Scourge of Nel Toth Discussion

Entomb would help a lot with consistency.
Living Death and Corpse Connoisseur would be great especially the corpse connoisseur since you could continuously cast him to keep getting more dudes into your grave. living death is great especially if you have sac outlets so you can guarantee you don't sacrifice any creatures and then you get them all back which can overwhelm your opponents with etb triggers and your massive board vs their not so massive board.
Golgari Grave-Troll (more on the expensive side) and Stinkweed Imp are great ways to get creatures into your grave to increase consistency and ggt is a great body that you can play late game and keep on the board for a while.

Phyrexian Arena is another great way to draw cards.
Massacre Wurm seems like a great card if one of your friends plays a wicked sweet scarab God zombie token/mill deck.
Scourge of Nel Toth also seems really good here.

For Soulless One, do you think the CMC is too high for it to be beneficial in an aggro deck? I figured since it's power/toughness grows with each zombie in play and in graveyards, it's great for a deck with tokens, Liliana, etc.

Saljen This is SO helpful! I appreciate you taking the time to comment on this. This points out, amongst other things, that I need to take some time to research more about the underlying concepts of decks. When you mention new tools in one of the recent sets, which are you referring to? (Not Ixalan I'm assuming.)
As an aggro deck, does having Liliana, Death's Majesty make sense? Do you think I need something like Never / Return in a sideboard or so to deal with planeswalkers? I've never designed a sideboard. Does Liliana's Mastery make any sense if I keep Liliana in?
Do you think I need to add some smaller CMC flying cards in here and drop the Scourge of Nel Toth?
As for legality, a number of cards in here seem to be "illegal" in Modern. I wonder how strict folks are in casual play for that. I guess we'll see.

Zombies are the best! They just got a lot of new tools in one of the most recent sets as well.
Let me start by saying that your deck looks like it's lacking direction a bit. You've got some Zombie aggro in there mixed with lots of lands and lots of high cost or X cost spells. Those are two conflicting strategies. I'd suggest honing in on the Zombie aggro if you want to stick with the Zombie theme.
I'd recommend dropping the following cards: Diregraf Ghoul (there are better 1CMC Zombies), Scourge of Nel Toth (very expensive for an aggro deck), Soulless One and Unbreathing Horde (these just aren't very powerful), as well as all of your X spells, Torment of Hailfire, Dread Summons, and Dark Salvation as they are just too expensive to play and actually be useful. Contamination isn't actually legal in Modern, so I'd suggest dropping that as well.
Here's some cards that I'd consider to replace the ones that I suggested you remove: Gravecrawler and Cryptbreaker are the best 1CMC Zombies. Definitely consider these if going aggro. Cemetery Reaper and Lord of the Undead offer more ways to pump up your Zombie horde, as well as additional functionality. Grey Merchant of Asphodel offer unique late game options to finish off the opponent. You could also consider upping the number of Undead Warchief and/or Lord of the Accursed. Aether Vial would also be a solid way to speed up the deck.
Hopefully this isn't too much critique for one deck, but you mentioned you were new so I thought I'd throw out some advice. I have a Zombie EDH deck that I put a lot of time into, so I've got some experience with the undead. Good luck with your new deck!

Unfortunately, Rakdos does not handle enchantments well, and I can't think of anything that'd help at the moment.
I'd also suggest cutting back on the lands a bit. You definitely don't need that many. Blood Crypt would be another good hybrid land though.

All three of my Tricolour zombie decks have been in need of serious updates since Commander 2014. I have made a lot of changes to update this since the revisit to Innistrad as cards like Cryptbreaker, Geralf's Masterpiece and others have been excellent additions.
The change relates to experience with my SBT BUG deck - I found that if you mill yourself a lot, all the other cards have to have recursion or other cards to reanimate them. So, unless we are talking about Faithless Looting or Army of the Damned sorceries in my Marchesa deck would need cards like Possessed Skaab, which lead to a lot of cards extra cards.
Now the deck revolves around strong Zombies with counters, cards like thraximunder, Diregraf Colossus, Noosegraf Mob and Unbreathing Horde. These zombies with counters, work alongside self-discard cards which help generate tokens, draw cards and fill the graveyard with tonnes of beneficial targets. Now that we are selectively discarding rather than milling, we can draw into lands and spells which we need in hand; cards like [[Living End] or [Twilight's Call]], which we couldn't do before. We can also discard targets like Scourge of Nel Toth or Anger or Vengeful Pharaoh.

First I recommend taking out: Havengul Runebinder, Cemetery Recruitment, Undead Alchemist, Nantuko Husk, Geralf's Masterpiece, Geralf's Mindcrusher, Ashes of the Fallen, Perpetual Timepiece, Secrets of the Dead, Ancient Excavation, Murder, Compelling Deterrence, Liliana's Mastery, Obelisk of Urd, Graf Harvest, and Zombie Infestation, Ghoulcaller's Chant,
Cards that you should put in: Gravecrawler, Gravespawn Sovereign, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Grave Pact, Unholy Grotto, Sidisi, Undead Vizier, Living Death, Cryptbreaker, Death Baron, Phyrexian Reclamation, High Market, Corpse Harvester, Balthor the Defiled, Reassembling Skeleton, Skullclamp, Grave Defiler, Graveborn Muse, Zombie Apocalypse, Crypt of Agadeem, Geier Reach Sanitarium, Reliquary Tower, Bojuka Bog, Diabolic Intent, Patriarch's Bidding, and Demonic Tutor.
If you are really trying to stay Timmy with the deck, then I won't recommend Phyrexian Altar because it goes infinite with Gravecrawler and any kind of death/ETB trigger, but then again, it does it with Rooftop Storm and a sac outlet too.
Other cards that can be really good in zombies include: Sheoldred, Whispering One, Corpse Connoisseur, Zombie Trailblazer, Twilight's Call, Geth, Lord of the Vault, Demonic Collusion, Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, Scourge of Nel Toth, River Kelpie, Phyrexian Arena, Attrition, Kokusho, the Evening Star, Burnished Hart, Disciple of Bolas, Harvester of Souls, Damnation, Rune-Scarred Demon, Phenax, God of Deception, Beacon of Unrest, Corpse Augur, Palace Siege, Infernal Caretaker, Contamination, Plague Belcher, Vengeful Dead, Dread Wanderer, Boneknitter, Grimoire of the Dead, Pontiff of Blight, Custodi Lich
