Introducing Cumly Cube 1.4! Two months ago, Cumly Cube was updated to Cumly Cube 1.3, which was touted as balanced and without any notable flaws. There is no more insidious poison than hubris! Many cards remained that were too strong, or close to unplayable. Many archetypes existed in the cube but had too little support to ever be worth drafting. Many cards failed to fit the ethos of Cumly Cube. With 89 more cuts and adds, I am now pleased to announce that, this time, Cumly Cube has reached a final form! Perhaps a few cards are still too strong, too weak, or out of place, but the vast majority of the draft pool is now in an acceptable state. Any further changes to Cumly Cube 1 will exist as minor updates, swapping out only a few cards at a time. This means that there will never be a Cumly Cube 1.5, only 1.4.1, 1.4.2, etc.

Introducing Cumly Cube 1.2! 12 months ago, Cumly Cube was updated to Cumly Cube 1.1, offering many needed changes to the card pool. While this fixed some glaring errors, other faults in the cube remained, and a year of careful consideration has hopefully identified all of them. For Cumly Cube's 1.1's 1-year anniversary, I have chosen to make some changes. These changes serve a few functions:

One of them is to smooth the power level of cards in the pool. There should be very few slam-dunk picks or unplayable cards.

Another is to remove the snow card type from the pool. This makes it so players only have the option of including regular basic lands in their deck, increasing accessibility and ease for drafting.

A third is to balance the level of aggression in strategies. It was identified that playing strong, expensive creatures was a dominant strategy in Cumly Cube 1.1, since there was not enough support for aggressive decks to go under this strategy. While aggressive decks are still not supported heavily, a few changes in the card pool have hopefully shifted the meta to a point in which tempo will be an important dynamic in most matchups.

A fourth and final change is in the creature types. All creatures now belong to a supported creature type, and all non-creature cards that produce creature tokens produce tokens that belong to a supported creature type as well, meaning that tribal synergies are going to be emphasized in Cumly Cube 1.2, as was an original goal of this Cumly cube.

One more thing to note is an important change to the rules. Rule 907 has been removed. Players can no longer use this rule to conjure a basic land of any type into their hand, increasing a need for disciplined drafting. While this rule allowed players to play more ambitious decks, it removed the use for Banners, Lockets, and other methods of fixing mana. Ambitious decks are still possible in Cumly Cube 1.2, they just require some extra effort to draft.

any deck with graveyard hate Rest in Peace , Grafdigger's Cage , Scavenging Ooze will give you problems. Death's Shadow decks might also give you a problem since they can easily outgrow your damage spells but that makes them very vulnerable to just damage spells to face.

Leyline of Sanctity will slow you down. Eldrazi decks have some big dudes on turn 2/3 that dont die to bolt.

your deck might be to slow to fight tron decks, you need a good aggro creature on one turn 1 or 2.Monastery Swiftspear or Kiln Fiend can help with that but they need evasion to be successful. With only a few creatures in your deck a planeswalker like Liliana of the Veil or Gideon Jura might be hard to remove if not dealt with fast enough. the new Cryptic Serpent might also be very good for his price, same with Bedlam Reveler

couple more things to try and add Serum Visions, Slip Through Space if you decide to add more creatures that dont have flying. Spell Pierce instead of mana leak might be good aswell. Schismotivate should be replaced by Assault Strobe in the main slot. Rift Bolt is less effective with Pyromancer Ascension than Lava Spike since you dont have to wait a turn for it to hit if suspended and casting it for 3 to copy it once is helpful.

Sweet deck! I didn't realize how interesting Yasova was to me until I started thinking of ways to use her ability better.

I see you have Willbreaker, letting you keep the creatures you temporarily steal. Some other options for keeping these creatures past the end of the turn could be Conjurer's Closet, Deadeye Navigator, Synod Sanctum, Cold Storage, Nephalia Smuggler, and Ghostly Flicker, which all return creatures back under your control without you having to return them to their owners.

You could also use Hellkite Charger, Breath of Fury, or World at War to trigger Yasova's ability multiple times per turn.

With Glaring Spotlight, you can steal your opponents' creatures that have hexproof. To steal your opponents' noncreature artifacts, try turning them into creatures with options like Toymaker and Titania's Song, and to steal your opponents' noncreature lands, try turning them into creatures with Lifespark Spellbomb or Quirion Druid.

Land suggestions include Command Tower, Frontier Bivouac, Rootbound Crag, Opal Palace, Lumbering Falls, Temple of Abandon, Temple of Mystery, Vivid Crag, Vivid Creek, and Vivid Grove.

If you don't want to give the creatures back after you've stolen them, you can use sacrifice effect cards to get rid of them for profit. Some powerful sacrifice engines include Ashnod's Altar, Culling Dais, Barrin, Master Wizard, Bloodshot Cyclops, Jalira, Master Polymorphist, Profaner of the Dead, Scourge of Skola Vale, Evolutionary Leap, Goblin Bombardment, Perilous Forays, Shivan Harvest, Momentous Fall, High Market, Life's Legacy, and Primal Growth.
