You have a card draw/bearhug theme, maybe you should make this a Nekusar, the Mindrazer deck? jakeyuki12 Everyone has their preferred land amount. I play games all the time with 33 lands. 1/3rd of your deck being land is plenty enough. Putting it another way, I'm less likely to be fucked by getting too much land when I need to draw something important. There aren't an insane amount of high cost cards in the deck.

Otherwise, yes, I've thought about adding Skullclamp and adding in more ramp and draw. However since we are not in green, these cards can be pricey. This deck isn't meant to be going against 800$+ decks. I'm running Esper Sentinel and Smothering Tithe ... These are already pushing some high cost cards. While we have some more reasonable draw and ramp with Wyleth, Soul of Steel , Sol Ring , Arcane Signet , Thought Vessel , Tome of the Guildpact , Heartwarming Redemption , and Thrilling Discovery .

I think your critique was coming from a point of top tier money pit view, instead of what the deck is meant to be.
