Ramp, draw cards, set up combos. Kill everything.

This deck has been a personal passion project of mine, with its identity constantly evolving over the years. It took many revisions for me to realize what I love most about the deck is its potential for combos and surprise wins, so I've created a streamlined build which capitalizes on card draw and ramp to accelerate into one of several wincons:

Sedgemoor Witch + Chain of Smog

Professor Onyx + Chain of Smog

Bolas's Citadel + Sensei's Divining Top/Necropotence + Aetherflux Reservoir

Revel in Riches before a boardwipe.

Thrilling Encore or Rise of the Dread Marn after a boardwipe.

I've omitted some of the better tutors to stray away from a completely linear game plan; sometimes the thrill of battle is enough. The deck has enough lifegain to stay alive with a relatively open board state - hopefully just in time to snatch a win from the maw of death.

Kaervek, the Punisher acts as a second secret Commander, able to save some crucial combo pieces from the grave.

Currently play-testing Tainted Strike or Darkness in place of Malakir Rebirth  .
