwise (if CMC3) only with additional use. In any case Manalith out and if anywhere findable Sol Ring in.

Lands

No Taplands without upside (Gates etc.). If we don't find better duals (e.g. the scry temples would offer a nice upside) replace them with basics.

I am working on building a Knight deck and trying to figure out synergies. I am having trouble wrapping my head around how protection works between creatures on your team. Looking at Phyrexian Crusader with Protection from white would it be able to Receive any benefit from white cards that buff all creatures/knights such as Knight Exemplar , Kwende, Pride of Femeref or Odric, Lunarch Marshal . Also would an enchantment that hits all creatures such Always Watching have any interaction with him?

Boza on Evergreen keywords becomes Skills

While I disagree with Caerwyn on the confusing and arbitrary side (given Wizards just recently changed the rules on a metric ton of cards), I do agree on the point of necessity.

This is design space that evergreen keywords are actually trying to avoid. There are only a few rares and mythics that have the "list of keywords" ability. Not only is to complicating the intentionally simplistic evergreen keywords, it is also design space that had to be there at the start and cannot be reimplemented into game at any point. The list of words is not really available on the card, and that list can change.

Your reminder text:

"(A Skill is a static keyword ability that applies to creatures, such as Flying, First Strike, Double Strike, Deathtouch, Lifelink, Haste, Hexproof, Indestructible, Trample, Menace, Defender, Vigilance, Reach, Flash, Protection, Landwalk, Fear, Intimidate, Shroud, and any Skill introduced at a later time)"

Is increblity hard to parse and essentially just puts the text on something like Cairn Wanderer in parenthesis, while also making it somehow even longer. And you cannot put "and any skill introduced at a later time" as part of the rules or even the reminder text, because it says nothing.

The design space for this is also limited and, crucially, is already being implemented on some cards. For example, Kwende, Pride of Femeref really cares about creatures with first strike. But thematically, it cannot be that a card cares for all keywords or even more than 1 at the same time.

Lets take a close look at Rayami. First of the Fallen . He lists specific abilities, because those are the keyword abilities the Sultai colors have access to:

Evergreen

Odric, Lunarch Marshal intentionally list skulk, a blue-black abilility to both reference the set he is from and for flavor. So, while those abilities are listed in huge block of text, this is rarely used on a handful of cards.

Finally, the large block of text is actually extremely appealing to any Timmy, so getting rid of it can disappoint pdemographics of players.

Maybe Kwende, Pride of Femeref might be a card to consider? I still love the deck either way lol.
