There are any number of cards that prevent Tajic from being killed by your own damage. Magebane Armor and Flickering Ward for example. Inviolability or anything that give Indestructible as well.

This is a great deck. If you want to stick with the equipment theme, you could sub in Goblin Gaveleer for Monastery Swiftspear . I would also try to find a better budget option than Inventor's Goggles - maybe Trusty Machete , Magebane Armor , or Grafted Wargear .

High Alert is a redundant new addition to this deck to allow you to have more redundancy.

Also Sight of the Scalelords is pretty good. It doesn't combo well with Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive , but it does give most of your team vigilance. I would imagine that blocking isn't really the issue for you since you will likely have more creatures in play than most other players so this might be better than Brave the Sands . Other cards for vigilance Always Watching and Loyal Unicorn

Love the Slagwurm Armor what are your thoughts on Magebane Armor ?

I did get to try it out, but not as much as I'd like. Busy, busy, busy... The few games I have had have been hit or miss. While people don't expect the punishment neheb can deal out, once they know, you (and him) become targets. I've been able to crush the table a few times, make a draw here and there, and lost a few. I've also changed quite a few things from other neheb player's suggestions.

Stuffy Doll to hate a specific player, Combustible Gearhulk big guy with draw or damage, Fire Servant more ouch, Thermo-Alchemist Not sure what to think yet, seems decent, Insult quick doubling damage and some prevention prevention, Magebane Armor makes neheb a bigger tank and avoids your own hate-everything spells, Doubling Cube redonk. I had 100+ mana with it out, Caged Sun eh, chopping block. Kinda helpful but also expensive. Flamekin Village and Hanweir Battlements haste in a pinch, since I can't afford the crazy haste land from kamigawa, Smoldering Crater and some other cyclers for helpful draws later on in the game.

I ended up not using godo or the other card, since I came to the same conclusions you did with them. I also dropped aggravated assault after I hit a table with infinite neheb turns and felt yucky afterwards, haha. All in all, it's been very fun, and I'm still eager for lots more testing when the time of year where everyone isn't busy rolls around again. I also made your firesong and sunspeaker deck but have had zero plays with real people yet, so there's something to look forward to as well. Thanks for responding and I hope to see some update love for these decks in the future with new sets. /wall of text

I'd recommend dropping the following as they are way to weak/slow for commander. Also you have no way to tap your howling mine to prevent opponents from drawing cards (they will get the first draw from it rather than you): bone saw Bonesplitter Shuko Howling Mine

Replace these cards with: Magebane Armor Argentum Armor Mind's Eye Sunset Pyramid

Those 2 armours can be found for under $2 and are actually provide enough damage for your commander to kill people (in comparison to the ones I suggest removing).

Keep in mind that with your current deck.... lets say you managed to equip those 3 cards to your commander. He now does 5 damage. You'd to swing at an opponent 5 times to deal the commander damage to kill them. 3 opponents = 15 times and I guarantee they aren't just sitting around letting you do that. Your equipment needs to add serious damage because you can't bank on having 3+ pieces equipped at all times.

You can also try to use Pariah's Shield + General's Kabuto + Magebane Armor, or anything that grants indestructible like Darksteel Plate to make losing by damage almost impossible.

Scourge of the Nobilis and Rise of the Hobgoblins are good.

If you want to protect your boss from your own damage spells maybe Crown of Awe or Magebane Armor

Earthquake and Chain Reaction

Predatory Urge (I see it in your maybe board), Magebane Armor (fighting is non-combat), Ulvenwald Tracker, Sprouting Phytohydra and Arena.

Deadbridge Goliath could be killed by attack/fighting then used for counters from the graveyard.

Thopter Assembly gives you an airforce and 5 weenies to attack your boss with every other turn.
