I was just looking at your electrostatic pummeler deck, and I really like it! I was hoping to get some pointers for a pummeler deck of my own I'm putting together. I'm ready to buy the cards I'm missing, but wanted to get some more input before putting money down. My friends and I are really casual players, we don't play in tournaments or at game shops, just saturday nights after work with some beer. Would you be willing to give my deck a peek?

I like how evenly spaced amongst the curve this list is. Have how about more ramp, though. that way the payoff cards of Goreclaw and Sarkhan's Unsealing quicker and more efficiently. Really like Prowling Serpopard in this list.

Haha. Not surprised on the fact the name was already taken. Sweet deck. I appreciate the up vote.

Okay. That makes sense. My only suggestion is to add more copies of cards to the SB. I know you can only have 15 cards. Just running a bunch of 1 and 2 copy spells might make finding them when needed hard. Possibly cutting abrade + 1 Chandra for harnessed lightning and a third brontodon. Maybe cutting Huatli instead. Idk. Just making the sideboard more consistent seems like that would help out.

Good to know. Just didn't know if finding the mana sources (mainly Aether Hub as it does not get killed as easily by being a land) was that much of an issue. I really like this deck! It's a very unique take on pummeler. Do you ever find that finding pump spells for pummeler is an issue?

Seafloor Oracle seems nice as it can generate a lot of card advantage, but it seems too easily removable. turn 4 is a crucial turn, and it feels really bad to have oracle killed by any of the 2 cmc kill spells (abrade, lightning strike, Cast down, etc). Perhaps in the SB to get an advantage against control. Swift Warden is also good against single target removal. Blossoming Defense is amazing while still in the format. IDK how much you want to go into the counters plan, but Hadana's Climb Flip could go well in the deck. Deeproot Waters seems slow as it often does not do anything the turn it hits the battlefield along with how going wide feels brutal against Chainwhirler and all the sweepers control has. Both Merfolk Branchwalker and Jadelight Ranger are phenomenal. They even see play in non-tribal decks. I highly recommend both. Good luck with the deck!

Meant to comment earlier. Apologies for the delay. How have the multiple colors in the SB work out for you?

Hm. That sounds interesting. Is there a decklist? Is the deck more midrange and creature heavy rather than having a lot of pump spells?

Hm. That's interesting. Is the deck a pummeler deck or a R/G stompy deck? While this changes into a more midrange plan after SB's, this deck really revolves around having the energy counters. I do love those cards, though. Will be using them a ton after rotation happens. Thank you for commenting!

You already have Fling itself, so I would cut out Soul's Fire. Especially with running 20 lands. I would always recommend staying as close to 60 cards as possible for consistency reasons. Feel free to add a sideboard, though. I defiantly like Invigorated Rampage over Titanic Growth. I would just make sure to have enough creatures in your deck for it to work. I'd think of it as a low to the ground aggro/midrange deck that happens to have the potential to get an incredibly huge Pummeler. Feel free to reference any creatures I use in my list, maybeboard, or even other sources. There are definitely different ways to go about this list. Always happy to help :)

Hey! My first suggestion would be to have more creatures. I know the goal of the deck is to use a ton of pump spells to get the Pummeler kill, but there are going to be many times in which you have a lot of pump spells in hand without having a creature in play. Longtusk Cub seems good as you have Attune in this deck along with some of the other mid-range energy cards. Uncaged Fury is a fun card, lol. Also, perhaps a few more pump spells that offer trample? Trample is just amazing to get through those pesky blockers. Good luck with the deck!
