Just checked your lands, you probably should look for some lands that don't enter tapped. Either way IMHO you'd be better off running budget fetchlands like Evolving Wilds over non-Basics like Guildgates, there are effects that will punish you for having non-Basics, and you don't need heavy fixing in here. You really, really want to use 1 drops and untapped lands in Modern, I took the liberty of looking up a few possible fits (relatively budget), Blackcleave Cliffs (pricey but good turn 1), Blightstep Pathway Flip (pricey), Foreboding Ruins (good with lots of Basics, dirt cheap), Sulfurous Springs (great with your life gain, very cheap), budget Basic fetching lands are worse than untapped duals, but most people already have multiple Evolving Wilds/Terramorphic Expanse kicking around, and they added the new Riveteers Overlook too fwiw.
If you want sneaky way to fix/ramp, you might try out Rakdos Keyrune, normally a 3 mana rock sucks, but this can also be a 3/1 First Strike for relatively little mana, and it's usually much harder to kill than a traditional creature. If you really want to keep a bunch of big mana cards then adding some ramp like this wouldn't hurt.

Hi grumbledore, I've noticed that quite a few of the following cards are uncategorized, and figured they could fit into some of the following categories you have on site:
Arcane Lighthouse - Removal or Stax, since it removes protective keywords?
Adeline, Resplendent Cathar - Aggro since she triggers on attacks.
Braid of Fire - Ramp?
Den of the Bugbear - Mana Fixing and/or Aggro because of its activated ability.
Grave Pact - Removal or Stax, since it's an edict effect
Inquisitorial Rosette - Aggro for its attack trigger and Menace anthem.
Ogre Battledriver - Aggro since it's a haste anthem.
Scheming Symmetry - Tutor
Signal Pest - Should be Aggro because of Battle Cry, and similar cards with Battle Cry are listed in Aggro.
Skullclamp - This is categorized as Aggro, but not in Draw
Teferi, Master of Time - Draw, Removal for phasing
This is not an exhaustive list, but some of the ones I noticed from looking at my own deck categories.

thanks a ton. Underrealm Lich and Acidic Slime are on my to add list already. and for Blightstep Pathway Flip i was just saying the other day i need to do some land work on this deck to make it run more efficiently so thank for pointing out to change to Darkbore Pathway Flip.

Good deck all around. I do have a couple of suggestions based on my long history with Meren.
2- Underrealm Lich is super underplayed in these reanimation-based decks, but it's beyond useful. It fills up your graveyard and protects you from milling out.
3- Blood Artist is pretty much a must-have for any aristocrats deck.
4- Grim Haruspex is incredible for card advantage.
5- Cards like Acidic Slime, Krosan Grip, and Indrik Stomphowler as most graveyard-hate cards are artifacts and enchantments and you'll want to be able to shut those cards down whenever you can (think Tormod's Crypt, Rest in Peace, Leyline of the Void, Relic of Progenitus, etc). You have some, but you could have more.
I like the deck themes you're working with; this looks pretty different from my build but I think this could help improve your power level a bit.

yea pioneer would be much easier for this deck to handle. check lands (Dragonskull Summit) are fine in pioneer, i wouldnt run more than 4 however. you might want to put in some either fast lands (Blackcleave Cliffs), slow lands (Haunted Ridge), or pathway lands (Blightstep Pathway Flip, Searstep Pathway Flip). then fill out with a lot of basics.

You have a card draw/bearhug theme, maybe you should make this a Nekusar, the Mindrazer deck? I recommend running Memorial to Folly, Path of Ancestry, Blightstep Pathway Flip, Drossforge Bridge, Talisman of Indulgence, Coldsteel Heart, Commander's Sphere, Fellwar Stone, Mind Stone, Star Compass, Fire Diamond, Charcoal Diamond, Glittering Stockpile, Prismatic Lens, Tome of the Guildpact, Exsanguinate, Read the Bones, Angrath, the Flame-Chained, Court of Ambition, Curtains' Call, Stormbreath Dragon, Fiery Confluence, Liliana's Specter, Capital Punishment, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Soul Shatter, Tectonic Giant, Graveyard Trespasser Flip, Palace Siege, Vance's Blasting Cannons Flip, Cut / Ribbons, Make an Example, Oath of Liliana, Valakut Exploration, Terminate, Liliana's Triumph, The Eldest Reborn, Unnerve, Yarok's Fenlurker, Elderfang Disciple, Skull Rend, Tasigur's Cruelty, Warchief Giant, Warlock Class, Zof Consumption Flip, Hagra Mauling Flip, Skyclave Relic, Syphon Mind, Syphon Flesh.

In efforts to improve the consistency of the mana base, I am starting to remove the lands that come in tapped no matter what and replacing them with either a basic or a cycling land for card draw. Also, Torbran didn't seem worth the effort when I drew him - one reason being his 3x casting cost was often troublesome and +2 damage didn't seem worth it compared to Rakdos, who will hopefully save me mana in the long run - we shall see!
