Poppet Stitcher

Creature — Human Wizard

Whenever you cast an instant or or sorcery spell, create a 2/2 black Zombie creature token with decayed. (It can't block. When it attacks, sacrifice it at the end of combat.)

At the beginning of your upkeep, if you control three or more creature tokens, you may transform this.

Personally, if I were going for redundancy in this deck, I'd have 3 copies of a lesser cost card, like Eaten Alive and Poppet Stitcher  Flip and 2 copies of a greater cost card, like Hero's Downfall and Geralf, Visionary Stitcher.

I don't think you have enough instants with a mana value of 2 or less to justify Discover the Impossible in your deck. May I suggest replacing them with either Fading Hope or Joint Exploration? Yes, you won't have any green to pay the kicker cost for Joint Exploration, but your opponents don't have to know that. >:D

May I suggest replacing Revenge of the Drowned with two more copies of either Crawl from the Cellar (for easier access to Poppet and Geralf) or No Way Out (for extra controlling aspects for the deck)? If these do not appeal to you then my next suggestion would be to replace Revenge of the Drowned with more zombie cards to feed into Archghoul of Thraben. May I suggest either Bladestitched Skaab or 2 more copies of Tainted Adversary? If you go with Bladestitched Skaab, I'd recommend replacing one copy of Champion of the Perished with it.

I hope all this helps. Thank you for reading me out. Happy Hunting!

That's kind of an interesting pick for a swap martinant365. I think Marchesa, the Black Rose is cool and am considering her as a potential deck transition for Anhelo, but I don't think she fits all that well in the 99 for Anhelo.

Marchesa wants to play more aggressively, and swing with creatures each combat. Anhelo tends to lean more spellslinger, and utilizes a smaller creature base and token producers to create fodder for Casualty 2.

I noticed your deck is missing some token creators that can be really helpful for an Anhelo deck. Some helpful ones are:

I would also generally recommend swapping some of your sorcery speed removal and interaction for more instant speed stuff. Instant speed removal combined with consistent token generation can help you remove multiple permanents per removal spell, which is really what Anhelo's specialty is.

i love token decks... I recently made a jeskai spell spam variant focused around Poppet Stitcher  Flip and Gather the Townsfolk instead of using Intangible Virtue. I really like this Abzan build +1

I also have been dabbling with jeskai tokens.... besides Monastery Mentor there is Young Pyromancer and Poppet Stitcher  Flip which I have been using with great success... Raise the Alarm is also nice for instant speed synergy with stitcher.

@ColonelCards the Goal/win condition of the deck is to play Poppet Stitcher  Flip and or Young Pyromancer/Monastery Mentor and cast instant and sorcery spells to create a large number of Tokens... when poppet stitcher transforms into Poppet Factory  Flip the tokens become a swarm of 3/3's... casting thing like Opt, Consider and Faithful Mending create tokens and get more cards in hand to cast additional spells for removal or countermagic to snowball into just having an overwhelming board presence of creatures/tokens beating the opponent down.

  • Poppet Stitcher  Flip Is great when you have 1/1s but bad if they do anything more. Prowess is an ability so you tokens wouldn't be as strong. 3 mana is also fairly espensive. We would want to slow the game down more. I might suggest Luminarch Ascension being this is a value control deck. It helps keep card advantage and if you are holding mana you can sink it here at the end step.
  • Manamorphose also seems pretty good in the deck its a spell that gives you your mana back/fixes it into any of your needed colors and is card neutral.
  • Hard Evidence might be replaced with Slight of Hand or Serum Visions being you want to filter your deck better.
  • You are sitting a 8 fetchlands i wouldnt go past 6, 6 shock lands is also high Jeskai control is current running 7 fetch and 3 shock lands.
  • Consider Mystic Gate Castle Vantress Celestial Colonnade 1x Raugrin Triome Hall of Storm Giants 1x Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire The creature lands can help close games or stall games when needed. They also are more evasive which can help. Utility lands are worth it they really help. Fiery Islet and Sunbaked Canyon can also help draw cards and filter. I run 5 in my burn deck.
  • I also think 6 basics is a lot i would only do 2-3 personally. Espically when Seachrome Coast Inspiring Vantage and Spirebluff Canal exist.
  • Spectral Procession is a good value card to think about, Lingering Souls is also a card but i wouldnt go that route personally.
  • Boros Charm is also a great card that can protect against board wipes or give some burst with a mentor token or just give you the needed reach to close some games.
  • Let me know if you want me to look at the deck some more

Oof waitaminute.... would Dreadhorde Invasion not mesh with a flipped Poppet Stitcher  Flip?

Sedgemoor Witch might work instead?
