Description

I set out to create a cube which reflects the things I love about limited Magic. First and foremost, I love complex board states, cards with lots of words, and mixing many mechanics.

The cube features a large multicolored theme with a number of cards from each two-color pair or guild. I have tried to give each guild a distinct mechanical gameplan. There should be an even number of spells for each guild, though that can include gold spells, hybrids, and spells with off-color flashback or related abilities (ex. Lingering Souls, Kird Ape).

There is also a package of 5-color spells which have allowed a few brave drafters to run some insane decks.

There is only one tribe represented with synergistic cards: slivers. They run across all five colors, are aggressive, and can be drafted as a solid sideboard card against other slivers (note, get a Plague Sliver, too).

Also included are 10 cards unique to the Conspiracy set. What else was I going to do with them? The artifact creatures are effective, fun, and uncontroversial, but some of the conspiracies (Power Play) might be too good.

As a long-term goal, I'd like to include a single card from every unique set (to include the Portal sets or not?). I might go easy on myself at first and allow reprints to count for whatever set I want, but I'd like to perhaps collect a few originals.

I mentioned I want complicated. I want lots of mechanics!
