A bit surprised you don't have Luminous Broodmoth in here, since 13th Doc cares about any counters on your creatures. Also surprised The Ozolith isn't in here.

I brewed up a Sovereign Okinec deck a few months ago, and that was all stuff I had in consideration for that deck.

If you have a lot of creatures, Basri's Solidarity could deal a lot of damage.

Nice build!

This reminds me of a Green/White deck which I built specifically to run off of +1/+1 counter generation.

I myself went with Hardened Scales as a primary 1-drop & I think it could fit well with your build, as I also use Luminarch Aspirant as a means of building things up.

My method was to use Hardened Scales as a first-turn drop (sometimes even second turn drop, since I run 4 of them) as well as 4x Conclave Mentor, and then play creatures which come in with counters already (See: Servant of the Scale, Barkhide Troll, Ochre Jelly, Mikaeus, the Lunarch).

Few other thoughts:

  • Hydra's Growth can make for a nice finisher in any +1/+1 counter-based deck
  • Snakeskin Veil is a better alternative to your Arbor Armament since it can protect a creature with many counters already on it
  • Basri's Solidarity combo's amazingly well with Hardened Scales and Conclave mentor, and overall is more powerful than some of the other Sorceries that you're currently running.
  • Incubation Druid provides silly amounts of mana early-on provided you can get a counter on him (easy combo for mana ramp)
  • Charge Through is a nice workaround for decks which have many blockers, as without Trample, even the strongest creature can still be blocked. This fires at Instant-speed as well, so it can be used as a finisher against an opponent hoping to block a large creature with a weenie blocker.

Basri's Solidarity, Cathars' Crusade, Scurry Oak, Good-Fortune Unicorn and the new Scepter of Celebration might be worth checking out. Dunno if these help to speed up the deck but they're at least worth looking at.

Drestlin - Ya, I saw Tezzeret's Gambit this morning and immediately added it to my cart as that it the essence of what I need in my deck. Throw out some extra +1/+1's AND draw cards...perfection!

Let me know how Huatli's Raptor works for you. I do love how for only 2 mana you get a 2/3 creature and get to proliferate. Compare that to like Basri's Solidarity and it looks really good. I just wish you could activate it more than once but that would be asking a lot from a 2 CMC card that is also a creature with decent initial stats and vigilance.

You are not wrong about Evolution Sage. I feel like it would work in both our decks but you would not be maximizing its ability. We are both running 3xEnter the Unknown but I feel like I would want to get some copies of Ordeal of Nylea to get some additional ramping in the deck and built it more around Evolution Sage to really make her worth adding. Lately I feel like I am drawing >50% of my lands each game so it seemed like a great ideal at the time!

Drover of the Mighty and Sudden Spinnerets work. Drover's ability is a static effect, so if you control a Dinosaur it will enter as a 3/3 and be a 3/3 the entire time (it wouldn't actually trigger things like Mentor of the Meek because it doesn't enter as a 1/1). Sudden Spinnerets can be used in response to Marauding Raptor's trigger as you said, and will keep the creature alive.

Basri's Solidarity won't because it's a sorcery, so you can't cast it until after Marauding Raptor's ability resolves.

Hello, i've got some problems in understanding Marauding Raptors second ability, especially its interactions with other abilities or spells. To simplify it: Is it possible to prevent an entering creature with toughness 2 or less to be killed by Marauding Raptor?

For example, does Drover of the Mightys first ability give it the additional stats before it gets killed by the dino?

Or can i cast something like Sudden Spinnerets or put a counter with Basri's Solidarity on a creature to save it?
