Charge Through Discussion

Off the top of my head...

I'm personally not a fan of cantrips in commander, so maybe switch out cards like Adventurous Impulse , Charge Through and Strategic Planning for some of the draw spells with bigger impact like Military Intelligence or Tatyova, Benthic Druid .

Hey Walrighti, +1!
Congrats on your first deck! You have a lot of fun cards in here and it looks great! I imagine you want to tune and make it even more efficient so here are some ideas...
Add 3 categories: #Combo, #Lifegain, and #Evasion; and then sort your maybeboard the same way you've done your mainboard to easily rank your choices within a category (By "combo" I mean all your "if-then" cards like Trudge Garden that are slower and don't work by themselves). Remove #Creatures (most of them are #Combo).
Avoid most cards above 4 cmc... Willowdusk is fast and fragile, so play into that... Also, prioritize cards that can do 2 or more things or that give value on ETB... If you have pet cards that don't really fit and that hurt to cut, put them in a "I'll build that theme later" list.
-1 Pelakka Wurm
-1 Ezzaroot Channeler ... cut the fatties.
-1 Decree of Pain ... too slow
-1 Bow of Nylea ... meh
-1 Sangromancer ... amazing card but doesn't trigger when you need it to.
-1 Venser's Journal ... also amazing, but too conditional for this build
-1 Ranger's Path ... all your ramp should be on turn 2
-1 Temple of the False God ... this card is almost never good
+1 Devoted Druid ... this card is a beast
+1 Talisman of Resilience ... #Ramp
+1 Llanowar Elves ... #Ramp... the elves enable Willowdusk combos on turn 3.
+1 Viridian Joiner ... #Ramp... #Combo
+1 Killing Wave
+1 Massacre Girl ... #Wipe
+1 Beast Within ... #Removal
+1 Golgari Charm ... #Evasion
~1 Rancor ... Trample and haste are important... #Evasion
~1 Destined ... the choices are really good.
+1 Soul Channeling ... #Combo with Willowbark and stick to the board...
~1 Phyrexian Processor ... fun?
~1 Lurking Evil ... maybe?
~1 Solidarity of Heroes ... #Combo
~1 Ooze Flux ... tokens at instant speed?
~1 Retribution of the Ancients ... removal?
+1 Thought Gorger ... (leaves)
+1 Return of the Wildspeaker ... #Draw
+1 Triskelion ... #Combo
+1 Nighthawk Scavenger ... #Fatty
...Always play at least 10 ramp spells under 3 cmc.
...Playtest and make sure Willowbark consistently makes a fatty (with evasion) before turn 6-7.
Happy building :)

Glad to hear things are working out with the deck.
I mixed up Charge Through thinking it had learn when it was draw. My goof on that one.
I am also with you in regards to the Eldrain cards. The adventure cards are not very well balanced and I would like to avoid using them when possible... But when you are going to be playing against them anyways... Might as well make use of the cards that help the deck.
Your adjustments to the deck do look great and make it seem more consistent for play now. Wish you best of luck with the deck.

Thanks for your advice. It was really useful.
I had been playing around with the Learn mechanic, utilising Pop Quiz , but for 3 mana, it wasn't cutting it. Essentially, the Lessons are "Get out of jail" cards only: slightly too expensive for their effect but could literally save you the game. So 3 mana for 1 draw and a Lesson wasn't working.
Charge Through isn't a Learn card unfortunately, hence me overlooking it but I did take onboard your advice that Quandrix Apprentice was a truly suboptimal card for this deck and maybe running 4 Snakeskin Veil and 4 Ranger's Guile was too much defense. I mean, its good to keep your critters on the board but that will only get you so far.
I was specifically avoiding using Eldraine cards but they are just too good. Having a spell to cast AND a creature is very good for this deck.
The deck desperately needed a decent 3 drop, so Lovestruck Beast made its way in. Instantly saw a dramatic improvement.
I did actually go for a Learn card: Gnarled Professor . Its 4 mana for a 5/4 Trample creature which has Learn. That's mana efficiency for you right there. Plus every time you copy it with Orvar, you learn a new lesson.

A solid card option I think you may want a couple copies of in your deck would be Charge Through . This card will give you a combat trick that can give trample to your creature for a surprise lethal hit with your Dragonsguard Elite or just serve as a cheap cantrip spell to trigger your cards in play. The spell also doubles as a learn card allowing you to discard draw or grab a lesson card from your side deck. You can take advantage of this to add cards like Containment Breach , Expanded Anatomy , Introduction to Annihilation , or even Mascot Exhibition to give you some card options that may help you pending on board state situation.
Some other options you may want to consider for your deck are Lovestruck Beast and Brazen Borrower . The option to use them for the adventure can be useful for trigger the magecraft skills. Both have a different purpose to be useful as Lovestruck Beast if you lose the 1/1 it makes a good wall and strong fighter target for Blizzard Brawl ; Brazen Borrower serves as a useful disruption spell that can be a decent flying aggressor.
Out of the cards you are running, Quandrix Apprentice seems like your weakest link as most of your spells are reactive defense spells. This means you are not likely just throwing your spells out to help you draw the lands with their skill.
Hope these suggestions help.

Second on Blossoming Defense over Snakeskin Veil . The +1/+1 counter seems nice, but infect wants to win now, not two turns later. Same with Distortion Strike , especially with rebound, its great to get that myr or elf through. The Noble Hierarch are a lot more helpful then you think, so grab them first. Become Immense is a great finisher, but as was said above, you need fetches. In that same vein, if you're running fetches you will want the Breeding Pool to go with them. I'm not sure how much you are planning on putting into the deck, but the off color fetches with Windswept Heath and Flooded Strand could work well. If you want another two color land option, Waterlogged Grove is great, especially since you generally don't care about your own life total. Something spicy you can test is Charge Through . As an instant speed cantrip that allows you to push damage through, its a nice option on color. I'd also think about cutting the sideboard Invisible Stalker for Dismember so you have some removal.
Always glad to see someone else building infect, +1
