Undead Unleashed

Hey, nice upgrades of Demonic, Acererak, Stitcher, Gravecrawler, Grim, Sidisi, Cryptbreaker, Master, Undead, Remembrance, Titan, Victimize, Misty, Drowned, Clearwater.
Interesting choices to cut the mana rock ramp other than Sol from the precon and reduced the lands from 40 to 31. Reducing the lands is fine because 40 lands in the precon is too much. Although, only 31 lands is pretty risky; I wouldn't play below 34 if I'm not playing green. The problem is you haven't compensated for the reduction of lands by adding more ramp to have enough mana or more low CMC draw to help to draw lands or some of both. It looks like you have cut lands to add more high CMC cards which is the wrong approach when upgrading a precon.
With a budget of $400+ consider adding the mana rocks? The precon has Arcane Signet, Talisman of Dominance and Crowded Crypt, all these are good. Add to these Dimir Signet and Thought Vessel; these two are upgrades for the Diamonds. More low CMC draw can also replace lands such as Brainstorm, Preordain, Deadly Dispute, Frantic Search, Village Rites.
Dreadhorde Invasion is a two drop in the precon and it's a good repeatable Zombie source for Wilhelt. Sac the Zombie Army token at your end step on each of your turns for a repeatable draw source that only costs you 1 life on your turn. Midnight Reaper is also in the precon and it's a Zombie who can be a repeatable source of draw especially with Gravecrawler.
Some cards to consider cutting because they're not as good as others here:
- Lord of the Forsaken
- Sludge Monster
- Eternal Skylord: don't need it because you have Hordewing Skaab.
- Dread Summons
- Ghoul's Night Out
- Bonehoard
- Oriq Loremage: don't need it because you have Vile Entomber.
- Syphon Flesh
- Whispersilk Cloak
- Empty the Laboratory
- Liliana's Mastery
- Open the Graves
- Risen Executioner
- Wight
- Phyrexian Crusader
- Ebondeath, Dracolich
- Army of the Damned
I don't think you have the mana to support X spells such as Summons and Empty to get enough from them to be worth casting. Adding Cabal Coffers + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth would help also with casting Army.
With Gravecrawler to combo with Rooftop you need a sac outlet. To combo with Wilhelt and Poppet Factory you also need a sac outlet. Consider adding some sac outlets?
- Blasting Station: can be the win condition with either Gravecrawler or Factory combo.
- Carrion Feeder: one drop Zombie.
- Ashnod's Altar: combos with Havengul Lich + Rooftop to repeatedly reanimate/sac/reanimate all Zombies in all graveyards.
- Altar of Dementia: infinite mills all your opponents when you control Factory by repeatedly sacing just one Zombie. Can also be the win condition with Gravecrawler + Rooftop.
If you're wanting to win with combo especially with Rooftop then consider some protection for the combo? Lazotep Plating, Counterspell, Swan Song, Flusterstorm.
Good luck with your deck.

When Hel freezes over (27/12/22 major update)

Hi m8,
Wonderful deck; definitely worth a +1! I was thinking you could add Syphon Flesh. It offers control AND zombie tokens and is especially great value if you tend to play in a group.
Kind regards,

Zombie Drain Deck

Hey, you're welcome.
Against opponent hexproof creatures you want more Fleshbag Marauder and Syphon Flesh sacrifice effects. Here's some budget options.
- Innocent Blood
- Plaguecrafter and Demon's Disciple
- Liliana's Triumph
- Vona's Hunger
- Tergrid's Shadow
- Call to the Grave
Living Death is powerful, but may be too expensive price. It's mass sacrifice for all players creatures and it's also mass reanimation for each player of any creatures that where in that players graveyard before you cast Living.
Black has some board wipes, unfortunately the better cards are not budget options, but here's a few that are.
- Life's Finale : also puts any three creatures of your choice from one opponent's library into their graveyard to embalm them with Scarab.
- Deadly Tempest : also does damage to each player.
- Crux of Fate : if there's no problematic Dragons then choose all nonDragon creatures.
Some more situational budget board wipes:
- Nightmare Unmaking and Extinction Event : exiles creatures not destroy. Can exile indestructible creatures.
- Mutilate : can kill indestructible creatures since it doesn't destroy instead it can reduce creatures toughness to 0.
- Crippling Fear : affects all nonZombie creatures.

Cool deck! You might like these: The Chain Veil , Rings of Brighthearth , Stolen Strategy , Etali, Primal Storm , Demon's Disciple , Merciless Executioner , Slum Reaper , Syphon Mind , Syphon Flesh , Mana Geyser , Archfiend of Depravity , Empowered Autogenerator , Thran Dynamo , Ensnaring Bridge

Tergrid, Goddess of Salt

Holy Broly, this is even more terrible than I had imagined. Some other cards to consider:
Painful Quandary is simply beyond obnoxious here. The Eldest Reborn is similarly nasty. Might I suggest Grave Betrayal for when Tegrid isn't around? Merciless Executioner and Syphon Flesh are more sac-effects. What's more, maybe Grave Pact , Dictate of Erebos and maybe Butcher of Malakir . Oh, and in case you want to play the nastiest boardwipe ever: Torment of Hailfire .

You want to be left alone until you can cast your angels. Cards like Thalia, Heretic Cathar & Kambal, Consul of Allocation can help while the other players are going to hate you more. Making it a little harder in the mid/late game. I would defiantly skip Thalia, Heretic Cathar for that reason. Kambal, Consul of Allocation can at least deal damage and gain your life.
Lives are a resource for sure. Just watch out with Vona, Butcher of Magan that he will not suck you dry. That is a woman's job XD.
Killing Wave you want to cast for x is high. Do really want to pay that much life for all your creatures? I would skip this and play a real board wipe.
I think that you will not use Obzedat's Aid very well. You can get back an artifact (mostly ramp in your case) == bad. You can get back a planeswalker (if they got it away once, they can it again if you spent your turn on returning it) == (in my opinion) bad. You can get an enchantment back == good (in some cases). Most of the enchantment won't reach the graveyard. But it can good. You can get back a creature == good for less mana. There are a lot of better regeneration spells. They can be used more or for less.
That is why I would suggest not to play Obzedat's Aid. It is not mana efficient enough versus versatility.
From Reign of the Pit & Syphon Flesh you get a creature(s). But would it not better to choose for them? Just killing everything?
Your creatures will not always be the biggest on the table. But why do you use Ethereal Absolution instead of the cheaper options? Glorious Anthem, Always Watching, Commander's Insignia, Force of Virtue or Spear of Heliod. Graveyard hate is a benefit. But I think you can spend your mana better than that.
True Conviction is good but watch that one. Ask yourself "Do I want to play it? Or do I prefer something else? When is this good and when is it bad?". I think that it is bad in most cases and too late when you need it.
I understand that you want the lifegain and ping from Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord. But know that the -x you can use it on 9 creatures (for now) on the turn it enters the game. Also, remember that the lifegain is only for during your turn. Is it worth it?
I don't think that Ob Nixilis of the Black Oath can give you a lot of value. It can be me but I don't like this card.
Why Elspeth, Sun's Champion? You get tokens for 6 mana or destroy all your creatures and some of the opponent creatures. Is that worth it? Or do you play it because you have it lying around?
For Aetherflux Reservoir you probably will never be high enough with this on the board. You don't cast a lot of spells in a turn so you must be happy if you gain 3 lives in a round from it. This is not the deck for it.
Moonlight Bargain is 5 mana + 10 lives for draw 5. Promise of Power is the better version of it. It is on sorcery speed, but cost 5 lives less and you can also get a big beater from it if you pay extra.
For now I think that you are not using enough instant speed tricks that require you to hold up mana. That makes that when you hold up mana for Batwing Brume there is a big chance that you don't need it now and want to cast it later instead. Making you not spend some mana in the round. I would skip this card.
If I look at the curve then I would think about playing 36/37/38 lands. You need a lot of mana for your creatures and you miss green to ramp well. You can use cards like Hagra Mauling Flip & Ondu Inversion Flip to make it a little easier.
