Samut, Voice of Dissent

We want creatures that do something when they attack. We want to activate those attack triggers more than once, so we'll play additional combats. Our additional combats usually untap all our creatures, so lets make use of that too!

Attack Triggers

Our attack triggers boost Samut when she attacks. With Samut’s double strike you get the power boost each hit. When we stack our triggers properly, Cultivator of Blades, Wild Beastmaster, and Pathbreaker Ibex give huge bonuses. There are also other effects we can get while attacking. Savage Ventmaw, Grand Warlord Radha, and Neheb, the Eternal can give us mana post combat to play some pieces defensively or follow up with an extra combat.

Combats

We want to attack a lot. With extra combat steps, we get to activate our attack triggers again, and again. The bonuses we got from attacking were until end of turn, so we get to apply them again, making our second strike even stronger. Things start to get ridiculous with Cultivator of Blades, Pathbreaker Ibex, or Wild Beastmaster We get to grow our ranks even bigger with Hero of Bladehold, and Hanweir Garrison. Just note that creature tokens that enter attacking don’t cause “Whenever a creature attacks” on Gahiji, Honored One or Odric, Lunarch Marshal to trigger. But they are considered “attacking” for Battle Cry and Jazal Goldmane

Elves

The mana ramp base is built on elves. The reasoning is, that our extra combats will untap all our creatures (but some only untap attacking creatures). Copper Horn Scout also gives our elves a second wind.

Draw

Even though we are not playing monsters much, we are planing on pumping, so we can run a powers matter card draw package with Greater Good. Planeswalkers double as removal when needed, and we are light on removal, so make use of the minus when necessary. The rest of our draw is on "cast a creature" triggers. We run a ton of creatures, so even drawing a mana dork late can help cycle through your deck.

Keywords

For evasion we play Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma for a pump and trample, that can go on the stack after our other pumps to meat the power requirement. Champion of Lambholt forces our creatures through and grows up fast. The Odrics work great with Samut by spreading her keywords or forcing bad blocks.

Politics

Disrupt Decorum and Grenzo, Havoc Raiser are a great way to force your opponents to attack each other. Master Warcraft can be used creatively to mind slaver someone's attack step, or force through your army. Gisela, Blade of Goldnight and Gahiji, Honored One make goaded creatures hit harder.

Going Infinite

Savage Ventmaw, Neheb, the Eternal, and Grand Warlord Radha, will all give you enough mana to use Aggravated Assault multiple times. Sword of Feast and Famine or Bear Umbra do the same, but I'd prefer more attacking bodies. Even with enough elves, and Skyshroud Elf to filter, you can get enough {R} to reuse the enchantment to either attack or make infinite mana. But the real spice is with Helm of the Host, just equip to any creature that can make an additional combats when they attack and go nuts. Godo, Bandit Warlord fetches, plays, and combos with the helm. Helm has enough value to use on just about any creature so it deserves the slot.

Meta Calls

Adjust your version of the deck with some protection against common archetypes. Against counter spells you have Grand Abolisher, Dragonlord Dromoka, Prowling Serpopard, or Vexing Shusher. Linvala, Keeper of Silence shuts down Rhys the Redeemed, Captain Sisay, Najeela, the Blade-Blossom, and others. For sacrifice themed grindy decks, Sigarda, Host of Herons or Tajuru Preserver let you keep your board. Rest in Peace stops Slimefoot, the Stowaway and Grave Pact entirely since creatures exile instead of die. Artifact hate such as Stony Silence and Kataki, War's Wage are great against my meta. Graveyard hate should always be considered in EDH. Rest in Peace does the job. When facing Muldrotha, the Gravetide, other reanimators, or cascade users like Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder use Grafdigger's Cage. Tutor generals like General Tazri, Yisan, the Wanderer Bard, or Razaketh, the Foulblooded hate Aven Mindcensor and Stranglehold. For this next card I say to put this in only if your opponents play tons of board wipes, because he is an oppressive Kithkin: Gaddock Teeg. Combo control, spell slingers, and storm say hello to Ruric Thar, the Unbowed. When blue taps for an overloaded Cyclonic Rift you don't have many outs. Pyroblast and Red Elemental Blast side in nicely when indestructible doesn't matter. Alternatively, you can try Ghostway or it's cheaper twin Eerie Interlude if you see more and more white wraths that exile or tuck your creatures. The answer to anything is Teferi's Protection with the downside that it costs an arm and a leg. Faith's Reward is a budget replacement that works well with Greater Good.

Ways to Improve

Obviously the land base could be stronger with original duals, but I do put this deck on a fair budget. Getting our colors is so important, its hard to fit in all the utility lands that I want. Deck smoothers like Sensei's Divining Top and Sylvan Library can help, but personally I think waste everyone's time, and unless you run a ton of fetches, are of little use. Tutors can be interesting with the number of legends in our deck, Captain Sisay, or the budget friendly Thalia's Lancers have something to offer. Time of Need isn't a 2-for-1 by being a body, can't find planeswalkers, but can find some of our stronger pieces. I really think Eladamri's Call is great and can work with Sunforger Removal is not something I put much thought into. We could have board wipes in white and red. I think I'd rather just clear out blockers with Insurrection or Mob Rule. I still feel we need more spot removal. Beast Within, Oblation, and Chaos Warp are some cards I might slot in, but I want to see what works best in the deck before cutting out the chaff for answers. We need answers to pillow forts. Knight of Autumn, Reclamation Sage, and Qasali Pridemage or Cleansing Nova mode 2 can deal with the enchantments, but it doesn't answer the creatures with taxes stapled to them.
