Rings of Brighthearth is a very expensive card and Training Grounds i didnt even think of, but its also expensive and i already am pushing over my budget with a few other expensive cards, Illusionist's Bracers i might a swap Phyrexian Soulgorger out for it because sacking a creature isn't worth it to me and it would be about the same price the other two ill put in my maybe board and test them out and see

I mean the big wincons would be infect either by cheating out Blightsteel Colossus or proliferating one of the other sources. Or you could ult any of the Lilis. Otherwise I kind of was going for an Arisocrats good stuff deck with a Phyrexian theme where possible, which explains some inclusions like Gate to Phyrexia .

You get some decent token generation with things like Bitterblossom , Ophiomancer or Weaponcraft Enthusiast . Having these tokens helps since I went low on the land count accidentally, so you can sac them to your Phyrexian Tower or Ashnod's Altar . Other ways of getting mana include Astral Cornucopia and Bottomless Vault both of which take advantage of Yawgmoth's proliferate to get you more mana.

Some cards like Phyrexian Dreadnought and Phyrexian Soulgorger are more for flavor, but also can provide some sac outlets to get off death triggers. So despite the price of some of the cards it's likely not ideal, but in my playtests so far it's been pretty fun.

Buckshot11 I also looked at Phyrexian Soulgorger and dont see the positives in having this creature out. I dont intend for this deck to be flooded with a ton of creatures so I will be losing valuable creatures to keep this creature around. I could just sacrifice it to the cumulative upkeep but thats on turn that I might not get much value out of it.

Psicraft, thank you! Great to hear my deck provided some inspiration for your version. Currently re-thinking/building the deck. Adding more explosive sacrifice fodder for more Zombie waves, for example Phyrexian Soulgorger , for just mana, you gain 8 2/2 Zombie Tokens. With Mimic Vat out, you can do that every turn. Another great card for the same purposes as previous mentioned is Waning Wurm or Desecration Demon , fairly cheap to cast and gives lots of Zombies.

It seems like this commander would do well with high power/low durability/downside cards like Phyrexian Dreadnought, Arc Runner, Ball Lightning, Blistering Firecat, Impetuous Devils, Crumbling Colossus, Blistering Barrier, Bloodmad Vampire, Cosmic Larva, Keldon Vandals, Lavacore Elemental, Loxodon Peacekeeper, Mijae Djinn, Okk, Phyrexian Soulgorger, Wall of Razors, Wall of Torches, Inferno Hellion, Iroas, God of Victory, Spark Trooper, Thunderblust, Traxos, Scourge of Kroog, Volcano Hellion, etc, etc. Cast creature -> attack in (if possible) -> sacrifice if it won't do damage/do damage then sacrifice for even more damage.

Bonus points for slapping buffs the creature before flinging, e.g.: Blazing Shoal, Reckless Charge, Fatal Frenzy, Rush of Blood, Brute Force, etc. Instant/enchantment double strike might be good for per-sacrifice combat round as well.

or really kick things up with Feldon of the Third Path and the biggest thing you can get in your graveyard.

Too many lands. Get more dorks. Priest of Titania, Elvish Mystic, Boreal Druid, and Birds of Paradise.

Some creatures to go with are Phyrexian Soulgorger, Great Oak Guardian and Rhonas the Indomitable. With Rhonas, Guardian, and Temur Sabertooth you can pump your guys and give them trample.

Hey, saw your forum topic asking for help.

Cards to consider adding:

Dreadnought in your graveyard is a 12/12 with trample for one mana with Lazav. Dreadnought and Asp in your graveyard is a combo. Become Dreadnought with Lazav attack and in combat become Asp, make Asp have infect for and kill an opponent with trampling 12/12 infect. Soulgorger is a 8/8 for three mana, also good. Buried/Windfall/Frantic/Careful are all potential early game plays to get creatures into your graveyard. Windfall/Frantic/Careful can also draw which is helpful. Buried is pretty important because it can tutor for and put up to three creatures into your graveyard at one time for three mana. It alone can set up the Dreadnought/Asp combo. Jace/Wharf/Looter can be early game creatures who can be repeatable ways to draw while also putting a creature into your graveyard.

Cards to consider cutting:

  • Deadly Visit
  • Mephitic Vapors
  • Never Happened
  • Severed Strands
  • Stolen Identity
  • Vicious Rumors
  • Cancel
  • Dimir Charm
  • Necrotic Wound
  • Barrier of Bones
  • Dimir Spybug
  • Watcher in the Mist
  • Whisper Agent
  • Jace Beleren

Lands to consider adding:

Good luck with your deck.
