Forgeborn Oreads Discussion

3x Oblivion Ring, let's call them A, B and C.

Step 1: Cast A, exile irrelevant card.

Step 2: Cast B, exile A, irrelevant card returns.

Step 3: Cast C, exile B, A returns, exile C, B returns, exile A, C returns, exile B. Infinite loop performed.

Pair this with your favourite constellation card for infinite ETB triggers.

For infinite damage use Forgeborn Oreads or Grim Guardian.

For infinite mill use Sage of Mysteries or Thassa's Devourer.

For infinite life use Nexus Wardens or Underworld Coinsmith.

For infinite power/toughness use Eutropia the Twice-Favored, Nylea's Colossus, Oakheart Dryads, Pious Wayfarer, Setessan Champion, Setessan Skirmisher or Strength from the Fallen, preferably with Humbler of Mortals or Whitewater Naiads to prevent blocking.

For infinite tokens use Archon of Sun's Grace.

For infinite draw use Eidolon of Blossoms, Setessan Champion or Shoal Kraken.

My best reccomendations for improving the performance of the deck is to add in more hand disruption such as Thoughtseize and Agonizing Remorse to handle answers for your threats.

I think Mogis, God of Slaughter is a really good idea to pair with your Spectacle cards, and you might want to consider an extra copy.

I'm personally not a fan of Ill-Gotten Inheritance and Forgeborn Oreads since they don't provide very much board presence and are very slow. I'd reccomend maybe replacing them with versatile damage options such as Shock and Lightning Strike.

I like Oath of Kaya but if it is in your deck you should look into putting in more planeswalkers such as Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, Elspeth, Sun's Champion, Chandra, Torch of Defiance, Chandra, Fire Artisan and Chandra, Awakened Inferno.

The deck is super sweet as it is but I think there's potential for it to become something especially good!

Hey, I'm an experienced Tiana pilot and would love to help! ( my deck link here ).

The first thing I would change is Wrath of God and Blasphemous Act because creature-only board wipes destroy the creatures, then the auras, so Tiana won't trigger for any of your auras. But board wipes like Hour of Revelation , Day of Reckoning, End Hostilities , Nevinyrral's Disk , Cataclysmic Gearhulk , Tragic Arrogance etc would make Tiana trigger on your auras. You could put in Auratog or Faith Healer so you respond to creature-only board wipes, or put in indestructible stuff like Hammer of Nazahn , Shielded by Faith , Kytheon, Hero of Akros  Flip etc.

Bludgeon Brawl has cool synergy with Tiana, because if Vandalblast , Scrap Mastery , Hour of Revelation etc are cast, then Tiana will trigger on your artifacts too. And if you include this, consider adding artifacts that sacrifice themselves like Unstable Obelisk , Commander's Sphere , Boros Locket , Boros Cluestone , Orazca Relic .

Along with self-sacrificing artifacts, I loved the idea of self-sacrificing auras and recycling them over and over with Tiana, especially with Sigil of the Empty Throne or Ajani's Chosen on the battlefield. Auras like Capashen Standard , Mortal Obstinacy , Flamespeaker's Will , Brand of Ill Omen , Sun Clasp , Weight of Conscience , Bound by Moonsilver , Lunarch Mantle , Uncontrolled Infestation , Inferno Fist , Guilty Conscience etc.

Other than the aforementioned cards, I'll also mention Mistmeadow Skulk which dodges board wipes, the new Swiftblade Vindicator and Smothering Tithe , Fabled Hero and other heroic cards that benefit from the aura recycling, Forgeborn Oreads and Scroll of the Masters and Mesa Enchantress for the aura recycling, Ethereal Armor , Helm of the Gods , Heavenly Blademaster , Laccolith Rig is stupid but fun, Heirloom Blade because RW sucks at draw (except this deck if you add auras that draw).

If I wanted to cut some cards from your deck, I would start with Order since it's 4 mana for a really narrow removal spell, and 3 mana to do something that odric or angelic skirmisher do (which is creatures so can be brought back into the game easier). Kwende, Pride of Femeref is essentially a 4/4 for 4 mana and is only useful for Tiana. Kitsune Mystic isn't needed with all the sacrificing and such. Authority of the Consuls and Godsend and Basilisk Collar isn't that impactful for an aggro strategy. Whispersilk Cloak gives shroud which isn't the best for a deck all about auras and equipment. Chariot of Victory isn't that good and doesn't add any power. And I would take out as many tapped lands as you don't mind, they slow down decks way too much, add Battlefield Forge .

Hope this helps makes your deck stronger!

I forgot that Starfield of Nyx affects creature-enchantments too; it will cause your gods to be 4/4 or 5/5. The "benefit" is it can turn them into creatures without the requisite devotion, but that doesn't seem especially helpful. It shines when you're running a bunch of utility enchantment creatures, or constellation effects (Eidolon of Blossoms, Forgeborn Oreads).

Your color fixing feels fine when I playtest, the vivid crags might be overkill when coming into play tapped. Consider Jungle Shrine instead? Also the more non-basics you run the harder Duergar Hedge-Mage will be to trigger, particularly for the mode you want. I would suggest +2 Always Watching, maybe -1 Iroas and -1 Starfield to make room? You might also try to slot in some tutor effects to let you customize the anthems you're grabbing, since they're mostly bad in twos but pretty critical to get one.

Gah, Glittering Wish would be perfect but it's $5 each. Idyllic Tutor is even more... Lost Auramancers?

Commune with the Gods is pretty spot-on for flavor; did you consider Benefaction of Rhonas or Vessel of Nascency? The former is card advantage and the latter grabs your planeswalker. Kruphix's Insight? Reviving Melody is also a good enabler if you run some more self-mill seek effects. Satyr Wayfinder might help keep you on curve mana-wise?

Only card I can seemingly find is Forgeborn Oreads, but she requires me to ALSO make everything an Enchantment.

Now we're talking 5+ cards for the combo and that's just outrageous lol.

Here is my attempt to figure out my "7 by 9" classification of my deck (Referenced article about "7 by 9"). The deck doesn't really fit into the model well since many of the cards overlap by just being enchantments that there's a lot of categories/single cards that only care if other enchantments get played.

The deck itself cost a lot to get rolling and I like where the ramp sits right now even if it's a bit high on cards, but being a 5 color deck has its requriements. I'd like to increase the number of cost reduction cards. And slightly increase the number of draw, and combo cards. If I had to I would probably remove some of the buff/removal/graveyard cards. The issue I have though is that I want to keep the same number of creatures as early agression is this decks downfall. If I could I would also update the mana base and then be able to cut some of the ramp cards.

Number of enchantments: 36 (a * represents that this card cares about enchantments) (15 are auras)

Mana (14)

Ramp(10):

Mana fixing(2):

Cost reduction(2):

Tutor(9) *

Enchantment tutor(6):

Graveyard(3):

Draw(6):*

Removal(7):

Protection(5):

Buff(4):

Why are you thinking about removing the Hellkite? Is it the high CMC?

Other lower CMC options that do similar things include the following: Gibbering Fiend, Keldon Marauders, Impact Tremors, Forgeborn Oreads, Keldon Champion, Foundry Champion, Blind Hunter, Bloodhunter Bat, Dakmor Ghoul, Grim Guardian, Pierce Strider, Purphoros, God of the Forge, and Outpost Siege. Personally, I think Gibbering Fiend and Keldon Marauders are the best. They're super low CMC, so you can play them much earlier in the game and start pinging the opponent for more damage sooner.

Invader Parasite is another option, if you don't mind not having any friends. Just make sure you don't accidentally exile all of your own lands, too.

At this Point where the deck is right now, I would cut Thermo-Alchemist, which I like, Nettle Drone Forgeborn Oreads and probably Curse of the Pierced Heart, as well as Basilica Guards ... I see the value in the last both cards in this deck, but I think there are better options to fill there spots.

... here are some creature suggestions:

Vexing Devil

Gibbering Fiend or Grim Lavamancer

Goblin Fireslinger

maybe 1 Scorched Rusalka

Boros Charm !!!!

Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh  Flip

Cunning Sparkmage ??!

Hihi: Devil token could be fun as well like Devils' Playground, Dance with Devils, or Make Mischief... But actually all this spells are expensive... But having one or two copies of Devils' Playground in your deck can be mean with all the Impact Tremors and Panharmonicon.
