Deadeye Brawler Discussion

Curious Obsession would just make your unblockables blockable, but a few Daring Saboteur might work some of the time. If you are planning for a long game, I like Deadeye Brawler for a number of reasons. A handy side-board card might be Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons as your snake tokens would also be unblockable. Having 2 legendry creatures in the deck might justify Blackblade Reforged etc.
My current version of this deck is Drat Rats

Instead of Recover maybe Duress or Walk the Plank or Vanquish the Weak? Recover is really expensive and you need something to slow them down (or speed you up) while you're setting up your pieces. Maybe Sword-Point Diplomacy?

While you have a lot of good creatures, I would recommend taking most of them out in place of the otters creatures you have. What I mean is, you have a high density of good creatures, but they have such low numbers in your deck that you will not consistently hit the creatures you want when needed. This is a common theme throughout the deck. Perhaps take out the Planeswalkers, Forerunner, Deadeye Brawler, and River's Rebuke in the main board and Recover in the sideboard for a playlet of March of the Drowned, 2-4 (probably 3)copies of Deadeye Plunderers if wanting to stick to the treasure theme. Otherwise throw in another copy of Captain Lannery Storm and Kari Zev, Skyship Raider. Fiery Cannonade would go well in the sideboard and could even make it main board if you know your meta plays a lot of small creatures. Storm Fleet Sprinter is another card that easy should be a playlet. Another 1 copy could work, though. Banner is a bit too high of cmc for Standard, but Lookout's Dispersal would be awesome as a playset. If there are any more spots in your deck, add more lands! Your land base is very low, especially for a three colored deck. Good luck!

-Trapjaw Tyrant : specifially for the art. To me its both beutiful and funny how serene and calming the moment seem, until you notice a scrambling vampire in its jaws.
-Fanatical Firebrand : Reynolds always gets me. I just love the shard, comical and powerful traits of his characters.
-Fathom Fleet Boarder : it made me laugh happily when I oppened my first pack. Makes me think of a mad Shrek.
-Vampire Revenant : for similar reasons to above, made somekind of weird and funny instant link to my memories.
-Deadeye Brawler : now that's a cool and inspiring character. Esjsing is a hero.
-Highland Lake : I second its beauty.

photrox Also the Deadeye Brawler is used as a way to get more cards in hand, I can see this deck getting a quick start then having some issues past turn 10 with a lack of cards in hand, same reason I added a few Opt
Thoughts on having 4 Slippery Scoundrel instead? The Ascend unblockable fits quite well in this.

You need some Unclaimed Territory in this deck for sure. Pirates OH MY! I am not a huge fan of Deadeye Brawler you can get way more control of the game with Hostage Taker. Cut is great removal but not as powerful because its a sorcery and not an instant. Removal to consider: Fatal Push, Vraska's Contempt, or Lightning Strike. Counter abilities are very useful too. Consider Lookout's Dispersal or Siren Stormtamer. Those are my suggestions! You are on your way to a good looking deck.
