Clackbridge Troll

Creature — Troll

Trample, haste

When Clackbridge Troll enters the battlefield, target opponent creates three 0/1 white Goat creature tokens.

At the beginning of combat on your turn, any opponent may sacrifice a creature. If a player does, tap Clackbridge Troll, you gain 3 life, and you draw a card.

Clackbridge Troll give a opponent token they can sac for you to draw cards. Also a reasonable beater

This deck looks like it runs really well if your opponents have creatures... but what if they don't? Maybe think about adding in some cards that give your opponents creatures for you to kill. Cards like Forbidden Orchard, Clackbridge Troll and Genesis Chamber just to name a few. With cards like these, you'll almost never run out of targets for your removal!

Clackbridge Troll rules! & is underestimated. Xantcha, Sleeper Agent is another single creature gift.

Clackbridge Troll hasn't been mentioned yet, but I'm not sure if your opponents will attack you with 0/1 Goats. Slaughter Specialist is a good one though. Sleeper Agent is one you can directly give away. Dowsing Dagger  Flip also gives your opponents creature tokens, but they are 0/2's with Defender, so again I'm not sure if you want that.

Love this build! And Clackbridge Troll is hilarious and such a genius fit here!

An interesting ritual in black is Sacrifice, which has you essentially food chain a creature without getting an extra mana. This can allow you to bring out Toxrill very early by sacrificing a creature like Clackbridge Troll, or you could even sac Toxrill to it (on your turn in response to removal, most likely) so you can recast him for only the commander tax!

A similar card is Soldevi Adnate, which is repeatable but slow and does not have the element of surprise.

Funny how quickly players catch onto these, I would have more several months ago but now I cannot call them underplayed gems.

  • Clackbridge Troll still underplayed. I will gladly choose an opponent that cannot do jack with goats. I am ok with doming someone with trample troll or I am ok with drawing & gaining.

  • Creative Technique is bonkers with demonstrate. Just choose an opponent that plays a bunch of value spells, dorks, or x-spells.

I think one thing in common with alot of mine is that many have a perceived double-edged sword, but this has been mitigated about 80% of the time for me just by choosing the right player with the right strategy to grant a "boon" to

I'm assuming you're wanting to build a "casual" deck--if this is indeed the case, your 60 cards should be divided as such:

  1. 24 Lands (5ish that can tap for both and ).

  2. 7-8 cards that draw more cards.

  3. 5+ cards that destroy, exile, or otherwise deal with your opponents' threats. Since you have access to blue spells, "countermagic" like Counterspell is also an option.

  4. 15ish little creatures/spells that can start whittling away at your opponents' life total.

  5. 6 "finishers"--in other words, big spells that can help end the game, like Clackbridge Troll or something,

  6. The rest can be whatever fun, silly cards you like to play. Don't get too caught up on making your deck unstoppable, this game is primarily just to have a good time. Enjoy yourself!
