Playing this deck can be very techy,

The general plan to pilot this deck is:

• You want to play mana rocks first,

• Then a planeswalker or a pillowfort effect,

• Followed by a wrath and/or an armageddon effect.

• Ultimate your planeswalker on an empty board,

• Make your opponents cringe.

The central piece of this deck is Rings of Brighthearth .

• With Basalt Monolith you can go infinite colorless mana (so you can double all your planeswalkers' effects) Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth .

• With Sensei's Divining Top you can draw your entire deck Rings of Brighthearth + Sensei's Divining Top .

• With Jace, Wielder of Mysteries , you can then win the game right off the spot

• With Codex Shredder , you can get back to your hand every cards from your graveyard. Codex Shredder + Rings of Brighthearth .

Here's the sequence for the combo Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth

• Tap Basalt Monolith for ( manas in pool)

• Use untap ability of Basalt Monolith ( mana in pool)

• Copy that ability with Rings of Brighthearth (- mana in pool)

• Let the copy resolves, untap Basalt Monolith (- mana in pool)

• Tap Basalt Monolith for ( mana in pool)

• Let the original ability resolves, untap Basalt Monolith ( mana in pool)

• Rinse and repeat

You are in the same position as the beginning of the sequence, except you have one more mana in your mana pool.

Another favorite plan of this deck is to play Doubling Season then:

• Either Tamiyo, Field Researcher : to have essentially Omniscience and three cards ( so you can play easily under a Winter Orb or after you land an Armageddon or Ravages of War ).

• And/or Tamiyo, the Moon Sage : to replay ad nauseam our Vindicate , Beast Within , Supreme Verdict , etc.

Or any of the following planeswalkers to land their Ultimate right off the bat:

• Ugin, the Spirit Dragon to cheat lands and other planeswalkers on the field,

• Narset Transcendent (particularly brutal with humility into play),

• Jace, Architect of Thought (to grab and play their best spell and to find and play another part of our ultimate machine gun plan, but generally cheat one of the Tamiyo or Doubling Season into play),
