So this is one of my first attemps to make a deck.... And I love mushrooms and wanted to make a flavourful deck that had basically mushrooms, and their environment, trees and treefolk... To be played with friends but still as mighty s possible. But I am honestly struggling to fit everything in properly.... And no clue about which spells to choose! Any feedback is welcomed. So far I got something like this:
Verdeloth the Ancient Unstoppable Ash Orchard Warden Leaf-Crowned Elder Treefolk Harbinger Bosk Banneret Dountless Dourbark Timber Protector Ghoultree Indomitable Ancients Great Oak Guardian/ Cloudcrown Oak
Fungi I really wasnt sure here, not sure if mushrooms would be better represented in this deck by little ones that create saprolings and that is it, or if it is more convenient to keep the good ones in... so had those ideas so far. Also wanted to keep all as mushroomy as possible.
Mycologist x1 Essential for the theme I am aiming for, was thinking of 2 of these. Thallid Shell-Dweller x2 Benefits from using toughness to power up along with treefolk? Corpsejack Menace x3 Ghave, Guru of Spores x2 Mycoloth x2
Enchantments/Spells... The same for this, trying to keep it as mushroom foresty as possible. [pGrow from the Ashes]] is very tempting for this reason... but having other fedges.... Seed Spark ? Lignify ? Saproling Symbiosis ?? Reach of Branches ?? Rootgrapple ?? Fungal Sprouting Fungal Plots Luminiscent Rain Verdant Embrace Infect Pollenbright Wings Whirlwind Was thinking of adding something like Wrath of god or something to clean up the other's cards while having the [Timber Protector] ... Thoughts? And for more multiplayer Sheltering Ancient Heartwood Storyteller Collective Voyage ??
Well, please I would appreciate any feedback. Playing 60 cards, not much restriction... Also potenetially could make it into an EDH deck? But my pals do not really have those although we could probably get into that.
The budget is around 40 bucks...

Yeah, as with your experience I do have to constantly retool the CMC average of the deck to find reasonably-costed incremental "dmg matters" stuff. A lot of my filler creatures fulfill that role.
The redirect spells might not make as much sense in your deck... not totally sure. My Jund deck tends to grow other people's creatures into major threats with green concepts like, Sheltering Ancient or Evolutionary Escalation, vows. It really REALLY wacks people out when I redirect removals from OTHER players property. So yeah, I thought maybe redirects for Xantcha to mess with minds... but might not be as imperative in a rakdos deck

Jund: Thantis, "the crapped-on" has some possibilities... Very fun when I proxied her. I think their are a couple of misunderstandings regarding a good build for her (maybe too much blue slowbuild players out there :) ). It appears to me that there is too much pillowfort focus with her and too much concern for deathtouch. Now for my meta I am providing most the "combat oomph" and prompting action. Hunted cycle is great, vows are great, LIFELINK IS FAR BETTER!!! than deathtouch for rattlesnake value on forced combat!! Yes, I said it - and stand by it. But most of all she is strongest with a "DMG matters groupslug" philosophy. A lot of low cmc curses, and repetitive damage, discard enchantments really shine with her when coupled with cards to produce pawns & damage dealers for opponents. Things like Pain Magnification start triggering ALOT when you are forcing non-ideal combat. INEVITABLY when the pawns build up or you cast a vow or Sheltering Ancient creatures into the threat zone: that is when specific boardwipes are cast... Except you still have all these life-draining gas-guzzling groupslug enchantments in play.

You definitely need to add some boardwipes, I only see the disk.
Maybe add these cards:
Panharmonicon if you go with an etb theme
Manglehorn make mana rocks come in tapped
Reclamation Sage etb removal
Eternal Witness expensive but on theme
Viscera Seer cheap, sac to scry not bad, especially if you want to reuse a creature for an etb effect
Satyr Wayfinder self mill
Sylvan Safekeeper SUPER good for protecting your big bois
Tatyova, Benthic Druid great if you're going for a landfall subtheme
Yavimaya Elder good for mana fixing
Coiling Oracle once you start playing from graveyard, essentially a draw spell
Meren of Clan Nel Toth with a sac theme, could be a good secret commander
Yahenni, Undying Partisan sac outlet
Wood Elves good ramp outlet once you start recurring
Archaeomancer good way to get back your non-permanents if you run self mill/wheels
Hermit Druid self mill
Maybe take out these cards:
Baleful Strix not a lot of utility unless you just need flying blockers
Notion Thief it will certainly be in the graveyard at some point, but flash is what it makes it so good; also no guarantee you'll have Whispering Madness to cast with it; you have several tutors though so maybe you could get it off
Sheltering Ancient buffs your opponent's creatures if I understand correctly; you'll have to buff at least one creature to even attack with this
Shriekmaw a little too specific about removal
Abrupt Decay cmc might be too low to use in some cases

I really like this idea, but it doesn't look like most infect creatures work with Varolz too well. For Varolz to get max value, you want creatures well above the power curve.

You've got most of the stuff this kind of list calls for, but have you given a thought to a low-cost sacrifice package like Indulgent Aristocrat/Vampire Hexmage and the keyword vampires or Sheltering Ancient/Uktabi Drake and other goodstuff green keyword creatures?
Getting some game on those first turns is more vital now than ever with the number of 'go under midrange' decks around, so some budget packages to screw with that metagame which plays to your strategy seems strong.
