Akoum Stonewaker Discussion

Pretty cool looking deck! I have a couple of suggestions for more land ramp that are not as obvious I think but fun to play! Abundance is one of the best cards I can think of for Landfall abilities, but here are a few others: Animist's Awakening, Into the Wilds, Scapeshift, One with Nature, and for continuous land fall, Scouting Trek.
As for creatures, I would definitely suggest Rampaging Baloths and Undergrowth Champion. Some others for some other landfall fun is Akoum Stonewaker, Embodiment of Fury, and Embodiment of Insight. Underrated but good with what you have already.

If you're trying to make a landfall deck I would cut some of the non landfall, for example Omnath, Locus of Mana, Hornet Queen, Plated Crusher and Savage Ventmaw are neat creatures but don't contribute to the theme. I would also play a full set of evolving wilds and fetch lands, Wooded Foothills, if they're in the budget.
I'd also recommend cutting Akoum Firebird. Six mana for the 3/3 flyer landfall effect is a lot, and add another avenger. Some nice landfall creatures could be Akoum Stonewaker, Embodiment of Fury, Roil Elemental. Another useful creature could be Farhaven Elf as it will let you trigger land fall an additional time while also ramping.

Hey, thanks for leaving a comment! :) I don't plan on playing bilands as they can't be tutored with Evolving Wilds and i only need green mana until turn 4: once i have Ramunap Excavator and Evolving Wilds played i basically can't miss a landdrop, with 2 landfall triggers each turn. Chump blocking early should not be hard with the help of Undergrowth Champion. I thought about Rhonas the Indomitable too, but it turns out he doesn't help with the game plan: he won't be able to defend early and once I have a creature with 4 power I already have enough lands to grow out of control. I'm actually having doubts about my ability to tempo the early game as I still haven't playtested the deck. I could go more aggro by getting rid of Dragonmaster Outcast, Sylvan Advocate and Tireless Tracker for things like Scythe Leopard, Grove Rumbler or Snapping Gnarlid. I also am a lot more sceptical about Swell of Growth after seeing a few oppening hands. I'll give a few tries to Akoum Stonewaker, Retreat to Kazandu and Slab Hammer. Anyway I'll keep an eye open for further HOD spoilers.

I'm just gonna bombard you with a list of suggestions.

You may want to look into four Timber Gorge, as the ability to produce colors in either/or is a boon for any multi-colored deck. And do your opponents play enough Artifacts to justify Torch Fiend? If they don't, and it's just there as a body, I would recommend Akoum Stonewaker or Makindi Sliderunner as a replacement that fits the Landfall theme you have going on. Alternately Deranged Whelp or Ember-Eye Wolf also fit the same drop point of and aren't expensive to purchase as singles.

How do you sac the elemental?

Specifically activated abilities have an activation cost which will come before a colon, such as the ":" in Blinking Spirit's ability. Some activated abilities are keyword abilities (like equip) where the colon appears in the reminder text and/or rules document, such as Bone Saw. Triggered abilities may have a cost involved to use them, such as on Akoum Stonewaker, but these still don't trigger Crackdown Construct's ability because they are still triggered abilities and not activated abilities.

I am kinda hesitant about the cards that allow your opponents to search for lands as well. Sure, the ability to search for a massive amount of lands helps your landfall triggers go off and such, but unfortunately if they see that you are playing with Landfall, then they are going to be less likely to shell in the mana help things like Collective Voyage. Also, this extra mana you may or may not give your opponents may end up haunting you, since that could be the extra mana that they need to go off with their decks, and essentially end the game. Orzhov Advokist can also be a bit of a concern, since if they don't find you threatening, then they will take the counters to beef themselves up, but as soon as you look threatening to them, or you play a card they know is going to get out of hand, they will completely ignore Orzhov Advokist, and go straight for your face with their beefed up creatures. Maybe instead of Collective Voyage, you could run cards like Rampant Growth, Cultivate or Kodama's Reach, which get you basic land cards onto the battle field, trigger Landfall, and get you more mana without helping your opponents go off with their decks. Orzhov Advokist could be replaced by some other Landfall creature, such as Hedron Crab, Akoum Stonewaker, or even Lotus Cobra, etc. There are tons of options, the ones I gave were just low CMC, since I noticed the CMC of your deck is fairly high. Also, consider adding signets, Thran Dynamo, Gilded Lotus, or Caged Sun, so you can ramp out your creatures faster, get those Landfall creatures out and effecting the board state in your favor.
