All Suns' Dawn Discussion

Creeping Renaissance is perfect for the deck. But I'm a little confused with the wording on All Suns' Dawn. When it says "For each color", does that mean each color used to cast?

You already have Nissa, Vital Force which has become one of my favorite Planeswalkers for Superfriends.

Along the same theme, you can look at, All Suns' Dawn and Creeping Renaissance as Planeswalker recursion from your Graveyard. Obzedat's Aid is another less effective option.

All Sun's Dawn can bring back anything, including a blown up Doubling Season. Creeping Renaissance brings back a ton of Walkers. Obzedat's Aid brings one target back to the Battlefield. All have their uses.

Things I would drop:

Dolmen Gate: Doesn't help you win.

Door of Destinies: I know it's a tribal deck, but it is too slow. Use Coat of Arms instead if you really want the theme, but you'd be better off leaving out both.

Decree of Savagery: Too small of a increase for too much of a cost. It's out of place in the deck as well.

Setessan Tactics: Only useful when your creatures are in Werewolf form, which might be too inconsistent.

Gruul War Chant: Personally I find this card underwhelming.

Parallel Lives: You are not running enough token generation to justify the spot.

Spidersilk Armor: If you want to block flyers, use Akroma's Memorial instead.

I would also cut down the creatures to 25-30. Your weakest links are:

Master of the Wild Hunt

Purphoros, God of the Forge

Pyreheart Wolf

Reckless Waif  Flip

Silverfur Partisan

Village Messenger  Flip

Your average CMC is kind of high, so I would put more ramp in. Skyshroud Claim, Kodama's Reach, and Rampant Growth.

The Humans/Werewolfs are also pretty puny overall (design flaw IMO), so you'll need to help them with more damage. Gratuitous Violence, Shared Animosity, and Berserkers' Onslaught are options.

You might want to consider some more recursion to get back Moonmist more often. Shreds of Sanity, Surreal Memoir, All Suns' Dawn, Elven Cache, Eternal Witness, Nostalgic Dreams, Praetor's Counsel, Recollect, Revive, Seasons Past, and about a million more. I would stick to the low mana cost spells personally, as I'd really only try to get back Moonmist, but I would put 3-5 of them in the deck.

The last thing I would suggest is some more card draw. With all your win-cons in creatures that aren't very strong to begin with, you are going to need to out resource you opponents to secure kills. Next time you come over we can play a few rounds with it, and we'll see how it needs to be tuned.

Why not Karona, False God as your commander? He's awesome in some of the more obscure rainbow tribals. Even Child of Alara or Progenitus would be better fits. Also Crystal Quarry and Maelstrom Archangel as well as All Suns' Dawn and Conflux are Rainbow staples in EDH that I noticed weren't there. Nice deck!

Prophet_of_Xenagos hey buddy thanks for checking out the deck and for the suggestions. I already have All Suns' Dawn in the deck and I agree that it is good! the other 2 cards, alas, I do not have. I'll check in to picking them up. However, I would like to point out that Second Sunrise would also bring back your opponents creatures and artifacts back that were just destroyed by the Child of Alara or some other boardwipe. so it might be kinda counterproductive??? Faith's Reward seems better in this case.

Your first real attempt a a commander deck is five color? That's quite ambitious.

If you want to go a fun Timmy-style tribal, it might be worth considering stuff like Brass Herald, Tribal Unity, and Door of Destinies. In terms of just great five color cards, All Suns' Dawn, Door to Nothingness, and Legacy Weapon are super fun and useful (Door to Nothingness might get banned by your meta, judging by how strict they seem). Other stuff you might want to consider:

-Bringer of the Black Dawn

-Swords to Plowshares

-Distant Melody

-Dragonlord's Servant

-Slumbering Dragon

-Thunderbreak Regent

I like to run All Suns' Dawn in all my 5c decks. Second Sunrise and Faith's Reward may also be worth a look.

All Suns' Dawn, Crypt Ghast.

Mana isn't represented by the color word, but rather the symbol for that color. A card that uses the color word in its text most likely has something to do with characteristic defining abilities or token creation, not mana production.

Your last two sentences, could you please elaborate?
