Court of Grace

When Court of Grace enters the battlefield, you become the monarch.

At the beginning of your upkeep, create a 1/1 white Spirit creature token with flying. If you're the monarch, create a 4/4 white Angel token creature with flying instead.

Hi Guerric you already have a lot of suggestions, but maybe you would like to also add Court of Grace and Entreat the Angels to your maybeboard?

I'm always glad to see Mono-White Angels!

Have you thought about running Court of Grace? I personally love that card (go to discussion on the Court of Grace page, and count how many times I've recommended it). Is it the best thing since sliced bread? No, I'll admit that much, but I still love it.

Court of Grace is a card that I love for mono-white, especially for Angels. Also, seeing an Angel-tribal deck is amazing! I love Angels!

LunchBox1211: oh, I really like that suggestion. Making tokens can be difficult sometimes and I forgot Court of Grace even existed. I'll find a spot for it when I next make edits.

Dromar39: Also a decent idea, although most untap spells just hit creatures, so I dunno how good it is. Next time I see one I'll try it out. Thanks!

Here's something that my friend told me. "When you look at a card in your deck, ask yourself what it does, and what it works well with. If something only works well with 1, maybe 2 other cards (especially if those aren't your commander), or if it fills a very niche role, you may want to rethink it."

Sorry if these two posts are a lot to read, and again, if you have a card that you just really like, run it. I have my own pet card, Court of Grace that I run in almost all of my white decks, for better or worse. All that I have said are me making observations, and trying to help someone navigate the vast world of Magic: the Gathering, while still learning myself.

If this makes you feel down, just know that I was once where you were. New to the game, just playing with my friends. I've learned a bit, I've gotten a bit better, I still get obliterated quite often, and deciding what cards to cut from a deck does not get any easier (for the person building the deck, at least). I would recommend finding a Commander Pre-Con that sounds like fun and either copying it here, on tappedout, or buying it, and then making a few changes from there. The Pre-Cons are quite well built, all things considered.

Good luck in your deck building adventures! Dragons are awesome!

While I doubt it's very good, Bucknard's Everfull Purse seems kind of funny with this commander. Also, I feel contractually obligated to mention Court of Grace to a white deck that likes flyers.

ShieldOfHolyShadows, I'll be honest, I have not noticed people targeting me for playing Court of Grace. Sure, people want to attack whoever the monarch is, but once someone hits me, the table tends to attack them. I know this goes against the entire point of running the Monarch in a pillow fort deck, but I have built a handful of pillow fort-type decks, including an Esper Monarch deck, and a card like Crawlspace can protect you from attacks, especially if you are making bodies with Court of Grace, as can Silent Arbiter.

So, no, I have not noticed players targeting me because I played Court of Grace, and if they have, they are not targeting me, they're targeting the Monarch, which happens to be me at the time. I will also admit that it isn't perfect, but I feel like it is underrated.

Hopefully that helps. If people are blowing up your stuff because you played Court of Grace, I'm not sure what to say. Might I ask who the Commander is for that deck, and also did you know that Serra's Sanctum is legal in EDH (in case you need some help ramping after you drop some enchantments)?
