Tainted Sigil Discussion
LordTsukune, thank you! This deck is my pride and joy so it's awesome seeing it be appreciated.
If you like that combo then don't sleep on Atherflux Reservoir + Children of Korlis which often is enough to get there for less mana investment. Also Tainted Sigil is in the mail and will be added soon and will be a instant win against 3 opponents as well with the Reservoir (Pay 50, dome one and then gain 100 life from Sigil). Both cards work really well with cards like Necropotence , Fault Line and Treasonous Ogre and just the overall deck strategy.
I also saw that you're cutting Wurmcoil Engine and I can respect that, it's definitely not weak but also nothing crazy in the deck, I'll probably put Bruse, Tarl into the deck instead. If you want more tokens then Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet and Elenda, the Dusk Rose might be nice inclusions.
Hope the deck will treat you well!

Isochron Scepter seems out of place because you only have seven cards it works with. I think Worn Powerstone is too slow, instead I would run some talismans (Talisman of Progress). I would only keep Torpor Orb if you decide to make this deck more control heavy. An Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre to stop mill seems good in place of Commit. I would try to get nonbasic lands so you don't end up mana screwed. Shocks and fetches are ideal but if you don't want to spend that much, life-gain taplands and others should suffice.
Cards I like for this deck:
Austere Command, Vindicate, Killing Wave, Toxic Deluge, Karlov of the Ghost Council, Vona, Butcher of Magan, Kambal, Consul of Allocation, Souls of the Faultless, Drogskol Reaver, Tainted Sigil, Well of Lost Dreams, Venser's Journal, Polluted Bonds, Moat, Sphere of Safety, Bojuka Bog, Glacial Chasm
The deck looks good though, hope it really polishes up!

really nice list youve got here. Seems pretty tight already, but if you had some room, id suggest Tainted Remedy shuts down other life gain decks on sight. Erebos doesn't hurt the opponents just shuts it down. Pairing Tainted Remedy + Beacon of Immortality is hilarious.
also along those lines Tainted Sigil youve got aetherflux reservoir already in there. you would pay 50 life, shoot someone for 50, sac the sigil, gain 100. even a well timed Exsanguinate does amazing with this.

I can tell just by looking at this briefly that this build has been improved over time as it looks very refined. As I am not experienced with this commander, take my comments with a grain of salt as you are more of the expert here.
I wonder if you could make use of more token producers - specifically ones that make at least 3 1/1 creatures at a time in order to use Teysa's first ability on demand if she's the only creature in play. Cards that come to mind include: Sengir Autocrat, Benevolent Offering, Increasing Devotion, Entrapment Maneuver, Spectral Procession, Martial Coup.
I think more card draw effects would be nice. I'm very surprised to not see Mentor of the Meek in here. I would argue that Read the Bones is strictly better than Painful Lesson. But overall I would consider adding a few more, some that come to mind that play well are: Damnable Pact, Skeletal Scrying, Blood Divination, Altar's Reap, Ancient Craving.
I think you could use more mana ramp. Besides mana rocks, you could take advantage of treasures with cards like Pitiless Plunderer.
Not sure if you've thought about focusing on strong cards that care about low CMC. Besides Mentor of the Meek, other cool cards could be added (some would even interact with Teysa): Unearth, Sun Titan, Reveillark, Citywide Bust.
Fun cards that come to mind that you could add:
- Razaketh, the Foulblooded Not a cheap card at around $6, but could be insane in this deck.
- Archfiend of Despair - also around $6 and high cmc, but would be nuts for ending a long game quickly
- Krav, the Unredeemed I know you said you recently traded him, but it could be worth hunting down another cheap non-foil one and run him with Regna, the Redeemer.
- Bontu the Glorified and/or Oketra the True
- Athreos, God of Passage not cheap at $12, but could be useful when you don't have tokens to sacrifice
- Eliminate the Competition - very underestimated IMO
- Black Market I'm usually very picky when it comes to enchantments at 5+ CMC, but maybe this one would be worth it in a long game since it sees tokens dying.
Lastly, a few cards I think could possibility be cut for any of the above (I am often eager to cut high CMC cards btw):
- Treasury Thrull - a good effect I'll admit, but I'm just not thrilled with the 6 CMC. If reviving creatures is your main goal, something like a Hell's Caretaker's effect for less mana might be better.
- Voldaren Pariah Flip - at her cmc with that effect, I think I'd rather run a board wipe instead
- Vizkopa Confessor - looks like a fun card, but I don't like the CMC.
- Profane Command - I don't know that this should be cut, but I'd encourage you to really ask yourself which modes you typically use because you might be able to get a card with the desired mode for less mana. If X spells are a way for you close out the game, you could consider Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire.
- Tamiyo's Journal - looks like a fun card, but idk about the cmc, requires a long game before providing lots of value.
- Tainted Sigil - I've never seen this card before, does it pay off well? I just don't like that people can see it on the board.
Overall, very impression decklist - glad you rebuilt it. Eager to face it next week.

Compared to the sigil, I would say no, because the sigil can scale higher than mercy and doesn't have a drawback for playing it (other than how specific the effect is). In addition to this, the main reason one might use Oketra's mercy, I imagine, is either from wanting to stabilize in a dragged out game, or to combo off with life gain doublers.
And that last part also points towards the sorcery not actually being good for your deck (thus proving my own suggestion bad). Your 3-color build has access to more powerful life gain combos than just doubling the life you gain, and resetting your life total as a means of gaining life isn't as impactful then with the other cards you have access to.
In short, your deck is already the type to play Tainted Sigil since you sacrifice your own health so freely, but Oketra's Last Mercy is better for decks that simply play aggressive and need a shot of adrenaline to stay in the game. And so saying, if you want to cut at the top end of your curve, you probably should drop Resolute Archangel (unless it has been performing well of course).

ReaperDrek Agreed on the armor but Gisela costs so much. the CMC of this deck is already to high.
TheKing8426 Thanks for letting me know about Necropotance. I was probably thinking of using it before playing the lich but it doesnt combo, you are correct.
TheRedGoatYou are correct about the Hekma, Urza's armor is back in. As for life restore, I usually switch totals with my opponents. But another restore card wouldnt hurt. That way if I have to Ad Nauseam, Worship or Stunning Reversal then it would be easier to bounce back from. Do you think Oketra's Last Mercy would be better than Tainted Sigil?
