If I have Lutri, the Spellchaser on the battlefield and I play Mystic Reflection into Forbidden Friendship, Is Forbidden Friendship still on the stack when the token enters the battlefield as a copy of lutri and can I copy the friendship?

Necrosis24 is correct - the first time the Rattlechains enters it enters as a copy of Felidar Guardian, however the subesquent times it enters it is unafected by Mystic Reflection (since its effect has already resolved).

You can make this work by alternating between Felidar Guardian and Restoration Angel instead.

If I’m understanding ur set up correctly this does not go infinite. Mystic Reflection states “the next time” so not until the end of turn just the next instance. So what would happen is:

  1. You target Felidar Guardian with Mystic Reflection.
  2. Cast Rattlechains or any other creature and it will enter as a copy of Felidar Guardian.
  3. You target Felidar Guardian with the copy then when it enters the battlefield again you target the copy of Felidar Guardian
  4. When the copy enters the battlefield again it would enter as Rattlechains

So you exiled the original and the copy once each which nets you two tokens. Many other ways you can go infinite.

I was talking with some friends about a possible infinite loop with Ranar to create infinite spirit tokens. So the combo starts by having Ranar the Ever-Watchful and Felidar Guardian on the field. You then play Mystic Reflection and target your Felidar. After it resolves you flash in Rattlechains and then target felidar guardian. One friend this is NOT infinite and would only net you 2-3 tokens max. The other says that because Felidar and rattlechains are doing this back and forth and repeatedly triggering stack triggers it WOULD go infinite. What do you guys think?

Heraldic Banner is a boss card in budget Talrand, as are Hands of Binding Hidden Strings and Stolen Identity. Ciphering is amazing in Talrand, and the cards are really budget. Dig Through Time got reprinted recently I think. Ravenform is a great solution card in mono-blue, especially if you add some tutors later, as it can exile an artifact, something blue generally can't do. There is also Resculpt, which gives a 4/4 but is an instant. Either or both are worth considering. Saw It Coming and Mystic Reflection are also worth taking a look at.

Man, I wish I could delete my comment. Mystic Reflection says only the NEXT time, I thought it said "Whenever one or more creatures or planeswalkers enter the battlefield -under your control-, they enter as copies of the chosen creature." smh But it still is pretty powerful.

For the first question, Leveler doesn't actually target, so you cannot retarget the ability. If it was worded as "When Leveler enters the battlefield, target player exiles their library" then you could, but as it currently stands it's not a targeted ability (and for good reason). You can however Stifle it and use Mystic Reflection in response to your opponent casting a creature spell.

As for the second question, yes. Because Phyrexian Dreadnought's ability is a triggered one, Stifle allows you to counter it. Similarly, cards like Torpor Orb would prevent it from activating at all. In their case however, the ability just doesn't happen rather than go on the stack and then getting countered.

Hey, you're welcome, nice changes.

Is the +1/+1 counter theme worth it here? Bane is a good card in multiplayer, but it doesn't need a +1/+1 counter theme to be good, it just happens to use +1/+1 counters. Champion of Lambholt also uses counters, but she gets counters from creating creature tokens, interaction with Twincasters. Fractals also have counters, but that's just how they're created, the additional +1/+1 counter theme isn't really helping Fractals. +1/+1 counters don't have interaction with making token copies of creatures since the token copy doesn't get the counters when it's created.

A good counter interaction here is Primal Empathy + Fathom Mage , but how consistent is it that you get both these cards without having tutors to get them? Not sure if Fathom is worth playing as a draw source when it wants a more expanded counter theme to get the most out of it. Empathy, you don't have a consistent high power creature to take advantage of the draw.

Fae Offering has a good token effect with Twincasters, but only if you can trigger it which consistently seems too difficult here. Khalni Ambush  Flip, fight is good with Hornet Nest , but I don't think I would play a card that all it does is fight just to have this interaction. You don't really have powerful enough creatures until later in the game that can fight an opponents creature, kill it while also having your creature survive.
