If you want more of a buff voltron Lathril maybe switch out Incubation Druid and Heedless One for Immaculate Magistrate and Timberwatch Elf Those guys also can go off twice per turn with Copperhorn Scout

Crown of Skemfar Eldrazi Conscription and Bear Umbra are always good too if you're looking to take out beaters and focus on Lathril's abilities

There are a few cards making very little sense to me:

  1. Primal Amulet - Right now you're running 4 instants & sorceries.

  2. Library of Leng - Are you drawing that much? Is your meta that full of discard? Reliquary Tower would be a better fit unless your meta is really heavy on discard.

  3. Grinding Station - You're playing few artifacts. I think I counted 13. Might be wrong though. Still, most of those artifacts are stuff you don't want to sac.

  4. Tower Above + Bequeathal - Your commander gives shroud to most of your creatures. You don't want to target them 99.9% of the time. Considering your commander and the fact that people will try to get rid of it asap I might go with Myth Unbound.

  5. Most of the lands coming into play tapped. Most of them are subpar.

  6. Adaptive Automaton - Elves have more than enough lords. No need for a non-green creature.

  7. Allosaurus Rider - Although I'm not against this card per se, I think you'll need to play more stuff to make it work. Blighted Woodland and Myriad Landscape + Kodama's Reach and whichever other mana ramp you can add to the deck.

  8. Beast of Burden - There are elves that do this. Heedless One, Jagged-Scar Archers and Drove of Elves (which you're playing) are elves and they get shroud from the commander. The 1st has trample, the 2nd kills fliers and the 3rd has hexproof which is good when your commander is out.

  9. Bloom Tender - This card belongs in multicolored decks. Preferably 3 or more colors. You have several elves that tap for G, costing 1 cmc. At 2 cmc you'll prefer Priest of Titania.

  10. Fangren Marauder - High CMC, triggers on artifacts destroyed only and does something that comes natural to elves: lifegain. Wellwisher is way better.

  11. Llanowar Mentor - You're not playing madness, I don't see anything to abuse cards from your grave... Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury is way better.

  12. Mishra's Self-Replicator - Feeds Grinding Station, I know. Still, not that good, I believe.

  13. Scattershot Archer - Unless you're seeing lots of x/1 fliers on your meta, this is pointless. Hurricane, Tornado Elemental, Whirlwind and so many other cards are better.

  14. Shaman of Spring - Masked Admirers does the same, has the same cmc and is repeatable.

  15. Silhana Wayfinder - I'd prefer Wood Elves.

  16. Spire Tracer - Meh.

  17. Weatherseed Elf - Might work if you find a way of turning your non-green opponents lands into forests. My fav way is Deepwood Elder.

Some cards you might consider:

  1. Caller of the Claw and Fresh Meat- Anti-mass removal!

  2. Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen, Elvish Champion, Imperious Perfect, Joraga Warcaller, Elvish Clancaller, Canopy Tactician and Elvish Warmaster - Elf lords for all kind of tastes.

  3. Glissa Sunseeker and Nullmage Shepherd - Artifact and enchantment removal.

  4. Lys Alana Huntmaster - Token generation. Self explanatory, I believe.

  5. Marwyn, the Nurturer - Mana acceleration.

  6. Wolf-Skull Shaman - Card advantage. Works quite well with Sylvan Library.

I've been trying to find the right balance in my Lathril build as well.

Cards I think are cuttable here: Just Beaters - You are looking to flood the board with elves and pump up Lathril to make more elves. Traditional beater type creatures don't do much for you here so you can probably lose cards like Heedless One , Abomination of Llanowar and Elvish Vanguard . These cards don't do anything for you other than get big and swing which is counter productive to you strat.

Big Mana Producers - You want to flood the board early and elves in general don't have high CMC so you can probably lose some of the higher cmc mana dorks like Wirewood Channeler , Selvala, Heart of the Wilds , Joraga Treespeaker and Incubation Druid .

Other - Unless you plan on a lifegain subtheme you can cut Nissa Revane . I can't run Coat of Arms in my group because there are a lot of other tribal decks that also benefit from it. Higher mana elves like Eyeblight Cullers and Exquisite Huntmaster and Nath of the Gilt-Leaf are all cards I would consider cutting to bring down the average CMC.

Obviously just my opinions, I don't know if you have pet cards or what your plaugroup looks like just thought I could share my line of thinking!

Other Forests and Dryads you control have hexproof.

G, TAP: Create a 1/1 green Dryad with forest walk.

Same challenge or create a card like Nameless One , Heedless One , etc. but for a creature type that doesn’t have one.

Hey, I appreciate the inputs!

  • I agree with Staff of Domination as it is used in quite a few combo decks, but it's a fairly expensive buy so I imagine it'll be a while before this deck sees any of them.

  • Krosan Grip is a good call, I'll likely sideboard them to swap out in case Split Second becomes required, but I think I'll leave Naturalize in for now since even 1 less mana allows for it to be more viable early-game before most of my key elves are in play

  • I agree with the Alpha Status assessment for sure, and mostly so on Heedless One as well. Tribal Unity has proved to be a decent finisher given the amount of mana the deck can crank out.

  • I'm already using Green Sun's Zenith on my Sideboard, and Concordant Crossroads would be killer, but along the same lines as Staff of Domination, the main constraint is my budget.

  • 4x Wellwisher is almost certainly overkill, almost by design with all of the 'elf count' cards I use. Currently my chief defense early-on is just to eat all attack damage to save/protect elves until the deck can really explode. Generally, this only occurs for 1-2 turns, but ensuring I have at least one of these guys out has been a real crutch. I agree though that after a certain point it becomes almost moot. Still, should I need extra cards to drop, 1 or 2 of these could probably stand to go depending on what I get to replace them.

I've been looking at making some changes to this deck, so you've definitely given me some thinking points. It looks like I'm reaching a point where the only way to improve on the deck is to start dropping significant cash on it, and while that's not completely restrictive to me, it definitely will definitely add quite a bit of time onto how long it'll take to acquire everything. (A general browse indicates I'll likely even need to shop multiple sites on some of the pricier/higher demand ones; most sites only have 1-2 copies in stock without getting into the realm of foils and such on things like Staff of Domination and Concordant Crossroads.)

Hi, i am returning the favor of commenting each others deck.

I would prefer Staff of Domination in this deck. you have tons of mana, and after you have Elvish Archdruid or Priest of Titania and it gives 5 mana, you got infinite mana, life, cards with it.

Since the mana isn't issue i would change Naturalize to Krosan Grip because of the split second.

I don't see much use of Alpha Status or Heedless One Tribal Unity . I would use Joraga Warcaller . Also 4 Wellwisher is kinda overkill?

Have you considered combo Nettle Sentinel with Heritage Druid ? if you got 2 sentinels in battle field and at least one heritage druid, whenever you play 1 elf you can untap sentinels and tap em and that one more elf to 3 mana.

Also cards to consider would be Summoner's Pact and Green Sun's Zenith to find elf's you need Concordant Crossroads Regal Force for cards and Scavenging Ooze against animators

I think that cards like Caller of the Hunt, Drove of Elves and Heedless One are average when you are winning, but bad when you are rebuilding your army after a wrath effect, for example. That's why i'm not including them. But Cryptolith Rite is a card to consider, thanks!
