Things are about to start getting fun. Some of the changes, new and upcoming:

Some ramp upgrade:
Birds of Paradise for lesser mana dork, Pyramid of the Pantheon for Mana Geode - better synergy with this commander since the mana generated on the 1st 3 turns are virtually free.

Creatures out Sharktocrab and Shambleshark Way to many sharks ... if no one likes shark, why the heck do those smelly sons of bitches get their own week??? Apex Altisaur, Protean Hulk and Meteor Golem in (just to name few)

Set to arrive in the next couple weeks are some from my MTGA brawl deck that have very nice synergy Kogla, the Titan Ape Tanazir Quandrix Volo, Guide to Monsters along with some more supprises!

Let's see how it will all come together!

Hm. I choose.......Shambleshark!

Captain Shamble

Legendary Creature - Pirate Fish Crab

At the beginning of combat, you may phase out ~. If you do, whenever ~ phases in, gain control of target creature an opponent controls. It becomes a Pirate and Mutant in addition to its types.

At the beginning of your end step, if you do not control a permanent an opponent owns, until your next upkeep, ~ becomes a land named “The Black Opal”, and has : add to your mana pool.

Mutate

I like the idea.

There is an interesting option for this list- Dictate of Kruphix / Faerie Vandal . Howling mine decks were a thing with a similar 'disrupt while you kill them' engine a long while ago.

Mizzium Meddler is an interesting sideboard tech if boggles style enchantments or hammer gets popular. Shambleshark is cute but rarely effective. Vile Redeemer is an interesting answer to wipes.

Good luck with the brew.

Ziusdra on Budget sulty counter bois (needs advice)

I love it, but I think Slitherhead is too slow. Vulturous Zombie could really help you ramp the +1 counters, especially against opponents that run sacrifice engines. You should also replace a forest with a Llanowar Reborn for the free +1/+1 counter on a creature (this counter can get doubled too if you proliferate, which gets you more mileage by throwing free +1s on creatures entering the battlefield). Consider also Forced Adaptation , which is slow but imagine the combination of having it on Fathom Mage or Sharktocrab , Mutant's Prey makes good removal, and Savage Summoning if you're playing against a lot of blue. (I like these better than Villainous Wealth .) I would also put Nimbus Swimmer and Shambleshark into your maybeboard, play test with them, but I don't feel confident enough to say definitely mainboard them. They might be good, so I just thought to mention them. (Evolve is just so good) These are just my thoughts. I like it overall! GLHF

Not completely sure about Shambleshark , as it's usually just a 2/1 for UG. I would also think Frilled Mystic would fit right into this deck, and maybe even Rashmi, Eternities Crafter . I'm more of a commander guy, though, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

I think if your game plan is to overwhelm, as soon as you're playing Fog you losing. Your goal is to overwhelm with creatures so Lead the Stampede Should help you draw into them, and then Elvish Visionary and Sea Gate Oracle both draw you into more creatures. I don't think flash does anything for you so I might drop Shambleshark to just make stuff 4 ofs. I'm sure there's more counter shenanigans you can pull but I don't know what they are.

You might want to add straight cantrips like Brainstorm with Shuffle effects like Evolving Wilds or Ash Barrens. But It might just distract from overwhelming with creatures.
