Court of Ambition
When Court of Ambition enters the battlefield, you become the monarch.
At the beginning of your upkeep, each opponent loses 3 life unless they discard a card. If you're the monarch, instead each opponent loses 6 life unless they discard two cards.

Add Ramp and Courts
Reduce the less impact cards

I spoke to iamhikari:
Plan: Pivot towards aristocrats, lower the CMC, maybe more taxing. Though I think going more into the Monarch theme might be more fun/unique. We can try this first:
Mana fix and ramp:
Expand reach and lower CMC of your removal:
Return to Dust
+1 Chaos Warp
+1 Generous Gift ....alternatively there are some 2 mana removal cards in Strixhaven that might be fun to try out.
+1 either Path to Exile or the cheaper Dire Tactics
+1 Soul-Guide Lantern
Pivot to Aristocrats:
Still need to deal with your creatures and maybe do some more token generation or something. I'll keep thinking and get back to you.

ShaDoWz_6677, Possessed Portal does seem to be a strong card, even though 8 mana seems high I guess we are slowing the game down enough and have enough ramp/mana rocks to get there quickly. I actually own not one, but TWO Chains of Mephistopheles ...was one of the first cards I added to the brew. Court of Ambition is also in this deck.
I love your decklist and primer, and will take a few of your combo ideas to add to this one. I also need to up my mana base a little...probably cutting a few of the dead weight elves.

TeaTimeWizard be mindful, that's a stax deck. But you can get some GREAT discard pieces out of it. Possessed Portal is one that a lot of people skip on when you think Nath. it's a house in the deck. Then you have the $1500 Chains of Mephistopheles which is the best card in Nath. But I truly believe you can play Nath without using Chains.
Theres a lot that you can do to toy around with discard and making people have to effectively deal with your deck.
Court of Ambition is pretty good for this as well.

Monarchy also seems to work really well with your commander, as you're forcing everyone to attack someone other than yourself. Court of Ambition , Skyline Despot , Emberwilde Captain , Court of Ire . Captive Audience is also a rude card, as you'll force your opponents to attack eachother with the zombies, giving you five zombies to run amok.
General rude Rakdos cards, something like Mind Twist or Rakdos's Return can cripple a player. Combined with having to attack someone else leaving themselves open seems like it'd be really backbreaking!

Nice deck, I very much like the concept.
I just wondered how does the group slut card like Mogis, God of Slaughter or Court of Ambition fared, because I don't see much card to pressure life total (I guess Kroxa and Torment does a bit but from my understanding it is not their primary purpose) or to gain back the monarch. Is it just to pressure ad naus deck?

Cards to maybe add

i have several questions about "how to build" her. there may be no technical proper way but i have several ideas and at the root of my questioning is, is there such thing of having too much going on inside a deck? that being asked. my first run with her was a "control" super friends. by that i was using the typical mardu removal package to "control" the board, and generally winning by gideon's being gideon's and becoming creatures. also small win percentage came from cards like. Elspeth, Sun's Champion Anointed Procession and Divine Visitation etc etc
my though is i have a mogis deck could i take the core of the Mogis, God of Slaughter deck that i have and remove the small chunk of filler rakdos cards and replace with white for the obvious spot removal, board wipes, and extra slug cards that white offers, or better yet tax like cards?? while using the monach ability, and cards that support that. for example rakdos group slug now mardu because of queen marchesa for cards like Court of Grace Court of Ambition Court of Ire
white enchantments ...(to name a few)
and due to the white addition. you have access to WAY better spot removal not just in mono white but white/black. also access to more wraths.
that being said what would the win cons be in this made up deck??? my assumption would be between the damage from group slug effects, keeping some planes walkers to make dudes or swing with themselves. on top of the fact of having a few creatures in the deck. it all comes down to my original question is all of this going on in side the deck too much of different things going on to be a hindrance or are these 3 or 4 things actually decent enough to work together with out the deck tripping over it self??
