Hehe, I guess I couldve gone for the moon reference, but this is a music reference believe it or not ;)

Combat damage with tokens and Jodah is the primary wincon. I prefer combat damage wincons as they are both interesting and fair. There is also potential to deal player damage with Skull Storm, Soulfire Eruption, Blast of Genius, Cruel Ultimatum, or Inspired Ultimatum.

The exact wording of the rule is:

906.14 If another rule or effect refers to your commander, it instead refers to your Oathbreaker.

The Signature Spell would have had to be explicitly named there to be included in your Skull Storm count and such. The planeswalker, and only the planeswalker that is your Oathbreaker, is what's referenced to in this format as a "Commander" on commander-specific cards like Arcane Signet.

Icbrgr Good information, but my intent was more like, does the instant/sorcery tick up the Skull Storm copy count? Does it reduce the cost of Visions of Glory? Or would those be based on the number of times you cast the planeswalker, or the planeswalker's mana cost?

You can straight up put Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh as partner and have him as a sac outlet. And if you do choose to put him i also suggest Vorpal Sword and Skull Storm. (I have my deck with rog and tev in my profile if you wanna check it out and grab some ideas)

Commander's Insignia seems like it would fit what you're looking for. Same with cards from the Storm cycle from C18 - Fury Storm, Echo Storm, Skull Storm, Genesis Storm and Empyrial Storm.

If any of these cards interest you, a really low cost commander like Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh would be a good fit.

Lots of this is what I would put in this deck, a few swap outs for creatures could be more ETB creatures that way if you cast Extus for his front you can get double value out of them. Stuff like Plaguecrafter Shriekmaw and Slum Reaper are just a few of those examples. Also doubling on Extus's ability might prove useful so stuff like Ravos, Soultender and Sheoldred, Whispering One would also make great additions. Since The back side cares about sacrificing creatures tokens are an easy way to get things to sac for the sorcery side so doubling up with Anointed Procession is a good idea. If we cast the Sorcery side a bunch of times we can also get a lot of value out of cards like Empyrial Storm Skull Storm and Fury Storm allows us to copy those spells in multiple instances as well as a Commander's Insignia may prove useful if you want to swing with creatures/tokens. Swap kill spells and throw in spells that make your opponents sacrifice as the Sorcery side already does that and throw in a Tergrid, God of Fright  Flip to get more benefit (Had to fix my first comment mb)

Yeah, I wanted it to be a black ability in dimir, so like an allied splash cycle, was my idea, but I like what you did, so... look, R&D is cooperative for this very reason. I had one idea and you made an adjacent but very compelling idea. Playtesting needs to stop by and tell us to add Delve, bc idk what else they're doing rn...


I think a wording like "Choose an instant or sorcery you cast this game Copy that spell it if it resolved. You lose life equal to that spell's mana cost." would be more correct, based on Ashling the Pilgrim / Inner-Flame Igniter / Soulbright Flamekin; Bonus Round, Mirari; Fury Storm / Echo Storm / Empyrial Storm / Genesis Storm / Skull Storm. To be clear, I'mo not a rules judge, but just looking at the syntax of existing cards with relatively adjacent abilities.
