Oath of Liliana
When Oath of Liliana enters the battlefield, each opponent sacrifices a creature.
At the beginning of each end step, if a planeswalker entered the battlefield under your control this turn, put a 2/2 black Zombie creature token onto the battlefield.

Oath of Liliana Discussion

Hey ClockworkSwordfish thanks for the input! I'll be honest, I used to run a couple Alms Beast in the deck, but removed them since they were usually immediately dealt with. Sideboarding into them could be a good idea though. Thanks for the Wall of Shards idea, I didn't know that one existed! I used to have Condemn in the sideboard, I believe I replaced the copies with Blessed Alliance. Devour Flesh, while the lifegain is relevant, would be competing with Oath of Liliana which also has synergies with Enlightened Tutor and the planeswalkers in the deck. Also, I like the art way more. As for your criticisms, thank you. However, I have an alternate win-con with the guildmage, and my defensive presence is stronger than you think. Anguished Unmaking, Vindicate, Oath of Liliana, Dash Hopes, Benevolent Offering, and Swords to Plowshares all interact with my opponent while trying to keep me more alive than they are. While, I am near-creatureless, the removal/planeswalker package tends to help out in that department. I took a look at your version and it's very cool (get that False Cure out of the maybeboard though!!!).

Norn's Annex is a must in this deck! My play group has a lot of artifacts, so Darksteel Forge is a real annoying threat amongst other indestructible creatures and artifacts, soo cards like Anguished Unmaking, Utter End, and merciless eviction are planeswalkers best friends cuz they exile, also Return to Dust is a fantastic card for more artifact/enchament removal in the form of exile!
Sphinx's Revelation is super good life gain and card draw and normally when my atraxa walkers deck im usually the first to get attacked, I play a littler higher creature base with cards like Wall of Omens and Wall of Blossoms, OH AND Spike Weaver IS AMAZING WITH ATRAXA!

Transgress the Mind is better than Lay Bare the Heart, specifically because it can get Aetherworks Marvel. You might want to put Dispossess in your sideboard as well. Yahenni's Expertise is also good for weenie board wipes. Murder or Ruinous Path over Final Reward. Ob Nixilis Reignited would also be good here. Fatal Push over Dead Weight. You would get more value out of Oath of Liliana than Trial of Ambition if you put in Ob. Also Grasp of Darkness needs to be in here as well. I would even consider putting in Harsh Scrutiny

Thanks very much for the feedback, I've since modified the deck a little bit to include more zombies so I wanna keep the mini tribal theme in there for now.
Whilst this isn't "budget" as such I'm trying to avoid any overly oppressive cards, I have a pretty casual playgroup and cards like Phyrexian Obliterator are a bit too extreme (it's also why Oath of Liliana is in here over Vile Requiem, I've tried to include as many "Liliana" cards as possible).
May have to look into Vengeful Dead, Cemetery Reaper and Scourge of Nel Toth as they both seem very much on theme with what I want to be doing, originally had Whip of Erebos in and might add it back just to give the deck a little more sustain.
Have taken out Shimmering Grotto and Cascading Cataracts, was gonna keep them in just in case I reanimated a creature with off-colour activated abilities, but just having the creature is usually good enough.
Thanks again for your help, I'm gonna keep tinkering away at this deck whilst I still grab a lot of the essential components (who'd have thought a mono-colour mana base would be a pain to build? :P)

Your lack of disturbs me. Sorin, Grim Nemesis and Ob Nixilis Reignited are very good; being able to impact the board as soon as they drop. My issue with Nissa, Steward of Elements is that, other than playing her huge for the big beats, she does literally nothing. Another suggestion would be Oath of Liliana. This oath ends up generating SOOO many Zombie tokens from just playing your walkers and offers a nice T3 tempo play.
I would echo what mack10k said about going down some Chandra, Flamecaller, but also note that this card is just great against the Zombie decks. Combine Chandra, Flamecaller with adult nissa (Nissa, Vital Force) and you can repeatedly wrath tokens and zombies into oblivion. Maybe 2 main, 1 side. Also, I agree that Oath of Gideon seems not that great. Planeswalkers have the inevitability of winning and I cant see the extra 1 loyalty being that important. Plus the 1/1 tokens are pretty meh.
My other suggestions are all here: Five Color Superfriends

I actually quite like this idea, but I feel a little awkward in some of the card choices.
Hypnotic Siren and Spreading Seas feel underwhelming for me- the lack of islandwalk makes seas pretty do-nothing, and siren is only really functional once you have two anvils running, which could be a removal spell, or chumps once. The lack of g/w cuts a lot of enchantment options, but there are some really interesting tools available that should help out. Eldrazi Conscription/Arcanum Wings and Sanguine Bond/Exquisite Blood have been classics in these colours for a while. Tainted Remedy is interesting sideboard, Underworld Connections/Phyrexian Arena/Dark Tutelage Dictate of Kruphix are their usual selves, and Paradox Haze could make those upkeep triggers, Leyline of Anticipation is interesting, allowing flash cloudstone shenanigans. Bitterblossom Provides board presence while being resistant to creature-removal, Necrogen Mists, Dictate of Erebos, No Rest for the Wicked Seal of Doom/Trial of Ambition/Oath of Liliana, Necrotic Plague, Endless Whispers Waste Not or Descent into Madness all speak to possible strategies.
One card that you absolutely must run is Whip of Erebos as a two-of. The lifelink keeps you in the game, and the graveyard recursion keeps constellation triggering. Gonti's Machinations is worthwhile against burn. Mimic Vat is good with mage.
I've been trying to get Blood Funnel working in these lists, but it just doesn't- the costs inflicted are too high, with boardwipes ending your game. Don't bother.
I can't think of anything else that isn't just the usual format staples and sideboards- good luck making it work.

+1 love this deck. I play a similar build. I find if an Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger sticks I just die. I have Oath of Liliana and To the Slaughter to combat the Marvel/Eldrazi problem. I found Glorybringer is just better than the Goblin Dark-Dwellers. It comes with its own removal spell and attacks 1st turn it comes down/reanimates. It also allows me to play Tormenting Voice/Collective Brutality over Succumb to Temptation. Having a bin full of creatures is key when big lili comes to play.
