Oath of Liliana Discussion

I run mardu walkers in standard and do pretty well. Try the oath cards, especially Oath of Chandra and Oath of Liliana. Both are removal with added value later, the later being extra good pumping out 2/2 creatures. Given the high amount of discard, you may get some benefit from madness, since you have a few discard outlets.

Some on flavor card choices would be:
Bolas is another story entirely. He has tons of flavor cards. I have personally chosen to leave out Planeswalkers from my Gatewatch decks, leaving the Commander as the only Planeswalker. My Bolas deck will have each copy of Bolas.
Something to note is most cards that benefit Planeswalkers only benefit you, like The Chain Veil. It does not provide benefit to your allies.

Cool deck, the backstory provides a nice touch! I think to lower the curve, you could replace Angelic Arbiter and Blazing Archon with good wrath effects like Toxic Deluge or Austere Command. Oath of Liliana can also be quite good, providing an edict effect for each opponent while protecting your walkers.

I see, maybe with a slight deck changes will it work. It is true that win condition is a bit blurred in the deck. I'll go for control the table, forcing your opponent to sacrifice (or destroy) his or her creatures while you overwhelm it with yours.

Cryptbreaker - Great for dumping creatures into the graveyard, making tokens, and drawing you cards.
Death Baron - Not a budget option, but highly effective.
Empty the Pits - I have a bunch of these from my Khans redemption.
Ghoulcaller Gisa - A great way to get creatures in to the bin and make a significant amount of token zombies.
Ghoulcaller's Chant - An interesting option as you can recur two zombies for one black mana.
Grave Betrayal - Similar to your commander's abilities as it steals dead creatures and makes them zombies under your control.
Graveborn Muse - Card draw FTW!!!
Gravespawn Sovereign - A spendy activated ability for an powerhouse ability.
Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet - Not all creatures need to fit the tribal theme as your commander makes them Zombies.
Liliana's Reaver - Token generation, discard effect, decent rate. Viable option.
Necromantic Selection A board wipe with a recursion ability.
Noosegraf Mob This card makes a ridiculous amount of zombies!
Quest for the Gravelord - An interesting, cheap, enchantment with repeatable value.
Risen Executioner - Odd Zombie Lord.
Rooftop Storm - A must in any Zombie deck.
Metallic Mimic - Lord
Vizier of Many Faces - Clones!
AND OF COURSEZombie Fanboy

Hey ClockworkSwordfish thanks for the input! I'll be honest, I used to run a couple Alms Beast in the deck, but removed them since they were usually immediately dealt with. Sideboarding into them could be a good idea though. Thanks for the Wall of Shards idea, I didn't know that one existed! I used to have Condemn in the sideboard, I believe I replaced the copies with Blessed Alliance. Devour Flesh, while the lifegain is relevant, would be competing with Oath of Liliana which also has synergies with Enlightened Tutor and the planeswalkers in the deck. Also, I like the art way more. As for your criticisms, thank you. However, I have an alternate win-con with the guildmage, and my defensive presence is stronger than you think. Anguished Unmaking, Vindicate, Oath of Liliana, Dash Hopes, Benevolent Offering, and Swords to Plowshares all interact with my opponent while trying to keep me more alive than they are. While, I am near-creatureless, the removal/planeswalker package tends to help out in that department. I took a look at your version and it's very cool (get that False Cure out of the maybeboard though!!!).
