The central theme of this deck is forced sacrifice, as evidenced by it having Thraximundar as its general. Naturally, the deck contains many ways to force its opponents to sacrifice permanents (mainly creatures) as well as ways to benefit from such sacrifices. Some of the creatures in this deck have high mana costs, so there are plenty of inexpensive cards of other types to hurt the opponents while the player builds their mana for an offensive strike.
