Maybeboard

Just a fun deck, looking for suggestions!

Main: You have a few paths to victory with the deck: 1) swarm and overwhelm them with an army of zombies 2) deck yourself while Laboratory Maniac is on the field, or 3) mill your opponents.

There are a TON of ways to make zombies as this deck is geared towards this and is the primary strategy. Sidisi, Brood Tyrant will probably be the main way. This deck is crammed with creatures and ways to bin them from your library, including Mesmeric Orb , Selhoff Occultist , and Embalmer's Tools . Helm of the Host can copy Sidisi, which will make it easier to bin more creatures and get more tokens off of those creatures. Another way to generate zombies is Undead Alchemist with Altar of the Brood , Lich Lord of Unx , and Consuming Aberration ( Helm of the Host and Altar of Dementia also work very well with this combo), which also encompasses the mill strategy for this deck. Outside of that, Diregraf Colossus , Cryptbreaker , Open the Graves , Field of the Dead , Endless Ranks of the Dead , Doubling Season , Parallel Lives , Cemetery Reaper , Ghoulcaller Gisa , Liliana, Death's Majesty , Liliana, Dreadhorde General , Liliana, the Last Hope , Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet , Grave Titan , and Lich Lord of Unx all make more zombies.

Sakura-Tribe Elder , Solemn Simulacrum , Wood Elves , Farhaven Elf , and World Shaper are the ramp creatures; Bloodghast , Gravecrawler , Nether Traitor , Prized Amalgam , Reassembling Skeleton , Relentless Dead , and Scourge of Nel Toth (and kinda Risen Executioner ) all return from the graveyard easily and are great sac targets for Prime Speaker Vannifar , Birthing Pod (which help tutor for the creatures you need), Drowned Rusalka , Izoni, Thousand-Eyed , Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord , Grimgrin, Corpse-Born , Altar of Dementia , Blasting Station , and Attrition . There's also the Butcher of Malakir and Grave Pact combo for all the creatures you sac. Eternal Witness , Genesis , Golgari Findbroker , Havengul Lich , Lord of the Undead , Muldrotha, the Gravetide , Mikaeus, the Unhallowed , Journey to Eternity  , and Hell's Caretaker all can bring creatures/cards back from the graveyard; In Garruk's Wake , Plague Wind , Cyclonic Rift , Liliana, Death's Majesty , and Liliana, Dreadhorde General are board clears. Other cards that I haven't specifically mentioned are utility cards that can draw cards, tutor, gain life, boost zombies, etc.

Side: I have no idea what I should do for the sideboard. I have Hair-Strung Koto as essentially a copy of Embalmer's Tools , Dictate of Erebos as another copy of Grave Pact , Mortal Combat for yet another win condition, Vengeful Pharaoh for the cute interaction it has with Sidisi, Dread Summons for value, and Army of the Damned for fun.

Again, I have no idea what to do for the sideboard or if there's anything else that I'm obviously missing. Yes, I don't have that much spot removal, but that was intentional (to me, EDH is a fun format and spot removal is a bit too much anti-fun in my mind, I may need to rethink it though). I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts and suggestions!

First things first, I don't know how I missed this in the original description, but River Kelpie and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed make an infinite combo; River Kelpie even fetches Mikaeus, the Unhallowed with Birthing Pod ! You need a sac outlet (e.g. Blasting Station , Grimgrin, Corpse-Born , or Altar of Dementia ) to truly go infinite though.

Okay, now to the nitty-gritty and stuff that I legitimately need help with!

This deck is a bit of a glass cannon: if you're ahead, you'll probably win, if you're behind, you'll probably lose. There isn't any spot removal as I wanted to include as many creatures as possible so that Sidisi, Brood Tyrant would hit. But after playing matches, there were certainly a number of times that I needed removal to get back into the game. Digging through Gatherer, I'm thinking about Skinrender , Shriekmaw , Avatar of Woe , Noxious Gearhulk , Nekrataal , Orc Sureshot , Dark Imposter, Faceless Butcher , Hostage Taker , Murderous Rider , Overseer of the Damned , Ravenous Chupacabra , Shadowborn Demon , Vengeful Pharaoh , and Unliving Psychopath . Out of all of these, I'm leaning most towards Murderous Rider and Skinrender since they're both zombies. Shriekmaw and Ravenous Chupacabra are very close and may outstrip Skinrender (-3/-3 beats indestructible, but how frequently will it actually kill?). Noxious Gearhulk , Dark Imposter, Overseer of the Damned , and Shadowborn Demon are all pretty slow and Orc Sureshot and Unliving Psychopath need a bit of effort to get them to work. Vengeful Pharaoh works very nicely with Sidisi's ability, but you do need a some way of milling yourself consistently plus it can only kill an attacking creature. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Another thing that I noticed in games is that I get mana screwed somewhat regularly. I knew when I was making the deck that 28 lands was pushing it, but I guess I didn't realize how much I actually was. Because of this, I want to try and fit in Dryad Arbor (still a creature, so Sidisi can still trigger :), Burnished Hart , Ondu Giant , and/or maybe more lands. What cards should be cut?

Also through playing the deck, there weren't that many times when I really wanted Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord or The Gitrog Monster . It could be that I just need to play more matchups to find ones where they shine, but I'm thinking of cutting them. I'm also thinking of putting Underrealm Lich back in. It's a zombie and each time you pitch a creature when you draw, Sidisi's ability triggers! Granted, The Gitrog Monster could draw a lot of cards when you mill yourself, so more playtesting is required.

Last but not least, Syr Konrad, the Grim . Boy does he fit in nicely with this deck! Each time you mill, reanimate, and sac a creature, his ability triggers (plus of course it triggers when that happens for any player), plus you can mill yourself and your opponents to make them lose a lot of life and to net a ton of zombies! The biggest problem of course is that he's relatively slow at 5 mana. So is he worth it, or keep him in the board for now?

Thanks for all the help! :)
