Dispersal Shield Discussion

SerraMeya on Brago, King Eternal - EDH

Anmerkungen:

Disenchant , Swords to Plowshares .

  • Turn to Mist : Einfach weil Resto-Engel so viel besser ist...

fortsetzung mag folgen.... :)

I think that sacrificing your creatures with a dying trigger is a nice approach but the other ones are more for reanimation. You won't get Eldrazi Devastator or Ulamog's Crusher out in any deck with a similar theme as a competetive one. Even against casual bogle it would easily lose.

Maybe you could abuse the ability to get the emerger out early in the game like playing 3-4x Dispersal Shield, 1-2 Rush of Knowledge and maybe but just maybe 1-2 Accelerated Mutation

If you play green you have to use at least some destroy all enchantment cards in the sideboard and something that deals damage to each flying creature (against faeries). Maybe Echoing Truth against token?

If you want to try agains some not that competetive Deck you can play against one of these: Arcane Dredge Burn, Pauper Merfolk GU Aggro or Thoughtpicker Magemark Control

Hi :)

i guess you like to win by going infinite. i would add some Tutors to search for your Combo pieces:Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Enlightened Tutor, Fabricate, Inventors' Fair, Rune-Scarred Demon, Open the Armory and Steelshaper's Gift.

protecting your Combos is very important. breya Combos are well known so every Opponent will save countermagic and/or artifact removal for you. adding more countermagic will help a lot. beside Counterspell i found that the cheap ones like Dispel, Swan Song do a great Job beside Negate and Dispersal Shield.

at least i would definitily throw out Hellkite Tyrant (and regarding to the mana base Pia and Kiran Nalaar too as 2 red manas in a cmc are too much in a breya-combo list). Hellkite Tyrant can be your own grave if it gets stolen, recursed, copied or whatever... and believe me... it will happen

Silumgar's Scorn is worse then just Counterspell, Arcane Denial or Dispersal Shield and im not sure how useful Draconic Roar is over something like Impact Resonance.

cards like Selvala's Stampede(maybe board), Mind's Desire, Summoning Trap and Bribery let you cheat in extra creatures/stuff (personally i like Omniscience aswell, but its a bit expensive)

Skyshroud Claim>Explosive Vegetation and with all that ramp, cards like Seasons Past and Eternal Witness/Greenwarden of Murasa and clone effects like Altered Ego become useful.

What Dragon through yonder Maelstrom Breaks? is my dragon deck, cards like Aggravated Assault help make things dangerous

Fun-looking deck!

Some suggestions of creatures with high converted mana costs: Great Whale (not budget, but amazing for this deck), Jokulmorder, Mage-Ring Responder, Goliath Sphinx, Beast of Burden, Quicksilver Dragon, Icefall Regent, and Rishadan Brigand.

Some suggestions of cards that work nicely with the high converted mana costs of cards in this deck: Puca's Mischief (not budget, but could be a lot of fun), Energy Tap, Ratchet Bomb, Dispersal Shield, Dragon Wings, Hedron Matrix, Ugin's Insight, and Psychic Battle.

Seeing as how there's been most of a page's worth of deck links with no one commenting on the deck above their post, I'm going to break serve and comment some without posting any of my own decks. The only one I really want feedback on right now is so meta-dependent that it's hard to get useful comments anyway. That said, the deck I decided to respond to is from Holtzman with Momir Vig, Simic Visionary as commander. The only advice s/he asked for was for "better clones" and to that I say: Duplicant.

But I don't want to stop there. You have Dryad Arbor in your deck and a ton of green creatures, so Green Sun's Zenith is good value. Note that GSZ won't trigger Momir, though, but casting it for X=0 to get your Dryad Arbor is a strong turn 1 or 2 play.

Also, you get a ton of value from playing creatures with Momir as your commander. So much in fact that I highly recommend playing mana dorks over sorcery ramp or artifacts for your ramping. Cut Simic Signet, Rampant Growth, Chromatic Lantern - this one is a waste in dual color decks, honestly - and Commander's Sphere, Cultivate, Kodama's Reach.

In their place, add Llanowar Elves and their functional reprints, plus Birds of Paradise, maybe Gyre Sage, Devoted Druid, Wall of Roots, and Cryptolith Rite since you're creature heavy. After these swaps try to find another 2-3 cards to drop in exchange for more mana dorks so that your ramp package is actually larger than it was before, but if you can't at least these changes will lower your curve a bit more and give you more chances to trigger Momir in the long run.

Your deck runs Aluren and has a lot of 2-3 CMC creatures. Add Cloudstone Curio for truly wild Momir hijinks.

Add Man-o'-War so you can 'reset' your clones while triggering Momir yet again.

Go for cheaper counterspells. Try out Swan Song, Arcane Denial, Delay, perhaps even Remand in place of some of your 3 CMC counters. You might even like Dispersal Shield depending on your meta.

Hey bananaboms that was quite a wall of text you wrote haha! but i think its turning in something awesome thanks to your help.

about the duo mana lands. i find them quite expensive same goes for languish.i think im going to buy 2 bosters one magic origins and one dragons of tarkir. i might get lucky with some cards. and those artifacts and Orzhov Basilica i already own :P. but if i take out Supply/Demand and Diabolic Tutor wont i have to little search cards? (btw thats why i like liliana aswel :P )and liliana is roughly the same price as that jace. im still not sure about those 2.

and i think your right about keiga but silumgar can only controle 1 creature/planeswalker. so with keiga i acn controle one more.

but i realy like the idea and the way of slowing the enemy down instead of allot of cheap creatures.

but but i like my bribery!! :P even more creatures of them onder my controle. and most of my friends do have some high cost powerfull creatures. but he could be sittuational. i already have him so i could put him in to try but i wont buy another of him.

and i do have some counter spells already but they are maybe not as good as Mana Leak

the ones i got and thought that might be usefull are:Hindering Touch Dispersal Shield Condescend Remove Soul
