Staples! That was easy.

This here is a list of the most effective modern sideboard staples. How to use this list: The mainboard categories are decks you put the cards in, the maybeboard categories are decks you pit the cards against, and the acquireboard categories are cards that were once relevant in and against decks that are no longer used in this meta. The "Variable" category are cards that go in and against too many decks, though they may still appear in one archetype that is dominant.

This list is predominantly generated through MTGTop8's search function, and I do a general overview of which archetypes are most prominent, or if there are no prominent archetypes for that particular card. This was only a first pass so it requires stricter criteria and finer-tuned searches (comparing total archetypes in season vs how many have that card). The searches are based off of decks within the past 3 years, and will be generally getting a new pass right before the spoiler season of any new set.

A lot of common mainboard instances and sorceries, like removal and discards, are also pretty commonly seen in the sideboard for builds that don't worry too much about having them in the mainboard.

Some of the cards in here may be fringe sideboard options, so please let me know if there is anything that should probably excluded from the list, and provide a detailed explanation of why. Same thing applies to suggesting. I won't accept suggestions without a detailed explanation (unless I know the card and forgot about it).
