Ronom Unicorn Discussion

Hey! You did a great job. And under $50, that is awesome.

I don't have a whole lot of suggestions to make, you have a really solid start here. I would be interested in knowing how well Grim Haruspex works, it could be good for this. Token's will be the thing you are saccing the most, though you should have enough nontoken creatures to make it still pretty good. Asylum Visitor is another budget option I have seen people use, since it does a decent impression of Dark Confidant. I think its up to preference or how often you find yourself empty handed.

Also, I have found Lightning Bolt to be insanely powerful in this type of deck. So many times, you will be sitting just a few Artist triggers away from winning and you draw the bolt and it finishes the game. It may be worth trying to find room for the other 2.

Rally the Ancestors may have been a good choice, as your deck will be a tad bit slower than the original. Sometimes the extra couple turns can really help make your graveyard extra juicy.

As a budget version, you are going to be a little slower because of the lands, which may hurt against Infect and Affinity decks. The lack of Ghost Quarter will also hurt your game against Infect and Tron. But I think it was a good idea not to include them. Without fetches, getting your colors online is more important. Lack of Path to Exile will also hurt a bit against creature based combos. But aside from that, you should be good to go against most decks. You just need to find a sideboard that works for your meta. Think about stuff like Burrenton Forge-Tender, Tidehollow Sculler, Dictate of Erebos, Kataki, War's Wage, Ronom Unicorn, Wear / Tear, Terminate, Duress and Slaughter Games.

Anyways, these decks are a hell of a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy it!

Return to the Ranks, Immortal Servitude or Rally the Ancestors all could be okay in slower match-ups but wont be very good in fast games. Burrenton Forge-Tender is very good. I am not sure what match-ups Judge's Familiar would be useful though. Other options could include Disenchant, Ronom Unicorn, or Timely Reinforcements. Dictate of Erebos is a cheaper alternative to Grave Pact which is great in these decks.

Why not change Silverchase Fox for Felidar Cub or Ronom Unicorn or Kami of Ancient Law or Keening Apparition ? I know they don't exile but you can use asap and they don't require mana.

Why do you use Quicksmith Rebel?

Very nice deck!!!

@Emzed Return to the Ranks looks indeed very powerful the question is for what i should replace it ? and i think i would run max 2 of these.

I should run 2x War Priest of Thune maybe, the benefit of Ronom Unicorn is i can sacrife it in combat and triggers the Zulaport Cutthroat and Blood Artist. Needs more playtesting.

Grim Haruspex is a very good suggestion i replace it for Asylum Visitor and try some games out. thx a lot for your closer look!

Return to the Ranks would be a perfect fit and probably quite powerful.
Asylum Visitor seems rather weak, Grim Haruspex is a much better option for card draw. (also a human for Falkenrath Aristocrat)
Leyline of the Void and Rest in Peace are big problems for this deck after sideboarding. Maybe you should have more answers to those. Also, why Ronom Unicorn instead of War Priest of Thune? (another human!)

It seems you missed one of the vows; Vow of Duty.

War Cadence can both be a bargaining tool, and make your opponents more enticing to attack.

War Tax is another Propaganda effect.

If you've got Felidar Cub on here, you might as well include Kami of Ancient Law, Ronom Unicorn, and Keening Apparition.

Perhaps Seal of Removal and Angelic Shield should be in there with the other seals?

Some pacifism effects only conditionally shut down the creature they're on, and thus can be used politically. Manacles of Decay and Gelid Shackles, for example.

Catapult Squad plus an ample amount of soldiers gives you incredible control over combat math. Players have to start asking you to let their creatures survive combat. Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile and Ballista Squad do similar work.

Ronom Unicorn is strictly better than Felidar Cub because of unicorns.
