Maybeboard

Transformed my Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs deck into a Thantis, the Warweaver mosh pit of attacks!

This deck takes the same principles that Kazuul runs off of and adds black and green, welcome additions!

We want our opponents off balance and attacking with utility creatures like Crypt Ghast, Grand Abolisher or Viscera Seer so that Thantis, the Warweaver can eat them! Our own creatures will be forced to attack as well so it is important that we feel comfortable protecting Thantis and our other valuable creatures. Some artifacts like Darksteel Plate, Ring of Xathrid, Whispersilk Cloak and Basilisk Collar help with evasion or make block decisions difficult (deathtouch effects and the like). Plus Thantis equipped with Loxodon Warhammer is scary and keeps our life total up while everybody is attacking. And because everybody will be attacking with everything every turn, you will be swinging into a board with perhaps one or maybe two blockers. Menace effects like Goblin War Drums and Gruul War Chant could find a nice home in a deck like this.

But we mainly want bloodshed and carnage! What better way to achieve that than by giving free stuff away? Hunted Dragon, Hunted Troll, Hunted Horror, Beast Within, Terastodon all give us the better end of the bargain and allow our opponents to attack each other with stuff! Make friends, make enemies, make corpses! Thantis gets progressively bigger or we're getting "free" damage on opponents, its an interesting situation. Kardur, Doomscourge and Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor give our opponents the tools to sow chaos and destruction and have clauses that protect us. Let blood be spilled!

Keeping us "safer" from attacks are the aforementioned artifact cards, "rattlesnake" creatures like Ohran Viper, Kokusho, the Evening Star and Harvester of Souls. If Thantis is ready to block, and we have spooky blockers, perhaps they consider attacking somebody less scary. Dragonlair Spider provides blockers whenever opponents cast a spell, what a helpful spider! Swarmyard is here for Thantis protection as well. Fumiko the Lowblood and War's Toll keeps the action going when Thantis isn't around and forces opponents to be more deliberate about what spells they play and when, helping prevent Cyclonic Rift and Swords to Plowshares on our turn.

There are plenty of ways to ramp mana in these colors but I decided on sorcery effects over artifact ones to protect against Vandalblasts and Bane of Progress from the table. "Feels bad man" when Gilded Lotus and Thran Dynamo get removed, so I'll just dump out lands which are much safer from destruction instead (at least in my playgroup). Cultivate, Kodama's Reach and cheaper Nature's Lore and Farseek stuff gets the job done.

Keeping my hand full are a variety of cards, like Hunter's Insight, Return of the Wildspeaker, Read the Bones and Rishkar's Expertise. Creature card draw like Bloodgift Demon and Harvester of Souls are forced to attack but they have flying or deathtouch to avoid death or make block decisions difficult. Be strategic where you attack to keep your good stuff alive or equip them with artifacts to maximize durability on your stuff.

I anticipate my own stuff will die and we are in Jund after all, so graveyard recursion is useful. Journey to Eternity   is both protection and then a self-only Rise from the Grave every turn once it flips. Skullwinder is a fun card (budget Eternal Witness, although Eternal Witness could easily fit into this deck), getting my best card from GY and making a friend or targeting the player with no cards in the graveyard.
