Necromaster Dragon

Creature — Dragon

Whenever Necromaster Dragon deals combat damage to a player, you may pay . If you do, put a 2/2 black Zombie creature token onto the battlefield and each opponent puts the top two cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard.

Necromaster Dragon Discussion

TypicalTimmy on Blade of Selves on Silumgar, ...

I asked a similar question a year or two ago involving Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite and being copied. The consensus was that for the brief time the copy was on the battlefield, both -2/-2 abilities would stack and all of my opponent's creatures would get -4/-4 and die to state based actions before the second Norn was moved to the graveyard.

Well, flash forward to today. I am in the refining process for a new EDH deck, and I got wondering:

If I equip Blade of Selves on Silumgar, the Drifting Death and swing with a couple of Dragons, because Silumgar will have several copies made of himself, how does this work?

Now, I understand this gets a bit more complicated with respect to Silumgar's actual ruling as it needs to be specified just how many Dragons are attacking each individual player.

So let's set the scene, to better walk through what's going on here:

What would the total -X/-X be that each opponent would receive? At face value, it appears to be -2/-2, right? After all, 2x Dragons are attacking each. But There are three Silumgar, the Drifting Death s on the battlefield. So, does each Dragon individually hit with -3/-3? So does this mean since I attack with two Dragons each, all creatures that each of my three opponent's control get -6/-6?

And it's honestly not just with this. I have a Helm of the Host in my deck, too. So, this is sort of a very real occurrence I can run into here.

Randomsome1 In Regards to Conspiracy there are a few creatures that i would like to not lose if i get Call to the Grave running. Gisa and Geralf Ghoulcaller Gisa The Scarab God Archetype of Imagination Necromaster Dragon(he may get cut anyway) and creatures i would potentially steal with the effect of Coffin Queen Tho i may take out Call to the Grave then i can remove Conspiracy as well all in all my original beck building ideas for this deck was for fun mainly not to make it super competitive tho who the heck who try to be competitive with a 4 color zombies? and the land bases are tough for a 4 color deck i am going to adjust it accordingly after i get the rest of the cards situated so i know how much of what i need

Given that this would be casual modern, Necromaster Dragon might be worth considering.

While not a Zombie, Necromaster Dragon is a fun card that flies, spits up Zombies, and mills the opponent.

Undead Alchemist is on theme with Geralf.

And you need the Avatar of Zombies, Soulless One.

...then there's The Scarab God...

You have Nissa Revane and not Nissa's Chosen? You should have 4 of him if you have Nissa Revane. Here is another dump of cards that are cool too. Necromaster Dragon, Taigam, Ojutai Master, Catacomb Dragon, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, Siege Dragon, Rith, the Awakener, Crosis, the Purger, Utvara Hellkite (He is one of my favorites!), Mana-Charged Dragon, Vampiric Dragon, Death by Dragons, Dragonmaster Outcast, Knight of New Alara, Conflux, Kilnmouth Dragon (Drop him first and then you have never ending burn spells), Two-Headed Dragon, Flameblast Dragon. I have time on the bus ride home by the way. lol

Cool deck +1! I feel like you don't really need your whole deck to be zombies, as The Scarab God just brings them back as zombies. This leaves room for a lot of powerful black and blue cards, maybe Erebos, God of the Dead or Rune-Scarred Demon. Mill cards, such as Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker and Necromaster Dragon could also help your cause a lot. Cheers!
