Nath of the Gilt-Leaf Commander deck that is mostly Elf tribal with a slight discard subtheme.

The deck description is outdated!

Nath of the Gilt-Leaf is in Black and Green which gives the deck two primary characteristics: creatures and distruption.

Green has strong creatures and Elves are a typical Green creature type so forming an Elf Tribal around Nath was natural, because he is also a token Generator.

Now that Nath already causes discarding himself to make tokens, why not to take advantage of the ability with cards such as Dark Deal? And thus was the discard subtheme added.

This deck has basically two primary win conditions, also adding one more infinite combo would do but I have suspended adding more, because my main playgroup is rather casual and using infinite combos is not exactly fun.

First Win Codition Show

Second Win Condtion Show

Immaculate Magistrate+Joraga Warcaller for a Coat of Armseffect.

Nath of the Gilt-Leaf+Sadistic Hypnotist for "infinite" discard.

Nath of the Gilt-Leaf+Waste Not+Mind Slash for pseudo infinite discard. This combo requires some more resources to get going. Works by first looking into opponents' hands and discarding all lands and then all other cards by paying the mana from Waste Not and saccing the tokens Nath generates.

And the infinite mill I mentioned was Bloodchief Ascension+Mindcrank

The major weakness of this deck, and other swarm strategies are "Wrath effects", card like Wrath of God that destroys all creatures on the battlefield.

I will update the description once I have gathered more information about this deck and how it works and how people react to it, after all Commander is all about interactions between multiple players. Also deck is running very few lands, so I might add a few more.
