Brace for Impact

Magewright's Stone

Evolution Charm

Seal of Primordium

Mystic Speculation

Veilstone Amulet

Possibles:

Blinding Powder…if the guy holding it is trying to blind himself XD

Exile into Darkness is reminiscent of Cage of Hands. Right perspective, hands coming from off screen, but they’re disembodied.

Clinging Darkness see above.

Hex seems like it isn’t FPP, but if you’ve ever toiled away painting/organizing miniatures, sometimes you’ll stoop down to check things and get this very perspective.

Spectral Searchlight odd angle, but possible.

Haunting Hymn this one’s tough. If you take the whispy tendril thingies to be limbs, then this potentially qualifies. If it’s supposed to be smoke or vapors, then no. I don’t know anything about the lore/backstory of this card to know what’s going on here.

Almost certainly not:

Shuko check the thumbs. It’s not FPP

Umezawa's Jitte see above

Fury Charm almost certainly not FPP, unlike the other charm.

and of course pocket sand: Blinding Powder

All good card you added. Got some recommendations but consider making sure your deck follows this formula: 10ish ramp cards 10ish card draw cards 4 spot removal cards 4 boardwipes

Polaris on Who controls equipment abilities?

"You" always applies to the controller of the Equipment, and the controller is the one who activates the Equipment's abilities.

UNLESS

The ability is given to the creature. For example, Blinding Powder and Ceremonial Knife both give an activated or triggered ability to the equipped creature, meaning the creature is the source of the ability, and the controller of the creature uses it/gets the benefit. Your Blinding Powder attached to an opponent's creature will let them unattach it to prevent the damage. For these effects, look for this wording: Equipped creature has "this ability."

Dralnu seems really risky to run as a commander. One Blasphemous Act and you're pretty much out of the game.

So let's protect him!

Magebane Armor, Blinding Powder, Shield of the Avatar, Soratami Cloud Chariot maybe?

If not, some emergency sac outlets may help. Ashnod's Altar, High Market etc...

Further, I think the deck could use a greater mass of instants and sorceries. Maybe up it from 25% of the deck to 33%, cutting some creatures and enchantments.

From the maybeboard, Secrets of the Dead, Nephalia Drownyard, Cyclonic Rift, Ancient Excavation, and Rise from the Tides all seem pretty good.

If you go really heavy into the self mill aspect, some creature recursion might be nice. Raise Dead, Fortuitous Find, Dread Return...

Good luck! +1 for risky commanders!

Ga, as seguintes cartas eu aconselho a tirar: Akki Drillmaster - Voce nao tem bichao pra dar impeto; Akki Raider - Voce nao destroi lands;Akki Underling - Seu deck e rapido, nunca vai ter sete ou mais cartas na mao; Orochi Sustainer e Sakura-Tribe Scout - Voce nao precisa gerar muita mana num deck rapido; Soratami Cloud Chariot - Muito caro, foge da estrategia e o efeito e meio bosta; Kumano's Blessing, Lifegift e Seed the Land - horrvel; Blinding Powder - Nao faz sentido com o deck (voce quer matar rapido, nao controlar);NO SIDE: Dense Canopy e Sunder from Within - perfeito, os outros 3 - horrivel;

I'd started working on a variant of this without the puresteel's for budget reasons and they're just too necessary. Still, I think Sigarda's Aid is a boon for when you would end up drawing over hand limit which I noticed happening a lot. Just wait to finish out one or two equip drops and unload them during opponent turns when the 7 card limit is not a factor. I was also consistently mana flooded with 17 in this style deck, so I dropped to 15, breaking a few of my core rules for deck building, but with so many 0 drops and such a low curve and massive draw it's not an issue that I've seen.

I replaced the paradise mantles for Kite Shields and the Bonesplitters for Blinding Powders which when you can flash them in are amazing salvation drops that can also then surprise boost other creatures via puresteel/edificer draws, and I don't need the extra land.

The biggest thing I noticed is how badly this fails against chump blockers and weenies. A 2 add either in main or sideboard of Dragon Throne of Tarkir fixes that completely, and better than o-naginata, and throws hundreds of damage downfield fairly consistently. My friends and I play a lot of multiplayer so that's handy enough for me to keep main not side. Seriously though... the throne on a kor token with all of the cranial platings and most other things on an armament master (1 each of accorder's shield on your double strikers and flyers obviously) is absotively brutal... then just move the platings back in your second main phase.

My original build's numbers were fairly different and less consistent but yours curved out so much better that I modified mine to nearly match with a few fairly minor differences. Hope you don't mind but sent an upvote your way as payment. Cheers

babydaggers, that's a great idea! I'll replace Angelheart Vial for that. As much as I love Angelheart Vial for the theme, art and potential card draw, it has not been as useful as I would wish for a drop card. Sun Titan will definitely be a card worth having.

I've had a ton of fun so far playing this deck. Another change I am going to make is replacing Blinding Powder with Skullclamp. Blinding Powder has just not been reliable. Staying the Monarch is a huge game-changer, so being a bit more aggressive with Skullclamp should help keep it that way.
