Biggest, Dumbest, Craziest Enchantments/Instants/Sorceries

For my Kykar, Wind's Fury deck, I want to build around one card type, and make it fun. Casting cards like Mind's Dilation or Djinn Illuminatus have always interested me, but I can't decide what card type to build around. From what I've found, Instants and Sorceries have more crazy support cards like Thousand-Year Storm and Swarm Intelligence, but enchantments have big dumb stuff like Possibility Storm and Sunbird's Invocation. So what are the best of each type, and which should I choose?

Most Kykar's I've seen go the spellslinger route with instants and sorceries.

However, I would say to go enchantments because of this. You probably won't be able to win as fast but enchantments have good resiliency and I believe, play out in a more fun way.

i have seen alot of Kykar, Wind's Fury almost all of them were storm decks

enchantments would be a unique spin that most wouldn't see coming
personally i love Sunbird's Invocation
at the risk of tweeking out a few forum members, i recently cut a Rhystic Study for Sunbird's Invocation

todate: the most interesting version i played against was focused on wheels, flashback, and exile
it was surprisingly good he almost won with it

i did see an artifact version once but it was completely lame not really worth mentioning

Hey, Ramble, thanks for the advice! I'm genuinely puzzled that Enchantments aren't a bigger slice of the Kykar pie, she creates spirits, that create mana, that cast bigger enchantments that alter the game, until you're casting 10 spells a turn that aren't from your deck each turn with cards like Stolen Strategy and Hive Mind. I looked at artifacts, but there are so many other options for artifacts, like Breya or Sharuum. The flashback/wheel build sounds cool, I'll definitely check it out. Thanks so much!

food for though if you go enchantments
Mana Echoes
Kindred Discovery
Mirrormade

as for flashback wheel
he opened the game with Mountain, Mana Crypt, Wheel of Fortune
i don't think most understand how devastating that was
then followed it up with a Soul-Guide Lantern 2 turns later

Wow, that's one crazy start. Compulsory mulligans are fun. Anyways, I always create a list of cards I think are good for a deck, and those are all on there. Mana Echoes is especially broken, creating ridiculous amounts of mana to cast more and more fun things. Looks like Green's gonna have to move over. There's some new ramp in town!

I’m always looking for an excuse to play Heat Stroke, and it might help you live longer with your spirits...

Hey, FormOverFunction, thanks for the suggestion! I've never heard of Heat Stroke, but it looks broken with a flash enabler. "I'll block that, that, and that, sac those spirits before damage is dealt, cast this Parallel Thoughts, and oh look, your board is gone. Such a shame!" Speaking of Parallel Thoughts, it's a shame it's so under-used, in the right deck, it's 5 mana, tutor 7 cards.

My WUBRG Natural Disasters! deck has some really fun enchantments in it (as do some of the mono-colored natural disaster decks) so poke around in there if you’ve got a free minute!

Enchantments sounds like it would be the most fun to me. But that's because I like seeing a board state full of cards.

Hey, griffstick, thanks for the input! I'm leaning towards Enchantments, they just seem crazy and fun, especially for more casual environments. I've already got more competitive decks, and this'll be good against my younger cousin. This has been really helpful! If you've got any suggestions for cards, you can post them, but try to keep them enchantment-related.

Mudslide is another that could really leverage your all-flier program. If you’re not too hung up on theme (borrowing from my Haunted House! deck) you could also throw Artificer's Hex in there as an answer to a problematic equipment / voltron situation. That’s one of my favorite answers.

I think Vicious Shadows is a must have for this deck

@FormOverFunction
i love Artificer's Hex my favorite equipment to enchant with it is Bloodthirsty Blade
i also love Relic Putrescence
but i don't think any of these would be good suggestions for this deck

I love that RambIe. Putting Artificer's Hex on Bloodthirsty Blade is super cool. Definitely gonna use that one.

How about Fires of Invention? The big negative is the two spell limit, but with other enchantments flinging spells it should be better right? What do you think?

I recently posted my deck Kykar Swiss Army Knife (Budget). I am mostly going the enchantment route, but using anthems to pump my spirits into an army. Go to my deck list to see the build. I have an extensive maybeboard for these types of enchantments.

Think about it - when you cast Favorable Winds, you get a 1/1 spirit that becomes 2/2. Then, you cast Shared Triumph and you get another 1/1 spirit. Now both spirits are 3/3. Next you cast Glorious Anthem and you're at 3 spirits, 4/4 each.

If somebody decides to board wipe, you bust out a Comet Storm or Sphinx's Revelation in response and use up all of your tokens.

A few essential cards: Twilight Drover and Mana Echoes, both of which have huge synergy with Kykar and can set up infinite combos. Coat of Arms is nuts.

There's not a lot of great mana ramp in these three colours, so my build uses lots of little spells.

Cards that make tokens better (23)

1x Bident of Thassa
1x Call for Unity
1x Cathars' Crusade
1x Clash of Realities
1x Commander's Insignia
1x Crescendo of War
1x Day of the Dragons
1x Dictate of Heliod
1x Diversionary Tactics
1x Divine Sacrament
1x Divine Visitation
1x Eldrazi Monument
1x Force of Virtue
1x Glorious Anthem
1x Glory of Warfare
1x Goblin Bombardment
1x Goblinslide
1x Hall of Triumph
1x Heraldic Banner
1x Honor of the Pure
1x Shared Triumph
1x The Immortal Sun
1x Throne of the God-Pharaoh

Secret deck tech Promise of Bunrei gives you 5 spirits. That's for . You activate it by sacrificing a spirit to make .
