Shamble Back Discussion

Hi thanks for the advice. Obviously Shamble Back is a nice card, but in this deck is important to Trigger the Binding Mummy ETB effect as instant to gain some advantage, so Vile Rebirth is totally necessary.

JoeBob21 Hey there!
I'm currently running Ghoulcaller's Chant as recursion, however I'll look into Shamble Back. My lifegain comes from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, but I don't really want to gain much life as I'd much rather spend that mana killing my opponents. Thanks for the comment!

Shamble Back is good because i saw no graveyard recursion so this wont necessarely hurt that much. Crypt Incursion isnt that bad because (a you have no lifegain (b creatures die a lot in pauper. Trespasser's Curse is pretty good because people can spam out creatures fast when there all commons

Very cool build! Seems like a lot of fun when it goes off.
Have you considered 1-2 Hooting Mandrills and/or Gurmag Anglers as potential top-ends? They can drop turn 3-4 pretty consistently if your beetles/feeders are stalling out, especially if you were to swap out some of your Jungle Hollows for Evolving Wilds.
If you're not feeling the Delve, there are some other cool, synergistic cards that come to mind:
- Songs of the Damned and Caravan Vigil for ramp
- Soulshriek to help with your Rite of Consumption plan
- Nimble Mongoose will be amazing with quick threshold
- Vile Rebirth and Shamble Back to fuel your sac outlets in black
- Chatter of the Squirrel and Scatter the Seeds and Night Soil to fuel sac in green
- Ghastly Demise for cheap, efficient removal
- Blossoming Wreath and Pulse of Murasa to stall aggro
- Dregscape Zombie and Rotting Rats because this deck could break Unearth
Love it as is, just thought I'd share... Happy brewing!

i actually havent been able to play this deck yet. Its my current project. As quickly as this deck can mill the opponent, i dont think that any more than 2 copies are needed. Also, with Jace's Phantasm we arent too concerned about creatures as well as the additional blocker and life gain from Shamble Back, we are fairly well protected. That is something that is definitely going to need to be tested thoroughly.
