Promise of Bunrei

Enchantment

Whenever a creature you control dies, sacrifice this. If you do, create four 1/1 colorless Spirit creature tokens. (Dying is being put into the graveyard from the battlefield, tokens are put into the graveyard before they cease to exist.)

Just so you know, the Reyhan/Ozolith combo doesn't work how you want it to. Young Wolf still had a counter on it when it died and Undying will not trigger.

As far as combos not mentioned go:

Ashnod's Altar + Caller of the Claw + Tayam, Luminous Enigma is infinite activations if you had two creatures die this turn.

Ashnod's Altar + Hallowed Spiritkeeper + Tayam, Luminous Enigma is infinite activations if you have two two creatures in the graveyard.

Ashnod's Altar + Promise of Bunrei + Tayam, Luminous Enigma is infinite activations.

I'm a little confused, to be honest. I see a lot of sacrifice pay off but I'm not sure what you are trying to sacrifice. Something that makes a lot of tokens is great. Lingering Souls and Promise of Bunrei are decent examples. Cards like Dusk Legion Zealot , Wall of Omens , or Thraben Inspector are good for sacing as well since their job is over once they hit the battlefield. Another option is cards that replace themselves like Doomed Traveler or Hunted Witness . Idk just some thoughts hope it was helpful.

Looks like a fun deck! I may put something similar together with what I have.

For budget removal Id recommend Condemn and Reciprocate

For more tokens Gather the Townsfolk , Lingering Souls (if you want to splash back), Spectral Procession , Promise of Bunrei

For enchantments I’d look at Ajani's Welcome , Legion's Landing  Flip (also taps for land), Leyline of the Meek , Honor the Pure and Intangible Virtue .

As far as creatures go I’d try to get more tokens out. Maybe Thraben Doomsayer , Doomed Traveler , Impassioned Orator or Soul's Attendant

Some instants would be Make a Stand to protect tokens from a board wipe

Looking good! After a few playtests, it's clear just how quickly you can assemble a small but versatile army. If I may, I have a few questions and/or recommendations for the deck. I'll start with the overarching notes.

First: why isn't there more red? It seems that you've bulked up on white and blue despite having all this red mana at your disposal. I can certainly understand the appeal when it comes to cards like Jaya's Immolating Inferno or Finale of Glory , but unless this is a dedicated combo deck bent on tutoring out a similar win con (may I suggest Comet Storm ?), I have to wonder how you're planning on making it work. If you aren't as dedicated to that, I would look into ways to turn red (or colorless!) noncreature spells into cantrips. Jori En, Ruin Diver comes to mind. While you're at it, Birgi, God of Storytelling  Flip and Runaway Steam-Kin , if not price-prohibitive, would be decent additions.

Second, it would seem you need a few more dedicated spirit token generators. Spirits can get expensive, but it is certainly possible to pick out Court of Grace , Geist-Honored Monk , and Promise of Bunrei .

I realize those are not red cards. Have you considered Electrostatic Field , Gelectrode , or Thermo-Alchemist ? Maybe take a look at modern Arclight Phoenix decks? I would also look up boros anthem effects, which are probably better than mono-white ones. Nobilis of War is free after 5 spirits.

Overall, I think being clear about how tall and how wide you want this deck to be will help streamline its consistency. Kykar has a lot going on; make the most of him (or her)!

Secret deck tech Promise of Bunrei gives you 5 spirits. That's for . You activate it by sacrificing a spirit to make .

As BellicoseBunny mentioned, Promise of Bunrei as well as Hallowed Spiritkeeper works great in the deck. If you want to go down an aristocrats route then Ashnod's Altar and Altar of Dementia with some Blood Artist effects can pull the game away. For lands Karn's Bastion and Blast Zone have been great for me. Seems like there's not tons of card draw so Midnight Reaper to go with the Haruspex could net you some more cards and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician can double up as card draw and removal as well Necropotence is well worth it especially with the amount of lifegain you have. Hope this helps!

Funkydiscogod, mmh.. so in the end I wasn't wrong switching Teysa Karlov for Ghost Council of Orzhova. I knew about Promise of Bunrei, that's actually what made me change her.

Her giving lifelink and vigilance to all the tokens was pretty good though. It's a shame that her first effect it's hard to synergize with using spirit tokens.

At this point, if I use Spirit Bonds and keep Ghost Council of Orzhova, I could keep the Doomed Traveler since I can sacrifice him with the council, spawning another token, and possibly trigger Promise of Bunrei.

Thanks for the suggestions.
