oh no.....a terrible thought occurred to me.....take out Cavalier of Gales, Hoarding Broodlord, Mistform Mutant, Moldgraf Monstrosity, Phyrexian Obliterator, Protean Hulk, Reaper from the Abyss, March of the World Ooze, and Kura, the Boundless Sky. put in.....Accursed Marauder, Demon's Disciple, Fleshbag Marauder, Gravelighter, Merciless Executioner, Plaguecrafter, Three Visits, Nature's Lore and Shared Roots

Crazy looking tortex build, I really like how you top out with stuff like Thoughtpicker Witch to lantern lock the opponent. If you were to update this you might consider some newer stuff like the LOTR landcyclers and Accursed Marauder. Build looks jank at first but actually I think it's really solid. +1 from me, I love tortex and sweet toolbox decks and this is both!

Glad you Like this build clayperce, i Chose Tergrid to keep this deck fair for Bracket 3, swapping her out for a Tutor makes The Deck a Bit too strong. Besides she is fun in combination with Grave Pact, No Mercy, Blasphemous Edict, Soul Shatter, Accursed Marauder and The likes, giving you what others sac,… The Sideboard is meant to make The deck more consistent, search for Gravecrawler, Forsaken Miner, Warren Soultrader or Phyrexian Altar or a „everybody sacrifices a Creature“ Card to combo and win fast.

If you are looking to slow down opponents with a bunch of discard/hate bear/taxing effects then a commander you could consider is Alesha, Who Smiles at Death.

There are a lot of 1/1 creatures that make all of your opponents discard a card, and a lot of the hate-bear cards are in the 2 or less power range. Alesha giving you a way to keep bringing them back after they die or you sac them could be a useful effect in the command zone. Cards like Dauntless Dismantler, Inspired Insurgent, or Hammer Mage might help with destroying artifacts. Lurrus of the Dream-Den and Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle in the 99 could work as backup for your commander. Requiem Monolith gives you a card draw engine that can also kill your weaker ETB creatures so that Alesha can bring them back.

Goblin Sharpshooter + a way to give it deathtouch like Basilisk Collar, Onyx Mage, or Vault of the Archangel lets you repeatedly clear creatures from your opponents' boards.

Alesha's signature trick is to attack an opponents who has lost their creatures and bring back Master of Cruelties onto the board tapped and attacking (getting around the restriction of it attacking alone). The opponent won't be able to block the MoC, so their life total becomes 1, and then Alesha finishes them off. Cards like Break Through the Line can help creatures like MoC push some damage through.

There are a variety of combos that you could run as a finisher. If you don't care for combos, then cards like Cathars' Crusade and Serra Redeemer can help to make your creatures more dangerous threats. If you end up running a lot of discard and forced sac effects like Accursed Marauder then you could potentially run Tergrid, God of FrightGC  ^Flip as one of your game changers to steal your opponents' stuff and win with that.

It's about as fun as having a 'kick each other in the nuts' competition for game night, but I feel like this Commander would benefit from some stuff like Merciless Executioner, Plaguecrafter, and Accursed Marauder. The idea is you just play one of the many variants on the theme (there are many more), sacrificing itself each time, and then get it back to play again next turn. I had to limit myself in my Meren list to only 3 of them (and no Grave Pact enchantments), but depending on your play group it could be a significant inclusion.

Goldberserkerdragon I was wrong. This deck has proven extremely resilient and powerful. I've played it a half dozen times and have yet to lose. Turns out, being able to recur things like Accursed Marauder and Vindictive Lich every single turn, or multiple times a turn, are extremely oppressive. Lol! There's also just so much synergy and low to the ground value that my pod is completely pivoting on our meta to deal with it. It's been a sleeper, for sure. It doesn't look that strong on paper, but it's been outperforming even my Konrad deck.
