Crown of Convergence

Artifact

Play with the top card of your library revealed.

As long as the top card of your library is a creature card, creatures you control that share a color with that card get +1/+1.

(Green)(White): Put the top card of your library on the bottom of your library.

As far as the land matter goes, I would always suggest switching out tap lands when possible. The mana fixing of many of these lands are convenient, but as an aggro deck you need speed more. With that being said I'll offer these suggestions in line with your thoughts and other thoughts I have in general (keeping budget in mind).

  1. Switching frondland to loxodon heirarch is a change, I can totally get behind. Side note: kaheera doesn't work with some of your currently listed creatures (assuming you intended it as a companion).

  2. Given the choices you listed, birds of paradise would be your best choice. It not only gives you something to do on your first turn, helping you be faster, but the evasion can be real handy for flying over potential blockers when enchanted/equipped.

  3. I don't personally like the idea of working in another shield of the oversoul. If anything consider something like All That Glitters or Daybreak Coronet.

What's next are my personal ideas/suggestions:

  1. Remove the fog effects (fog and ethereal haze specifically): As a creature based deck, these do not progress your plan in any way. I would make an exception for the dawn charm on the reasoning that it can protect your creatures. But even then I would drop 1-2 copies on that as well.

  2. Remove cultivate: Ramp spells are most useful during the early game to allow more powerful spells to be played before their normally intended turn. Casting an early cultivate will use all your mana for a turn slowing you down. The mana upside really isn't something you can make use of since your curve essentially stops at 4.

  3. Ephemerate: I'm not totally sold on this because you could lose any enchantments you have attached to a creature. Not to mention, you really don't have any game changing enter the battlefield abilities to take advantage of this. If you were running something like Skyclave Apparition, it would be a different story (not budget, I know). I suppose keeping a creature alive is good, but it also doesn't progress your plan of attacking or developing your board. Maybe drop this to a couple copies or all together is my suggestion.

Things you could add in place of the above.

  1. Savannah Lions: Has good stats for 1 mana and has synergy with kaheena. Would recommend the full 4.

  2. Aegis of the Gods: Not as good stat wise for 2 mana, but could be a functional creature depending on your meta. (Probably better in the sideboard)

  3. Oversoul of Dusk: This can dodge many of the commonly played removal spells in the format and is a solid creature to boot. Maybe 2-3 copies total, just because it is 5 mana.

  4. Crown of Convergence: Power boost for your creatures and can help keep your deck drawing useful cards instead of things like land #8.

  5. Unbreakable Formation: I don't think this needs explaining.

These are my thoughts for now and I look forward to your decks evolution from here. But remember above all, its your deck and have fun with it however you choose.

Hello! :)

It's always nice to see fresh ideas and Gishath always excites me!

While I appreciate the idea of jamming every dinosaur you have in the deck, I would include some ways of manipulating the top of the deck, as well as more ways to protect the commander. This should be at the expense of some of the more lacklustre creatures.

In addition to that, I would look to improve the deck's mana acceleration and card draw.

Without any further info concerning budget, your meta, and more importantly what is your vision for the deck I can't make a lot of suggestions, but here are a couple that are very budget friendly and can be very good in the deck!

Suggestions: Cream of the Crop, Congregation at Dawn, Crown of Convergence, Hua Tuo, Honored Physician, Gods Willing, Redeem the Lost, Sheltering Light and others like them.

This is a very nice deck with lots of potential! Good job!

As such, Crown of Convergence doesn't need you to add in more colors. You have a bunch of scry effects, so determining what is on top of your library shouldn't be much of a problem. A couple more creatures to just give you more of a value-game (and less synergy with relatively weak scryers): Master of Waves and Grand Architect.

Oh, and you should move Spreading Seas to mainboard. It replaces itself anyway, and is good against all kinds of tron and 3-color decks, as well as random man-lands. Speaking of man-lands: How about playing Faerie Conclave? Just a single copy (since etb-tapped is a problem if there's too much of it)... And Halimar Depths could be a pretty decent utility card with Conundrum Sphinx.

@seshiro_of_the_orochi i like the card interaction with Commit / Memory! thats kinda neat.

@xyr0s Kira, Great Glass-Spinner and Nimble Obstructionist seem like some nice additions in here! Really like the protection and devotion that glass spinner brings to this deck in particular...Your very right with everything you said honestly. This deck is far from being competitive but im still aiming for functional and at least capable of winning casual games... playtesting is pretty mixed so far (against decks on my profile page)... sometimes this deck works surprisingly well; and other times I just spend the first 5 turns scrambling to find/get Conundrum Sphinx out and by then its just too late.... splashing just green for Courser of Kruphix is tempting.... or even bant with Crown of Convergence...its definitely worth thinking about... but my main complaint is dealing with the mana base; because i own these cards already and really dont want to break up my mana base for my simic/bant decks.

You could play bant control or midrange for access to Crown of Convergence, Mul Daya Channelers and Courser of Kruphix (i really really like this idea, i might brew a list tomorrow)

In spite of having more effect, Oracle of Mul Daya is not as good as Courser of Kruphix. It has a lot smaller body (dies to Lightning Bolt) and higher casting cost (can't be cascaded by Bloodbraid Elf).

I'm not really believing in mana dorks either - imagine cascading for something with impact, and coming up with Elvish Mystic. Not really what you'd want. Noble Hierarch at least has the exalted ability going for it, but its mana is off-color. Also, it has a pretty heavy pricetag, more than most fetch or shock lands.

Groundbreaker and Ball Lightning are probably really good in this deck. Perhaps Atarka's Command too, although it interacts poorly with cascade (it would resolve before your bloodbraid elf).

I don't think there's any reasonable way to get to play your top-library card for free. But just to get more card advantage, you could perhaps play Dire Fleet Daredevil - a lot of match-ups could really turn around on that one. In others it would probably be rather irrelevant and just wait to be boarded out.

I don't think you should play a passive card like Crown of Convergence; a scenario with plenty of creatures on your side, working magic on your topdeck is nice, but drawing it and playing it on an empty table is bad.

Lands: I forgot a couple of useful lands. Kessig Wolf Run and Treetop Village.

I also feel Oracle of Mul Daya would be great for that deck as well. Crown of Convergence and some mana chumps like Noble Hierarch or Birds of Paradise

Maybe Garruk's Horde, Mul Daya Channelers
