Maybeboard

Gameplan

My goal with this deck is incremental table mill of the opponents to fill their graveyards for The Scarab God fuel. I went for mill cards that didn't mill too much at any given time to not draw too much hate. Things that mill from 1-5 at a time roughly. Then there are a couple explosive mill cards Fractured Sanity and a kicked Maddening Cacophony to finish off opponents late in the game.

Otherwise, I'm controlling the board with interaction to help me survive until mid-to-late game where The Scarab God will shine best. These cards will mainly be used for protection against me but can be used in other circumstances as well.

There are a couple combos here that may or may not induce salt but I wanted something that could end the game if I happen to have the pieces but I wouldn't necessarily be tutoring for or working towards these as my preferred Win Con would be The Scarab God value.

Win Con

Main one is The The Scarab God shenanigans. Secondary would be Rise of the Dark Realms . The other combos I would try to avoid tutoring for unless the game needs to end. I would like to draw into these combos rather than try to get them every game to keep things fresh and exciting rather than repetitive.

Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank + Bontu the Glorified / Crypt Ghast

If you activate Duskmantle Guildmage's first ability and then second ability when you have a Mindcrank out, they will put all the cards from their library into their graveyard and lose that much life. Alternatively, you only need to activate Duskmantle Guildmage 's first ability if you start the Mindcrank engine by using Bontu the Glorified or Crypt Ghast to induce life loss.

Altar of the Brood + Undead Alchemist + Altar of Dementia

Endless mill combo + Token creation. Have Altar of the Brood out, then cast Undead Alchemist to trigger brood and then hopefully it will keep on going. It will make many tokens if it does not mill out completely but using Altar of Dementia in addition to this can keep things moving forward. This would be more or less a last resort type combo as the exiling from Undead Alchemist opposes The Scarab God synergies.

Notion Thief + Windfall

Mystic Redaction + Windfall

Everyone discards their hand and draws an amount equal to the highest amount discarded. With Notion Thief this prevents them from drawing, leaving them with an empty hand. Even better, with Notion Thief you're drawing even more. Also having Mystic Redaction out would cause everyone to mill equal to my hand size so this interaction could be nice as well.

Edit: Notion Thief also works great with Geier Reach Sanitarium to draw 4, everyone discards 1, and no one gets to draw but me.
