Creature — Sphinx
Goliath Sphinx Discussion

i know its a casual deck but you have way too high of mana cost in everything, for one Dark Depths is not meant in this kind of deck if you dont have a way to cheat his counters or have the mana to take them out, as well as Sigil of the Empty Throne you dont have enough enchantments, might as well take them all out. Tempest Djinn, Angel of Jubilation, Yosei, the Morning Star, Exquisite Archangel, Goliath Sphinx, Ornithopter, Rustwing Falcon, Serra Ascendant, Azorius First-Wing, Resplendent Angel are either to expensive, you dont have a reliable source to use they'r abilities or are simply underwhelming. for lowering the mana cost i suggest Warden of Evos Isle. you can replace Serra Aviary for Favorable Winds, for counters Spellstutter Sprite, Nimble Obstructionist, Spell Queller,Siren Stormtamer and probably not very good if its not a fast pace deck (storm) Erayo, Soratami Ascendant. Hope of Ghirapur and Selfless Spirit are good protection, Vendilion Clique and Gilded Drake some good control. Palace Familiar, Owl Familiar net you some card draw and Illusory Angel, Sky Spirit seem ok. i didnt go in to much noncreature spells and i lck sleep so i hope i was helpful.

@kamelyan Thanks i shall look at that

I would cut Chancellor of the Spires. If you keep it in your opening hand to use its ability, you may end up enabling Muldrotha, Meren, and other recursion players, and you'd be stuck with a seven-drop in your opening hand. If you draw it later in the game, you'd have a diluted Diluvian Primordial.
Goliath Sphinx is too vanilla.

With the changes to the planeswalker rule, Kiora, Master of the Depths would probably be a nice include. Without knowing how much you would be willing to toss at the deck tips are kind of tricky, but instead of the focus being get out leviathan (that's what Quest for Ula's Temple is for), you may have more luck running big blue and green creatures. Things like Goliath Sphinx Garruk's Horde Pelakka Wurm Sphinx of Magosi and then mana dorks Elvish Mystic Sylvan Caryatid Voyaging Satyr. Even creatures like Borderland Ranger and Farhaven Elf that just get the mana for you quickly. Post a little more of what you are looking to do and I am sure you can get some good advice, also make sure you put about how much you can spend total/per card so thay way people don't suggest Emrakul, the Aeons Torn when it is too expensive.

Eladamri's Call and Cromat have never been reprinted, so I would like to see them reprinted in this set, and Worldly Tutor also should be here, as well, since it was left out of Eternal Masters in favor of Green Sun's Zenith.
As for iconic creatures, my predictions are as follows:
Angels: it is very safe to presume that both Serra Angel and Akroma, Angel of Wrath shall be in this set, hopefully, with new artwork for both, and I also would like to see Angelic Arbiter, Shepherd of the Lost, Angel of Jubilation, Pristine Angel, Iridescent Angel, Crypt Angel, Desolation Angel, Angel of Despair, Empyrial Archangel, and Archangel of Thune.
Demons: Lord of the Pit is one of the most iconic demons in the game, but some other excellent choices are Abyssal Persecutor, Archfiend of Depravity, Bloodgift Demon, Butcher of the Horde, Grinning Demon, Havoc Demon, Herald of Torment, Kagemaro, First to Suffer, Kuro, Pitlord, Lord of the Void, and Xathrid Demon.
Sphinxes: it was not until recently that sphinxes started to become powerful and efficient, but, thankfully, there ave been a number of excellent sphinxes made, recently, including Consecrated Sphinx, Conundrum Sphinx, Goliath Sphinx, Guardian of Tazeem, Medomai the Ageless, Sharuum the Hegemon, Sphinx of Jwar Isle, Sphinx of Magosi, Sphinx of the Steel Wind, and Sphinx of Uthuun.
Hydras: as with sphinxes, hydras only recently have been well-designed creatures, so some hydras that I would like to see in this set are Apocalypse Hydra, Domesticated Hydra, Genesis Hydra, Hydra Broodmaster, Hydra Omnivore, Kalonian Hydra, Khalni Hydra, Managorger Hydra, Primordial Hydra, Savageborn Hydra, Ulasht, the Hate Seed, and Vastwood Hydra.
Dragons: there are too many dragons for me too list all of them, but it is safe to presume that Shivan Dragon shall be in this set, hopefully with new artwork, and some of my top choices are Moonveil Dragon, Balefire Dragon, Dragon Tyrant, Ebon Dragon, Mirrorwing Dragon, Moltensteel Dragon, Scourge of Valkas, Stormbreath Dragon, Two-Headed Dragon, Utvara Hellkite, Vampiric Dragon, Viashivan Dragon, and Hellkite Overlord.
Wow, I certainly typed many card names in this post: I hope that I did not miss any.

Damn you! That looks like it would fit in perfect. If you would have commented like 10 minutes earlier I could have added him to my cart. I just placed an order before I checked this comment. I'll see if the shop has some this weekend.
What would you recommend taking out? A few people have mentioned replacing Goliath Sphinx since he doesn't have any of the effects/abilities the other creatures have. But bringing out an 8/7 flier just feels badass!

Cool! Automatic +1, this is neat
To keep with the common theme of transforming your creatures with spells, I would replace Goliath Sphinx with Thing in the Ice Flip. To trigger your other instant/sorcery creatures, I would replace Glimmer of Genius with a cheaper Gitaxian Probe or maybe Serum Visions. Cancel can be replaced with Dissolve, Void Shatter or Dissipate just for more versatility.
So for sideboard, you want to think about the types of decks you could be playing and build against them. Flashfreeze is great agaisnt red or green, and Elixir of Immortality and/or Laboratory Maniac are both good against Mill. Tormod's Crypt shuts down graveyard focused decks, and Gainsay is nice if you come accross another mono blue. Annul is also a possibility for artifact decks. Hope this helps!

I would be dumb not to take such a great suggestion! Doorkeeper and Fogwalker were only in for defense so I could have something to protect my life while I sit back and counter everything! What better defense then a creature that doesn't take combat damage?
I'm gonna drop Mistfire Adept and Riverwheel Aerialists and add an extra of both Multiform Wonder and Aethersquall Ancient. Man they make an awesome combo! 3 7 drops might make the curve to steep but I don't really wanna drop my Goliath Sphinx. I don't think I'll have any problems though because I have so many other cheap creatures!
And I appreciate the suggestions more then you know! I didn't know those card existed until you told me!
I mainly focus on black, red, and white. Blue is fun to play though. People get so aggravated when they can do absolutely nothing!
